I guess the problem with that would be that it's the hardcore pvp:ers are the ones who know for a fact they're going to want to participate. Most of the people I know will probably think it through and make the announcement of participation on the 20th or something. And at that point might be sure whether they want to pvp at 40 or 50.

The IO's would have to be lvl 43 or below, unless they are purples that work at any lvl... or uniques slotted in a power available at 40.

No it may not lock out any sets, but many people specced for lvl 50 play will need to re-build themselves if they want max bonuses.

I agree it seems a little steep, but respecs are a special thing. As has already been said, players who don't feel like forking out for one still have multiple ways of getting a respec in game with little or no effort. If people want to burn through the ones they have and throw money at the company, then hey... That's fine by me

In fact through an easily workable exploit you may as well say NC will sell you inf at a rate of £1/mill!!

Ok, for starters you can't even get a LOTG +recharge from a respec trial, if I remember correctly. You may get a recipe worth 5k while someone who paid nothing gets a respec... Who's the bunny then, huh?

Well said. I might have made a similar post myself, had I not been so lazy...

I can't see myself using the service, I'm too tight with the respecs I have. However more options is nice!

What about if it was on test? Then there is an opportunity for even casual pvpers to purple up and respec into a more refined build purely for the comp... All they would need a is a little time and effort. Ask around for someone with the goodies you need to transfer their character and strip it.

It's just an idea... don't shoot meh.
