  1. Found this guy while drive-bying the Hollows, and picked him up again along with his brother to join me and Darkdrium and Andy on that frickin' long midnight train ride of a Hollows mish... Atta. We had a total blast, conversing on the proper uses of Hasten and Stamina and the state of the comics world while plowing through stacks and stacks of Trolls. Here is that rare prize, a newcomer to CoH who has brains and is a pleasure to be around.

Oh, and his costume rocks. --->Orangatank
  2. I think you mean Vischeck. This site will convert a submitted image so that color-sensitive people can see how it looks to the colorblind, and it can also convert an image to be more color-blind-friendly. Try it on your CoH screenshots!

I'll spread the word on Victory once a date is set. There's about twenty or thirty roleplayers that I know of who would likely be interested, ranging from several 50's to the high teens.

As for activities, most of the trials have rather strict limits. A Cavern of Transcendence trial would be fun, if only because it's so new and such a royal pain in the [censored] to get that most folks mains will never have done it. Otherwise, I'd be up for just joining a temporary supergroup or three and running various story arcs together. Even if we just gather somewhere and chat, that would be fun - or have a clearinghouse area where folks not on teams will hang out until they get picked up - or for those who prefer to roleplay mainly while things are calm, instead of during a fight.

Also, IMHO for this first event, players *will* be bringing their mains. Maybe in later events we'll bring our other characters to show off.

No problem Xanatos sir, and I'm used to the shadow of the giant Victory Hamstah. Just imagine being co-leader of an SG with him! *shudder* ; )

To clarify: Hamster's the first leader of Isolators, and I am the second. Leadership was originally based on post count, you see. Really!

Now, there's another three-day weekend for some folks coming up Feb 21; is that too far in advance? And, does an event like this need some sort of story framework?

    Gaah!!

I got bad news for you, Xanatos. I'm the one that dragged roleplaying into Isolators, and I'm running the Roleplay Day every Sunday on Victory. Hamster's just the leader of the Isolators, and posts ten times as much as everybody else ; )

I'll publicize on Victory forums, and even spam in-game some on that side. But, can we please give it a couple of weeks warning? I'm trying to run my first live event this weekend, and next weekend I'll be out of town.

Either way, I really like the idea of having some sort of big community event on Test Server that roleplayers from all the servers could attend. How cool will that be??

    [/ QUOTE ]

I'd like to see it be a whole weekend or so, to accomodate the Euros and folks who don't get off work till 3AM and whatnot. With a couple of weeks' warning so folks' own stories don't get plowed too much? Hey, another thought - should it be a regular thing, like the first weekend of every month or some such?

Would we be cheesing too much if we ran with the Portal Corps idea and just operated under the suggestion that the Test Server reality is where we all happened to cross paths?

Or should we assume that all the servers represent the same reality and for whatever reason...Stateswoman and the Ascendant and all the rest just simply never manage to cross paths?

    [/ QUOTE ]

Well, FWIW, I have a couple of characters that exist on both Victory and Virtue. One is what I've heard called a "planeswalker"; he can move back and forth between the alternate realities of Victory and Virtue, and probably others if he tried. The other character was moved from one server to the other by his direct intervention. I've met a few other roleplayers who use more or less the same "planeswalker" device. My character does remember events that happen on one side, and he'll tell them to the folks on the other side. His circle of friends includes Victory and Virtue characters who know of each other, though they can't meet. Shortly, this may lead to a cross-server story. *grin*

Now, my dual-server character also is the one that explores Test when something interesting happens over there, such as the pre-Halloween event. He has learned to use the word "dreamtime" to refer to the Test world, where strange things happen (such as the sun coming up instantly ; )

There's a way to do that, honored sir... the Test server. As I said on Virtue forums recently, I'd gladly run a sewer trial on test with y'all, just so that my Victory main can meet all my friends on Virtue. Some things are more important than xp. ; )
  10. I don't claim to have any hardcore "natural" characters - but I know one who's a good friend of mine. He's lev42 last I looked, greatly slowed because he can't play at all while in college, only during breaks.
