How about DM/SR? I'm sure Werner will agree that a DM/SR is an excellent scrapper. Easy to get positional defense over 45%, then you can work on other parts of the build.

Open up every attack with Parry. I'd go as far as saying rely on it to keep you alive. First attack out the blocks is always Parry on my BS/WP, and I wouldn't ever play him differently.

Goodbye Shockwave, hello Fireball
Fireball's damage is much better than Shockwave's.

Gah, too much thinking involved in this! So, am I best having Spin in my attack chain?
-
This? If end seems an issue, I'm happy carrying some blue insps.

I was at work all evening, so didn't loose (
) out. The maintenance isn't a problem in my eyes. I'm quite happy to give them a change (
) to sort things out by taking the game down when needed.
-
I'm so stupid! I meant Unstoppable. Guessing you didn't look at my build and see where the Steadfast unique is placed, then notice my mistake
I forgot to answer this earlier. I'm far too used to my Claws/Regen, and when I'm playing as him I use Shockwave to keep the damage I take down. Knock them down, they can't attack. I guess I'm using it on my Invuln just to get the set bonuses, but if I can fire it off and get the positioning right, I could use it to knock enemies into a corner and get them close together. Then i can then take full advantage of Invincibility. Bit of a crazy idea, but it could work. -
Thanks for that mauk2. The extra Def makes the build you posted look awesome. Slight drop in recharge and accuracy, but I think I can deal with that.
On my Claws/Regen, I use Followup/Slash/Focus/Strike as an attack chain. I like Slash as it knocks down the targets defense a bit, and the four attacks link up seamlessly. My Claws/Regen only has 8% more recharge than the build you posted, so running my attack chain should work without any gaps while Hasten is active. Plus, knocking off some of my targets Def should make up for the bit of accuracy lost in the build you posted.
I don't know why, but I love the power Assault. I've got it in my Claws/Regen build, and I'm now considering it for my Claws/Invuln. Unstoppable (not Unyielding, silly Cheese!)... Do I really need it? Could I replace it with Assault, shove the Steadfast unique in Resist Physical Damage, and drop an End Reduction IO in Assault. I've moved a few other things around as well, hopefully for the better. Have a look, and tell me what you think. -
I think DM would be fine while flying, as I'm pretty sure Dark Consumption and Soul Drain will still hit while off the ground.
-
I've gone old-school and made a Claws/Invuln scrapper. I'm a fan of Claws, and Invuln is a great on my tanker so I thought I'd give it a go on a scrapper for the first time. So, here's the build. Have a look, and tell me if anything needs changing.

This announcement has made my day! Day off today, and I get to spend it playing around with the new Mids update. I'm a happy Cheese!

Quote:You never even respecced when fitness went inherent? You're missing out there.I find this idea of... respecing... amusing.
I've never, ever, respeced. Ever. I make a character, and it's the way I want it. Every time. And not due to Mids. Due to my looking at the powers that the character can grow into, making a list, and then modifying it as I see gaps in the armor, so to speak, but NEVER going back and saying "oh, that power sucks" or "Oh, I wish I'd done THIS with the character..."
Guess that's just me, though.I find that insta-specing isn't something I would ever use... I horde the respecs simply because I never use them.
Why yes.. yes I suppose I *am* bragging or such. Anyways...
---
My thought is that insta-respecs aren't a good idea. But, if you were to, oh, I dunno, have to work for them via a solo trial, sort of like unlocking the stores in Founders, Bricks, and Perigrine, and how you can do a Terra Volta, then maybe they could set up a mission set you could get one a week, and if that's your bag, have at it.
Oh, I got it. Do Tip Missions and get to respec instead of change alignment. There. That's it, I fixed it. -
I think having to position yourself to take full advantage of the attack is part of the fun. It's not really that hard to hit a few (or more) with Slice, as long as you shuffle yourself into a good position before you fire it off.

If you ever need help with a build, the forums are a great place to ask. If you are unsure on a build you've made on Mids, or just want someone to post you a build (the former is preferred but the latter does happen often), just post in the relevant section and people will try their best to help you out.
I hope you do find a solution which doesn't involve you leaving the game for good. It's always a shame to see people leave due to being unhappy with something about the game. -
Quote:So they're what happens when I goat and a donkey make love? It's true that the original depictions of unicorns depicted them as much smaller and more slender than horses with cloven hooves instead of a horse's one piece hoof; basically far more like a goat or gazelle in appearance.
Hell, just take a look at the Unicorn Tapestry in the Cloisters in New York City if you want to see a traditional unicorn. Of course centuries of legend and tradition is negated by the 20th century airbrushed depiction of a beefy horse with a horn from a poster if you saw the poster first. That's just how it is. (For some.) Anyway the modern version looks like it would feed someone for longer. -
I want kompensasions!!!!! Raaarrrrrrrr

And wow, Zwillinger replied to one of my posts! I feel all important now lol.

Oh, how great! I'm going to have to drink more alcohol now!

Is it just me, or have a load of the servers just closed?

Listen to 80's and 90's cheesy music for the next few hours. That'll make you feel a whole lot better about the situation. That's what I'm doing, and I feel fantastic!
If it hadn't been for Cotton-Eye Joe
I'd been married long time ago
Where did you come from where did you go
Where did you come from Cotton-Eye Joe
See! I bet you feel better about it already...
Quote:I love you! That was pretty damn funnyPrecisely. So since a week game time is about 20x the amount that the downtime was....
the next time you are texting in line at the bank, and hold up the line, you have to wait for the next 20 people to pass you by before you go.
And the next time you miss an appointment at the doctor's (for whatever reason, because you gave the same consideration), and they lose an hour appointment, you have to work 20 hours for them to compensate.
And if you happen to have an accident on the road? Fuggedaboutit! Let's say each person held up behind you lost 15 minutes, and I'll guess 100 people (conservatively - we want to be reasonable), right? So 100*15*20 minutes working for them, that's... 1250 hours. So take 7 and a half months off from work to make up all that time.
That's reasonable, for the comparable inconvenience, right? -

So, who's up for a night in with the Big Cheese, drinking loads and watching TV/playing 360?
