OR!
You could do a CoH Ironman triathlon!
Start with a timed TF, then move into a scavenger hunt, and finish up with a costume contest! Take your Billion, give 1/4 to the overall winner based on points, then 1/4 to the winner of each individual event! -
Quote:While I understand what SD is saying - in today's economy, 1 Bill/8 isn't really a lot of money - I think any contest that gives at least 100 mill to a winning participant is worth doing. In other words, I think there's nothing wrong at all with 1 billion for the winning team.Hmm maybe I can scrounge up more than a billion.. what do you think is an enticing amount for a team? (if I do a team event - it it ends up solo there will be plenty of inf for runners-up)

But, yes, I see what SD means. -
Thanks guys! That went so much faster than I expected.

1. Dusk Devil
2. Dusk Devil
3. red stereo
4. Exercitus

9. Spooky X
10. Pandali
Grats guys and thanks to everyone who came out!
Oh.. and special thanks to Major T for co-hosting! -
Most excellent.
Which brings me to....
THIS IS TODAY!!!!! -
Sooner's Billion Influence Hide and Seek!
Starts at 2 pm CST (4 pm Atlantic, 3 pm Eastern, 1 pm Mountain, Noon Pacific)
During the event, @Major T and @Sooner will be offering directions on Jello Shooters and Protector Vigilance. They will announce which hidden character is up, and will provide clues if it's taking too long to find the hidden character.
How to win:
Some characters will be hidden better than others, but none will be impossible to find.
If you find the hidden character, drop an inspiration onto that character. This creates an entry in the combat log. If there is any question who found the character first, the time stamp on the combat log will determine the winner. The inspirations will be returned.
The first person to find each hidden character will win 100 million inf, with a total prize of 1 billion inf.
The zones (not in order):
- Grandville
- First Ward
- Atlas Park
- Peregrine Island
- Imperial City
- Skyway
- Rikti War Zone
- Cimerora
- Mercy Island
- St. Martial
- Sooner Spirit - Vigilante
- Ici Cold - Hero
- Phantasii -Vigilante
- Green Faery - Vigilante
- Quinlan - Hero
- Whiskey Tango - Rogue
- Little Bird - Vigilante
- Neely - Vigilante
- Ebony Rose - Rogue
- Hellfire Kiss - Villain
Do not spend a lot of time looking for clues in these images, I'm not that devious!

Well.. the new incarnate stuff is pretty awesome. Go to Ouro and talk to Mender Ramiel to unlock your alpha slot (do an arc for him). Unless you've got a ton of time (and money) to invest, you might not want to even try doing the newer, tougher trials (MoM, TPN, Underground), but you could probably do ok in Lambda and BAF.

The promised "More Details:"
On Friday, I will post a list of the characters who will be hidden as well as the list of zones where they will be. If I have time, I'll include a screenshot of each character so you'll know exactly what to look for!
During the event, @Major T and @Sooner Too will be offering directions on Jello Shooters and Protector Vigilance. They will announce which hidden character is up, and will provide clues if it's taking too long to find the hidden character.
How to win:
Some characters will be hidden better than others, but none will be impossible to find.
- A suggestion: if you can't fly, get a jet pack.
If you find the hidden character, drop an inspiration onto that character. This creates an entry in the combat log. If there is any question who found the character first, the time stamp on the combat log will determine the winner. The inspirations will be returned.
The first person to find each character will win 100 million inf, with a total prize of 1 billion inf.
If you have questions about how this will work, post them here or contact me (@Sooner) in game. -

Quote:AAAAAAAaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhh!!!!!!Define "reasonable."
I only ask because it seems to be a fluid thing:
Why the random costume button is the one thing in this game I hope future science never invents
*pantpantpant* Ok.. that would NOT be reasonable for any human being to wear in any context. But... outside of the fabric patterns... you could come close to that for a male toon - Kilt, jacket... et al.
But, since you asked - when I'm using the word reasonable - I'm referring mostly to this being a teen rated game. There absolutely are occasions when men wear corsets and fishnet stockings and high heels. And few of those occasions have any place at all in a teen rated game.
So, for me, in this context reasonable = appropriate for this game's rating.
EDIT: I see several people already beat me to the point that you could come very close to making that outfit now. -
Quote:I agree. Anything that COULD be reasonably used by both should be available to both. When I step back from the situations....
No I really don't. I just want it to work both ways. I just want to see the characters I like to play continue to get an equal amount of costume options, and for things that can be ported from female to male to be done so. I don't want to see anymore gender only costume packs, I don't care if it is female only, or male only.
Until the release of the Carnie pack I never had an issue with the costume development in this game. If something can be shared within the "T" rating of this game, then it should be shared.
With that, there is a lot of stuff that can go female to male and not break the game rating. It bothers me that I have no confidence that that will happen though. -
I really don't understand why anyone would complain about this...
...but...
Question for the complainers:
Do you really want pieces that female characters could reasonably used restricted to male characters only for no other reason than to give male characters options that females don't have? I mean...
I think any piece that could be worn reasonably by males should be available to males and any piece that could be worn reasonably by females should be available to females.
In other words, that baron jacket is going to look great on a female character, but the bare chest option is clearly not appropriate. However, the bustier is not appropriate in a teen rated game for male.
So, yes, there are some female pieces that should be available to males - the clock belt, for instance.
I think the current plan the devs are working on for costumes is dead on.
And I just can't even wrap my brain around why you'd restrict a piece to one sex or the other for no other reason than to restrict it. -
Thank you so very much!

I don't have any villain lowbies at the moment, but if I can help in any way, I certainly will.
