  1. Stone Melee:

    Hurl boulder: Stone melee is all about the manipulation of the earth element, then why must the range power look more like a super strength power. Have the animation be more like the propel animation where the chunk gets ripped out of the ground because you will it not because you have such great strength or as an alternative stomp the ground with your foot and have a bounder shoot up then punch it towards the enemy for those people that like that sort of thing or in keeping with the hammer theme throw a hammer at the enemies.

    Tremor: Give me an alternative to jumping, my character is not the jumping type please don’t make him. Do you want him to go into therapy? I didn’t think so.


    Various sets:

    Blazing aura: Why only a pulsing ring. Alternate suggestions: A couple of small fireballs that orbit the character and not just around the feet. Make truly an aura maybe one that makes a heat distortion (rippling air) effect emanate outward from you a certain distance.


    Fire Melee:

    Fire breath: I like this power on some toons not on all, make an alternative where you blast the cone out of your hands or maybe make it a sweeping kick that shoots forth a fiery arc.


    Super reflexes:

    Practiced Brawler: Why does this need the pull the arm back animation? Make it so that it does no animation at all.


    Gravity Control:

    All holds and immobilisations in the set: Make them visible! Most of the time you can barely see who is and who isn’t held/immobilised.


    Plant control:

    Fly Trap: PLEASE, make a better looking pet. It’s horrible, its so bad that its keeping me from playing the set.


    Spines:

    Barb Swipe: The only thing I can say about the current animation: No, just no.


    Ice Armor:

    All the shields: Make them look less martini on the rocks and more frosty sheen or some light effects like hoarfrost.


    Electric Blast:

    All blasting powers in the set: It looks like all the electricity is being funnelled trough a beam of some sort. Electricity needs to arc and swirl around itself loosely following a direct path.


    Widow Training:

    Poison Dart and Dart burst: Make my widow not look like she has to take a dump every time this power activates. Thank you.


    Well that the list off the stuff i would most like changed, altough more options are always good for any power these irk me the most.

  3. I don't know how to respond to this issue, I like the fact that our SG will now be able to upgrade (a lot) as I’m getting 7 ish million back from the plot alone, not to mention the drop in monthly payments.
    Still why do away with base salvage? The only reason I can think of is that the Dev's saw that base salvage was just piling up to a point that people didn't even bother that much with it anymore and would just sell it to a shop.
    I'm not against using invention salvage I just would implement it in another way, I would not specify any salvage, I would keep the components etc. and let people convert any salvage into them.
    That way cheap salvage would get a little boost but it would not make the market run rampant as people would stop buying salvage that would get to expensive and go for something else, still I would have rather kept the base salvage and get more items to craft with them to deplete the stockpile.

    I was planning on remodeling our basses layouts anyway and with these price changes I’d be a fool not to rebuild from scratch but again I’m rather disappointed in the fact that there is no new base building tool(s) to make things easier.
    All the more as the issue for a while carried the name "All your bases" but I digress.

    The bug that is currently on test letting objects intersect is something I've been waiting for since the start of bases and I hope it will remain to some degree after the patch, I can understand that moving stuff out of the rooms into the void is bad but moving things halfway into a wall or other objects sure looks cool.

    As for Paving for PvP purposes’, Making all things destructible during raids is something I've been saying all along, granted not on these forums but please take my word for it.
    The only thing I would like to add to this line of thinking is that all (decorative) items should be repaired after the raid (other items I’m not too sure on but maybe those as well).

    To conclude I don't hate the changes to the bases, but they could have not changed anything and overall mood both here and on the other side of the pond would be much higher.
    Most people are fearful using invention salvage to build anything as they fear no one will donate anything to the SG as that would not benefit them too much.
    I’m lucky enough to not have to worry about that as we aren’t that big an SG and my SG buddies and by now good friends will gladly part with any salvage if needed, not that I would ask them as looking at those items needed , it isn’t too hard to get those by playing to the game or simply buy them on the market, I am the one doing the base building so I would never ask them to do so as I’m the one having fun with it all, they just like to see what I come up with.
    I really shouldn't but I still carry some hope that I14 (delusional I know) will bring with it the much needed and anticipated base interface upgrades as well as more base stuff in general.

    Well thank you so far for the responses and support my Fire/Stone melee tank is currently at lvl 11 but playing about on the mids and developing different builds i actually only just realised how tight this build actually is... i was wondering what attacks i should pick up and what should come first tough or acrobatics? As a tanker orientated for team play i obviously want the strongest defences that the fire set has to offer but i must stress that i will be picking up fault and tremor as soon as they become available as that was the forefront of the idea behind this character... And also as the squishyest of the tanker sets when will i feel like i will be able to actually... well... Tank??

    Squishy?!!!!! HOW DARE YOU!!!
    My main is anything but squishy, he can tank an 8 man team like the best of them.
    AND IF I EVER HEAR YOU CALL A FIRE TANK SQUISHY…, then you need some help.
    As a fire/stone you can hold a large amount of damage and survive.
    Your only real enemy in pve are slowers.
    As for what powers you want to take that depends on a few things, is your build pvp, pve or a mix.
    Some powers are mandatory some are optional some are [censored], what travel you want is another factor.
    The jumping pool is favourite but by no means your only option.
    As for powers not to take:
    - temperature protection – why bother there really is no need unless you real want the most cold resistance you can get, but in my experience not needed, now if it had some slow resistance I would take it in a heartbeat but as it is right now, no thanks.
    - Hurl boulder (or something to that extend) – slow as (bleep), does about as much damage as stone mallet and is imo not worth the powerslot.

    - Stone fist: love it, its fast does good damage and stuns once every blue moon.
    - Both hammers: adore them, your main attacks and although they are only smashing you will love their damage output.
    Seismic Smash: have its babies, a mag 4 hold with extreme damage, seeing bosses swivel and stumble about while you pound the living daylights out of them and while you keep knocking them over with your mallets gives a great feeling of raw power.

    Healing flames makes the set shine so what ever you take, take that power, but I’m guessing you would not skip the heal.

    Be warned the set drains end a lot.

    PS: Yes I have burn, yes I still love it, yes you can keep the mob around you in the patch but you have to time it right.

    Take it at 32, I did and hardly died after that.

    Allthough that might be to the fact I finaly learned about propper slotting at that time :P

    It's a nice power and people who want it out of the set I will never understand, Move it to not be a tier 9 sure but remove it NEVAR!!!

    Never give a second thought about debt, you will have more fun and level faster as you wont be restrained to take on the chalange, then take that secondary and shove it up the npc's backside!!

    GO GO FIRETANKS!!!

    I'm happy with the change, maybe -999 is what on the low side, maybe not.

    The change didn't come as a suprise to me as reading the dev posts seem to imply this kind of change, my ss/will brute is happy with this change anyway.

    What I want to know is will punchvoke still work if a power deals no damage, and of course the proc question above??
  7. Yeah read about this a wile back, so glad they finally decided to share the method for doing this.
    Have already tried it on multiple items and being able to stack stuff that is non-stackable makes a huge difference when you are trying to make your base look separate from all others.

    Also the vet rewards look good on top of the arcane engraved/altar stone about the same size as a desk.

    Also you can now make complete wall sections with two stacked file cabinets (the blue one you base builders know what I mean), not to mentions the whole two floors per room thing.
  8. Have 4 kb IO's on slate and except for a few things like the pylons in RWZ and some AV's I'm alright.
    When i still had 3 nemmi bosses would knock me down, hehe they still can if I face more than one and they stack their blasts.
    Knowing me I'd slot the 5th one as well if I could find the slots.

    It counts the each kill.
    When you kill 1 person 4 times it counts it 4 times regardless of time.
    When you are teamed with an sg mate the count is 8 (2x4)
    This is what I have found when testing it.

    So in a 8 man team all in sg mode the 750 should take 94 kills.

    This is why we stopped for the time being and are getting the pres together before we unlock the badge. 13 bloody million *sigh*

    Base Upkeep

    I feel I need to ad this although you may already know.
    DON'T pay upkeep right away every time it asks you to!!!!
    I would set the permission to a level where not too many people can pay it.

    The reason for this is that it will ask you to pay the upkeep two weeks after you paid, your base will however run fine for 6 weeks (I think, It's been a wile since I last counted) the permission thing is there to not have your lower ranked members pay the upkeep every time it asks them too, they will go pay the base upkeep thinking they are doing good and keeping the base active for the SG/VG, when in fact they are flushing the hard earned prestige down to hydra territory.
