I am curious whether it's intentional that the protect atlas bank mission map is using an instance of the full atlas park zone map instead of a sliced out section of it.
If so, could the field hospital be reinstated so that if you die, you have time to catch the bank robbers, instead of rushing to get across the map to the robber's destination point and thus failing the mission? -
one thing that might be related is the vertical sync: enabled setting. When I turn this off, it keeps my game display from freezing up. Im using an ATI Radeon HD 5700 card.

Let's say that you're hiking and you stumble across someone who's dangling over a cliff. You try to help pull the guy up, but you lose your grip and he falls to his death. Should you do jail time for that?

The precident to this is already set, I cant remember which state it was but if your walk way is snowed up, you can either not shovel it and be free of any liabilities for resultant accidents, or you can act, shovel the walk way clear, and thus set up yourself up to be sued by anyone that uses that walk way and injures themselves. -
there's another close to the hero base. one the map, where the street heads west into the base? off to the side of that street there's one, not sure of any others

hmmm, part of the turrets weakness in uncontrolled mode is that they cycle though opponents, I dont suppose any testing was done on how effective a controlled turret with minimal outside support was against a team?
btw I also noted in one instance, that after a turret got taken and then pounded to dust by signiture characters, the other side never bothered coming over to claim the free pillbox -
hmmm as for one shotting the guy at the turret controls, why not give the turrets the same effect to their controller that a masterminds pets in guardian mode give to said mastermind, so long as he doesnt use an attack himself?

Stone brutes... "Why won't anybody play with me?"
[/ QUOTE ]
ROFL
ran into a stone tanker and got on his nerves. He tp foe'd me into melee range. I sat there for about a minute or so letting him wail on me. I got bored, so I started healing myself and chaining heal/transferal/fulcrum shift/siphon/siphon speed. He got bored after a while, finally ended when another hero saw the comedy routine going on, and gave the tanker a much needed hand in killing me. The most annoying part of all of this? at no time did I manage to leave him out of energy from transferal, and not sure if my siphon speeds where even making a dent in his recharge rates. -

I don't know if this has been mentioned but the 1 hp hospital trip just slows things down. Its a real annoyance. Can't we have full health or at least half?

/not signed, that delay that annoys you, makes the zone one where tactics matter, past waiting for a regrouping. Right now, you kill someone, and he wont be back for at least a minute or two, allowing you to do something. remove that delay, and local area wins become unlikely. -
Also the water in the pools are in the atlas park sector is missing, you can hear it pouring, but you cant see it, and it doesnt affect your movement sound

found two oddites, one of which is definately a bug. One, the team search function doesn't treat each instance of RV as seperate, and with the way the instances fill up, this makes team formation a pain. Two, the stuff a grav warden throws at you remains for a few seconds afterwords and can be shoved around. after the last shove it goes flying off on the horizon, yet others who werent around to see the object form, cant see it

not only av's but the turrets. The reason I wanted no debt? so casuals dont get discouraged and go back exclusively to pve. As is, if this were on live, even if I were a dedicated pvper which I am not, pver mostly, either I'd the debt cap quickly thanks to the potence of the turrets, bosses everywhere, and the signiture toons, or I'd be spending most of my time malefactoring away the debt.
-
Probably been suggested before but several things I'd like to see in RV,
one signiture heroes/villains that cant one shot tanks/brutes
two make them about the same power level as ten toons, more than one team can handle, but less than two teams can handle
three, keep them from bunching up, making themselves unstoppable by anything less than 50 to 100
four remove debt from the zone, As is thanks to the turrets, where this live, I'd give serious thought to avoiding RV altogether
five, institute companies, basically a team of up to eight team leaders, one of which would be the commander, complete with a company channel that only team leaders can speak on, but all in the company can hear, the commander would see the other seven teams, numbers with a /slash afterwords to show number on team still in range of the leader and alive, average health, average energy, and team leader locations.
Six, as option, see the health and energy of all toons on one's side within a small radius. -
Not sure if this is a bug or intended, but the base portal in Grandeville has no easily found route up to it for those without fly, hover, superjump or teleport.
Ran around the place looking for an elevator or ramp and couldnt find one, just cables that are tricky to navigate or steel webs going to adjacent building ledges that also had no elevator I could find. -
As for the newspaper missions in grandville? I'd suggest increasing the potential missions to five, and allow more groups into it, even if they need to have level caps removed, such as banished pantheon, legacy chain, the croatan witches, Tsoo, and so forth. This coming as my would be thuggee necromancer doesnt mind sending the CoT back into the wheel constantly, but a little variety would be nice

Almost forgot one...
The description of Lord Recluse refers to him as the "Archvillain of Anarchy". Lord Recluse, by the novel, finds technocracy and fascism to be inspiring philosophical ideals. He's as much an anarchist as he is a pacifist.
[/ QUOTE ]
Not even Fascism really. He is very much a proponent of the power of the individual over the faceless masses. If I recall, the basis of fascism was to promote the rights and power of the group over that of the individual. Instead he promotes a form of anarchy that is tailor suited to compete with other forms of society. The political machine he has set up is tailor suited to give people a choice, strive to rise as far as you can and live, or become part of the faceless masses to be used by the strong, not to maximize the power of society by subjecting the masses into the most efficient groups possible.
On the surface it seems like fascism as both work to shove down people down below something greater, but in this case, the greater are individuals who fought against the system rather than accepting it -
that does bring up one weird idea, what if a held opponent had a significant -regen while being held?

you forgot spetznats who are hunting for krylov(sp?) both in the second krylov story arc, and once overheard by one of my characters who was in the wasteland side of mercy at the time.
I have seen banished pantheon minions harassing longbow over at their nerva island base, likely related to the portal mission arc in primera
