I'm going to be the one that has to say it, but I didn't really think that this was all that great.
No disrespect to the creator, it's just my opinion. -
I pose a question.
If you're a VIP player and you complete a Signature Story Arc, then go Premium, will you be able to do that arc again through Ouroboros or will you have to buy it/resubscribe again to access it. -
I love these guys. From the chest cannon to the over the shoulder electrical zap.
As for Archvillains, I would have to say Barracuda. More characters like this please. -
I can't speak for others, but mine updated without my knowing through a Windows Update.
Ever since then though, I have been getting that outdated message and the game has been running like crap for me when I do anything that doesn't involve just me soloing. -
I tried that as well, and it's still saying that my last update was in 2009 and my CoH still says that I'm outdated.
Is there some kind of bullcrap error with my video card or something, because this is just getting EXTREMELY stupid. -
I tried cleaning the drivers like you suggested and running the CCleaner, then reupdating with the 11.6 update earlier in this topic, but it's still saying that my last update was in 2009 and CoH is still saying that my drivers are outdated, although trying to update through the Device Manager still tells me that I'm up to date.

Forgive the double post, but can no one else help?
Edit 1: Really guys? No one. =\ -
I am posting on behalf of my friend, who recently upgraded a trial account with the Going Rogue Collectors Edition. After adding a form of payment, he received an e-mail telling him that his account would be cancelled after his current month from the Collectors Edition runs out, however it is not telling him that his account has been locked and he cannot access it in any way on the website, although he can still access the game just fine.
Any solutions would be greatly appreciated.

Quote:If you mean this; Are you selecting and downloading the "Notebook Graphics"/mobility drivers? The normal desktop drivers may not install properly on your laptop.

Then yes, that's what I currently have installed. However, it's still telling me that my last driver update was in 2009 and CoH still tells me that I'm out of date.
Edit 2:
Picture of graphical issues.
It's getting to the point to where I'm almost afraid to play the game now. I'm getting tears and discolorations like this more and more now.
Can someone PLEASE help? ;_;
Edit 3: HOW DOES THIS MAKE ANY SENSE!?
Picture of driver update and CoH message. -
Quote:Not only did this not work, but it has completely murdered my computer. I can't increase my resolution past 1024 x768 anymore, everything lags when I scroll down a page, and the game runs even worse now.Have you tried uninstalling the previous drivers first?
Texas Justice has a post detailing the best way to uninstall drivers and re-install. It is right here. (Ignore the link for the drivers to download, as that was for another person.)
Help!
Update: I managed to restore my previous settings, but now I'm back at square 1 with the 2009 update. I'm starting to think that this isn't possible to update. =\ -
-sigh-
This is not making any sense. I tried the 11.5 version and it says that I am already up to date, so I have no idea what's going on here.
Edit: Ok, so I managed to get it installed (11.5) and the game still says I'm out of date. I even played the game for about 10 minutes before I got a new error that my drivers had completely failed and the game crashed.
Edit 2: I ran my dxdiag again and it's still saying that my most recent update is the one from 2009. What the heck is going on here, seriously. -
I've updated twice now, both with the most recent updates that I can manage to get a link to. Every time I do it, it gets even worse.
If you could provide me with a link to the exact updates I need I would greatly appreciate it, as I'm clearly not updating the correct one.
Update: I checked and I can't seem to find any driver updates for Windows 7 past the 2009 one that I have, but there's one for Windows Vista that is from 2011. What do I do? -
I used the normal dxdiag, so that's likely what happened. Here's the one from the helper if it makes a difference.

It's possible.
Did you get my email with my dxdiag though? I'd really like some help on this issue.
As a small update to it, it also seems that I'm getting some pretty bad graphics tearing even with everything turned down to the absolute lowest. I was just in the RWZ, and the Mothership looked like it was made of windows from nearby buildings. I'm thinking that by updating my drivers, I somehow screwed something up. -
Yeah, the boards give me some odd message saying that there's too many odd characters in my post or some nonsense.
E-mailing you the dxdiag now. -
I recently reinstalled the game again after the last free weekend and I've been getting some pretty crazy lag. I've tried turning everything all the way down, lowering the resolution, and turning the sound off but nothing seems to matter. I am also getting a message now on the login screen saying that my drivers aren't up to date, even though I have fully updated them twice.
It's not letting me post my dxdiag for some reason, so what could I offer up to help get this issue solved? -
Am I to understand that if he subscribers and inputs his CD Key, he will NOT be charged for anything as long as he cancels his subscription before the next payment comes around?
Also, is there no way to add a payment option to your NCSoft account without actually buying anything? -
That's where you're confusing me a little on this matter. He has the Collectors Edition and the CD-Key it provides, but from what I understand he needs to have some sort of credit/debit card to input in order to use the Collectors Edition along with the free month that it gives.
Sorry, but this is just confusing to me. (I'm speaking on his behalf btw.) -
What happens if they don't have a way to give billing information? I mean, he already bought the Collectors Edition which did not specify that you needed to have a previous account to play. (At least not that I saw.)
Does that mean that he successfully wasted his money on something that he cannot use? -
So wait, are you telling me that the game is forcing him to buy another month just to upgrade his account with the Going Rogue Collectors Edition?
-
Just got a new computer and was installing CoH, though about halfway through the download I had to restart my computer for some updates, but after restarting and trying to continue patching, it gets stuck after "Checksumming" twice and simply shows the following.
http://i46.tinypic.com/2d9v79c.jpg
I also tried disabling my Firewall, and still nothing. Can someone help me? :x -
Ah, alright. That will have to be something for another time then.
The reason I ask is because I got a little more money, so I actually have 230 bucks to spend now. Is there perhaps anything else you would suggest? -
Quote:Quick question. The AMD Athlon II X2 240 chip with MSI GF615M-P33 AM3 motherboard and 2GB Crucial DDR3 1066 RAM. That would get you a dual-core processor with ram just as good as high-speed DDR2, decent integrated sound, parts that are certified to work together, component standards that will still be available in the market for a few years, and that will all fit with the original Presario case. Total price tag: $160 (plus shipping for the motherboard and ram).
If I purchase that Dual Core chip, will I need that motherboard that you posted or more than the 2.2gb's of RAM that I currently have, or can I just install it on my current motherboard and switch over later when I get the money to afford them? -
Just as a quick reference, this is what I normally see when I play CoH.
http://i49.tinypic.com/25zqurk.jpg I know, it makes my eyes bleed too T_T
This is with character settings on Very High, but World on Low. I can turn it up a little higher, but if I do, it starts to lag pretty badly, even when I solo.
So you be the judge on how big a change this new card will hopefully make. I already know the maximum potentially that CoH can get to right now on at least an Nvidia 8800, as my friend has one and I would like to compare if anyone could maybe get me a rough screenshot of how if would look with this card I plan on purchasing.
