Just started playing corruptors agains after reading this discussion and remade 3 times before I finally settled on and a ice/ice corruptor for PvP and must admit I have sneaked past shields and taken other powers instead
That said I think corruptor possibly is the hardest AT to choose powers for since, it can both work as blaster/buffers/healers and debuffers and there isnt room for them all. That said I wish that those that team a lot would put in their team seeking description what type of corruptor they where. -

I am not saying you are wrong with this and even though I a times tend to be rather blunt in what I am saying I never tell anyone in my team that their choice of powers suck.
That said if you are in a team and someone give you a good advice wouldnt you be happy for it ?, at least I would and if I knew better/thought I knew better I could get a good conversation out of it.
And the choice of powers really do matter on how hard/easy a mission end up being and I have yet to meet that many pick up teams that stayed together after getting beaten repeatily in fights against enemies they otherwise had less difficulty with.
Anyway better not to take a power if you never use it anyway, than taking the power and not using it. And better a player that know how to play in a team and can explain his choice of powers and how he uses them than one who have build his character after other people advice but dont understand it.
And hell yearh I think my ideas are better than others and so do almost everyone who think they know what they are talking about

I was reading all the post but the only ones I managed to remember was the one about darkest night.
Please take it, for Cthulhu's sake take that awesome power ohh and be prepared for an agonising and painful demise when they all the enemies turn on you because you used it too early
Also pick fearsome gaze, it is the sets second godmode power course not only do it have a terrific fear effect it also posses a nice acc debuff.
And about the healer syndrome, have also met a lot of corruptors with the blaster syndrome that only take powers from their primary. -
Have always felt empathy where a bit overrated and have always been more to the dark miasma/kinetics side, which luckily CoV also have.
That said I was in a team yesterday with my brute fighting +2 and +3 mobs together with a team consisting of two other brutes, two dominators and a corruptor with warmth, which was a scary if interresting experience, and I learned a really important lesson about charging and brutes without buffs.
Warmth is not the best heal power but in lack of anything better it still felt like a god blessed life saver.
Anyway after many hardships and deaths we did finish the mission, with the use of some pulling, some sleeps, some tactics, and a lot of health in red and lots of running.
Lesson: Hard fight without heals/buff/bebuffs using tactics is a must. -
Havnt played AR but I would at the very least put some accuracy enhancements in the attacks.
Some tohit buffs in your tactics and I think one endurance reduction is enough, max two.
One endurance reduction in maneuvers.
Maybe some recharge in your heal powers and less endurance reductions.
You do not need recharge in fireshield from what I remember.
3 heal in health seem a little much for one with a self heal power, I would go with only one. -
And then combine brawl with boxing from the fighting pool and rage will really go up fast and still almost no end cost.

Mastermind with Dark or Forcefields secondary or a Corruptor.

Well today I ran into a problem with my masterminds dark power Darknest night. I was in a team fighting enemies somewhat stronger than what I would normally challenge (they where +3
) and was faceplanting a lot more than normal, mostly because the villains choose me as targets when I activated the power.
We had a brute that was able to get a great deal of the agro but sometimes the whole enemy group would turn on me instead.
So I would like to hear if anyone out there have some advice on this, or should I just keep the hell away from +3 enemies.
And I am not asking about lackeying there was no one in team high enough level to lackey me.
Almost forgot, what I am asking is other masterminds experience with fightning groups of strong enemies, and CoV ATs experience with anchor powers (Mostly masterminds and corruptors). -
Yup zombies are plain stupid. Worst case scenario is fighting on a platform or attacking flying targets, then all of my minions have trouble.

I am DM/DA/DM that is a whole lot of attacks.... well at least 4+2 support powers

Having just tried out my build I must admit that it suffers on the endurance side as soon as I start to use my many attacks. Not a problem in a team where I can get speed boost, adrenalin boost, RA or AM, but if I am soloing I either have to take a lot of breaks or slot my attacks with endurance reducers.

Having just respected my dark/dark defender Odin I have to say I am very satisfied with the result
This is my build and it works like a charm, a little better in team than solo, and my use of endurance if perfect since I have just enough for a big battle.

I will be mainly playing CoV(at least until I have a lvl 40 toon) after I get my copy on monday, but I will still be a hero just not as often..
I will also have a lot of works on my hands with each and everyone of my heroes now that they all need to be respected.
