Well, this is true, I couldn't tell if the slot I deleted a char from was a bought or a vet slot, I mean, I do have 3 pages of toons on Virtue and this slot is in the middle of the second page. Either way, I'm not feeling all warm and fuzzy right now.

All I know is that I deleted one of my toons on Virtue last night to make a Praetorian, and the slot has been unavailable since. So my early access for having preordered months ago is nil, and now we're well into launch day and I still can't make a new toon on my home server. Awful, awful design to tie slots we paid for into a service that is separate from the game and, as we have seen, can be down while the game is up. I bought these slots over a year ago, and actually _had_ a character in it, it wasn't one I needed to redeem, it was an existing toon I deleted and now cannot access the slot.

I absolutely agree.. I just deleted an alt to make a praetorian, and amazingly, I have an unavailable slot in the middle of my other toons on Virtue. Horrible design.

Has anyone actually gotten Naylor's Shadow Shard arc lately? I hit 35 2 days ago, got Naylor as a contact and ran his missions.. I got the Automatic Villany arc, several standalone mishes including the badge mish, but now at 36, he's got no missions for me. Was the Mole Point Bravo arc removed or something? I ask because my wife had the same thing happen when she was trying to get the Rularuu unlock from him... got all his mishes except that arc.

Wanted to get some opinions on this build... something I was just playing with in Mids, definately centered around the PBAoEs. Basic thought was run in with the +stealth SS on, fire up Snowstorm,Hotfeet and Blazing Aura which should do bad things to mob's movement, drop a burn patch, then fire off FSC, Combustion, Neutron Bomb and Irradiate. The capped S/L is of course to try and avoid being pounded into paste while trying to get the powers off.
As this is just an idea I had for a build, I'm not strongly tied to any of the powers or sets if there are better options, don't even have a rad/fire in game yet.
Any thoughts?

I would be interested seeing how you'd put a build together, I'm not tied to my build that closely, I just started my Fire/Dark and was just messing around with Mids.

Hey there, thanks, some slotting in there I definately hadn't thought of... I'm no expert on sets. I did manage to improve it a good deal from when I first posted, but it still wasn't great.
This is what I had come up with, not quite ranged cap, but once any dark power hit, the -To hit would have kicked it up.

I assume you meant without purple sets, since you said it was easy to achieve, so I can only assume I'm missing some sets in non-blast powers that carry good ranged defense bonuses.45% is easy to acheive and you don't have to dip into the fighting pool for it and you don't have to make any big sacrifices.
So 45% is my recommendation. I've played a blaster, kin, fire/cold and ice/dark all with softcapped ranged defense 45-47% and the difference is tremendous. The only purple insps I have on me are those that happen to drop. Otherwise I carry oranges and greens.

That would be either the char creator, which will grey out shield and stone if you pick claws, or the I16 patch notes under brutes.

You cannot take stone with claws, unfortunately, just like shield, it's not an option. Personally I went WP with claws, been soloing normal story arcs set as 2 villians equal level, and have gone from 1-20 in 2 days, which is a record for me.
I'm sure other people have done better with various sets, but I'm happy with WP so far.
