Still haven't gotten it on Ave so I'm game, I believe you need a team of 5 people at least in order for him to have a chance to spawn from presents. There may also be a limitation on which zones you can spawn him in too, due to the level range of areas.
Yeah, a team of 5 or more clciking presents will spawn him.
I'd also recommend you try it in Atlas, as there'll be plenty of other Heroes around to lend a hand if you find he's too tough.
We spawned 11 in Atlas in about an hour on the first evening it was available, and that gave players of all levels the chance to get the badge - we had 50s and 2s fighting it on the same team 
(Just make sure you announce it over Broadcast, so no one can accuse you of trying to get other's killed by spawning a GM 
)

Good to know, would've assumed otherwise that AP wouldn't spawn them. Possibly got one more interested, they're West coast US though so it's dependant on them dragging their backside out of bed at a respectable time of day instead of late afternoon.

Very smooth going with this so far, I stuck around for six spawns personally and kept people updated over broad but am bowing out for a breather. Robbie's been a very bad boy this year, so far pretty much every present he has opened has been an instant GM spawn, so he's taken on the official position and is now heading up the main team.
Lot's of people coming along for it of all levels and each spawn had several new faces appear, quite a nice little event we've had going over all. I believe the group is still going as of the time I'm posting so if someone catches this at the last minute feel free to head in and join them. 
We kept it going for another five of them, but we've disbanded now.
For the record, six of those popped out of presents I opened (plus one more which we didn't defeat because we had two out at once and it had despawned by the time we got back to it.) I'm not sure what I did to be considered so naughty.
Yeah, that's why we did it in Atlas - it makes it a real community event if you can get all levels involved for some GM mayehm

I'm still missing the Frozen Fury badge from defeating the Winter Lord GM on my scrapper Fulla. So I wanted to hear if anyone else also is missing it or have time to help me get it?
