Quote:Think what you want. It doesn't make your claims any less delusional. GL/HF.lol now that is hilarious. What help does your team need compared to Rick's. Your own team was complaining about our lack of d6 players. You and Dex probably have the strongest d8 rosters - you knew going into it the reason he changed his global and that peril had agreed to place him and why. Rather than be a good sport and support some competitve pvp you decided to be a ****** bag and pick him up. Using that "most of my team has played with him" line..well...if by most you mean 2 or 3 then yeah most, and if you knew your history as much as like to think you do you would know he really didn't leave on the best of terms.
and yeah I know who all of them are - and let's be honest picking that one would just have screwed you. Picking Fates screws Rick's team in the short run, forces them into a trade and creates a crap storm of drama.
I remember you saying once everyone over on Rick's team thinks your a ******, that was not true before. It is now.
Killer is a good dude and just wanted to pvp. All he wanted was to do it with us, but since that didn't happen and I doubt you would really trade him...GLHF... -
Quote:Out of spite? It had nothing to do with the fact that near everyone on my team has played with him before, or that he could help out our team... oh, wait.Did you find it equally funny that the same thing was happening with other players in the draft yet you failed to spread that hilarity around? Funny how you did that with the one Rick's team wanted only and ended up picking him out of spite.
You mention similar cases in the draft. If you're actually aware of who they are then you can certainly conclude that if spite was my goal I would have picked one of them instead. -
Quote:No way. I told them because I thought it was hilarious. So I am curious, since you knew ahead of time about fifa - and you claim at least one captain on each team except for Kat's knew - did you tell the other captains in the good faith, thinking it was the right thing to do?
Other teams had their sights set on other people. The notion that they would suddenly toss out any interests in their original picks to take Fates, who they hardly know, is ridiculous. -
Quote:At least one captain on every team other than Kat's was aware.Hmm so I guess every other captain BUT Slax and Kat (and probably Divine...) No idea if Dex knew or not but at least half of the people picking didn't know including Slax, the guy picking right before U2BG...funny how that works out.
That all of course is completely irrelevant, however. The "situation" we are in now still exists. -
Quote:That's not how I figured it out. And yes, every team other than Kat's was well aware. Believe it or not, I could care less.If you were never on somone's Global then you can't drop
I assume you mean os's forums and he never posted that.
So your telling me he figured out @-Fifa was @-Fates because they both had the letter F in it? He needs his own show on CBS!
I don't hate anyone Hot, but you can't paint a turd gold and sell it for cash. -
Quote:First off, rules not being bent to accommodate your own team isn't evidence of bias. From what I can tell there is actually some bias. Fates came back to play with the people he was friends with - he changed his global to avoid any drama around being "fates." Keenon missed signing up and was not around for a few weeks to get on d8. He wanted to play with Rick's team as well and both of these things were discussed with Peril by Rick (including telling Peril that -fifa was fates). He was told it would not be a problem, Keenon was told it would not be a problem, Rick same thing. Keenon and Fates have been practicing with Ricks team, getting pls and in the case of fates getting a toon ioed out for league play. I like both people but If I am captain I am really not going to turn over 3 billion in ios to get a toon ready to play for someone else's team or discuss team ideas.
Day of the second draft Peril announces U2BG is good on D6 players and does need any more and but suddenly placing people was turned to a draft and Rick's team is last to pick (odd that one of the teams with the least amount of d6 players get last pick?) and suddenly U2BG picks up Fates. Peril the PVPEC member has passed that information along to Silit the team captain. U2BG had third pick...pretty sure if the two before that team knew they probably would have picked him up.
I am sure people will think "well your just mad you didn't get fates," and you would miss the point. Fates really only signed up becuaes he was told he could play with Rick's team. If someone was going to not honor that and make it all a draft then he should have told all the captains who fates was. Instead he chose to tell his team only, information that was given to him as a organizer of the event.
Second, U2BG picked 4th, not third - and your team picked 5th, not last.
Third, I didn't hear about Fates from Peril. He was surprised that I knew at all. As for selectivity, every other captain save for Kat knew that Fates was in the draft. Atop that, even if Peril was the one who told me it wouldn't matter. True identities of draft picks aren't classified information by any stretch.
Fourth, accusations that drafting order was a conspiracy are flimsy at best.
Fifth, regarding claims that Peril received the information only because he was an event organizer: You yourself know that to be false. Your team was upset with Rick for disclosing the information at all, long before the draft took place.
Sixth, it was well known that the allocation of late signups would most likely be in draft format. When team leaders couldn't agree on a way to determine a fair order, random numbers were assigned.
I'm not going to hold a player on my team against his will. I will discuss trading Fates if he wants to be traded. In the meantime, be constructive. Instead of legitimate efforts to get a trade in the works, contact between leaders has been in the forms of malicious trash talk mixed with flaunting of accomplishments that bear no significance. These have been followed by rushed attempts at forcing a trade by means such as bribery (Yes, Lol. I've been offered influence for the trade), and attempting to guilt trip me into thinking I'm a jailer.
Accusations of foul play and conspiracy are laughable. Forum wars are even more useless. After I talk with Fates I'll talk with you guys. -
Quote:I've seen little if any actual bias so far, and no rules have been edited without votes from captains. However, controversy often stems from rumor rather than fact, and rumor is clearly aplenty. For the purposes of credible and visible integrity, Avid is absolutely right.Well then, to be fair. People running the league or making the rules shouldn't be participating in it. That causes biases to form. I mean really, just listening to some of this drama and I can already tell that some people are favoring certain teams because of their own bias then randomly making (or editing) the rules to fit their own objective. I dunno but something sounds wrong here.
PS. I just reactivated my account. Can I join?
This of course is why I talked to the other team leaders about proposing a rule that would disallow PvPEC reps who are on teams from acting as PvPEC reps. Every leader I talked to was in full support of this measure.
The main practical issue that would arise is in lineup submission. We will need to secure the help of PvPEC reps who are not affiliated with teams to assist in the lineup submission process. -
The 'everyone must play' rule is obviously pretty lame. I don't know that there is anything that can be done about it, unfortunately.
Psoma pretty much hit the nail on the head. A d6 member who cares, works hard at getting better, and shows up consistently is given the same credit as someone who goes AWOL and then shows up to a match ready for action and is detrimental to the efforts of everyone else on the team.
It's good to give everyone an opportunity to play. Frankly, however, someone shouldn't expect to play if they blow off their team. -
Yeah, we've had problems getting people to show as well. It's been like that for almost every team from what I understand.
-
Don't be unreasonable just because we banned you from our guildportal and don't take you seriously because you wear diapers on your head.
I mean, you have every right to be frustrated, but you shouldn't let your frustrations cloud your judgement, young warrior. -
I never updated the rules concerning d6 match size because I was never instructed to.
I assumed that it was well known that d6 matches were to be 8v8s, as it was said about 100 times and everyone has been running 8v8s for d6 practices. Strange that this "misunderstanding" should be brought up hours before a match was to take place.
Regardless:
Since the rules currently say 6v6, this fight week's d6 matches will be run in a 6v6 format.
At the meeting to discuss the replacement draft we will also discuss officially making d6 matches 8v8s.
I for one am completely for 8v8s, as 8v8s allow more depth, allow more people to play, and would be a better example of arena PvP for d6 players to learn from. -
Yeah. Get told, Vert. You are terrible on blaster because you lock 5 times faster than any other team's blasters.
-
Rules updated: Any number of Division 6 members can participate in Division 8 matches.
-
BoBC didn't get DQ'd. They played all three matches.

Practices all week at times TBA from 8PM-12AM Est.

Quote:The margin of skill has decreased exponentially since i13 was implemented - for a myriad of reasons. i12 was nowhere near perfect - there were imbalances - but the dynamics made sense. The "i12" system made sense. The current system's dynamic is as senseless as the imbalances themselves. That's a topic that's been discussed at least 200 times now, though. It still is. If they are that much better. The problem is that the margin of skill difference isn't that extreme in most cases. Pre-i13 when 2 people could roll the zone it was more because certain power sets and game mechanics were so broken that a skilled player could use them to become almost unkillable. A mediocre player could also use them to be almost unkillable.
Now some of those nails that were sticking out have been hammered down and what we're seeing now is a truer reflection of the actual skill differences. -
