Debt used to be a good reason to exemp down and team with lower level PuGs.

    Nail->Head.

Debt has become nought more than a minor inconvenience - which is fine with me, as in my mind that's all it ever should be. I remember the old days too, when once a group wiped a few times everyone got annoyed and started having a go, it just generated tension.

Now debt is just not a concern - I actually solo and I dont mind if I get slaughtered a few times by a pink EB or AV because I know within 20 minutes I'll be debt-free again anyway.

BUT the lack of incentive to exemplar is a bigger concern really. IMO they should do something tied in with the IO/Salvage system to make exemplaring worthwhile again - increase droprates on rare salvage or something?

Anyway, they probably just felt like giving Blasters a break.
  3. My $0.02? Farm, don't farm; PVP, don't PVP; team, don't team. Play it however you choose to while adhering to the EULA. This ones a no-brainer.

To those who dismiss solo play as "not the point" - well, you're wrong, being able to "pick up and play" solo has always been part of the core design vision of CoX. It's there as an OPTION for people who CHOOSE to play that way. There are merits and pitfalls for solo vs group play, but honestly that's another thread's work.

For the record I've spent long long periods in CoX over the years both exclusively in teams and exclusively solo; they're different experiences which can appeal to different people.

Lately I'm 100% solo - not by choice - but I find it plenty enjoyable and good fun casual play.

Chrismas is a religious holiday. How about a general "Happy holiday" for us atheists?

    [/ QUOTE ]

    Happy Banana-day!!

(For the record, not all atheists particularly give a monkies about whether or not you call it Christmas. I certainly don't. Call it magic bean day if you want.)
  10. I'll be back home later today so drop a tell to Arleth if you need a defender for SP or Citadel

Yeah, a team of 5 or more clciking presents will spawn him.
I'd also recommend you try it in Atlas, as there'll be plenty of other Heroes around to lend a hand if you find he's too tough.
We spawned 11 in Atlas in about an hour on the first evening it was available, and that gave players of all levels the chance to get the badge - we had 50s and 2s fighting it on the same team
(Just make sure you announce it over Broadcast, so no one can accuse you of trying to get other's killed by spawning a GM )

    [/ QUOTE ]

    !!

This is almost an actual post GG, changing your ways for Christmas?
  12. I can come heal if (A) I remember (B) I'm sober.

    Toon is Arleth, @Silence.
