I swapped up computers to a new system, changed over to super graphics ultra mode... and now I can't take screenies in game.

    Any ideas?

    Other than get FRAPS?
  2. I don't think anyone does ship raids anymore. If I see anyone doing them I'll tell them they are crazy.

  5. At least ONE PoM'r remembers me! Hi Star Fire! Even if Dinah has forgotten the Might Marioness!

    And I actually predate Cobalt

I still call him newbie, too.

How's everyone been lately? I got a new job, lost it, wrote a book, went to college, and found long lost family.
  6. I've always been of the opinion that no one should be allowed to play a brute unless they can strip down to their shorts, go into their bathroom, splash water on themselves, light a candle, turn out the lights and by the illumination of flame and fire embody the spirit of fury and scream at the top of their lungs "BRUTE SMASH!!!!". If you can't look good doing this, if you can't at least SOUND good doing this then you are missing the all important "rage" factor that every "good" brute has.

Stalker's were originally going to be the Hamburglar (my first and only 50 Stalker) because, let's face it, he's creepy all right

Was planning an "Offender" but just haven't gotten around to it.

No, one one can lock the door on me to Champion, hell, no one even moved into my old house, so I'll just put back up my grumpy old man "Stay off the grass" sign and sit outdoors with my shotgun, same as always

  11. Still Rivals Sadly, the word bubbles are missing, but Desire is in the Abandoned Sewers after psionically draining a hacker and hacking CoX to allow her to pursue her rival into the Abandoned Sewer TF ONLY to find it's not as cute and cuddley down there as she thought.

  12. Inky blackness and color and sound and noise and warmth, the warmth was amazing, the glow of feeling and ecstasy throughout Her body that focused in Her most sensitive regions brought a young woman to tears of painful ecstasy. She could tell neither time, nor space, only Her body's incredible glow and rapture but about Her face She felt a cold, malicious cold feeling. But the lights, the color, the sound, the darkness, the spinning heady mix of sex and high, the feeling of floating and flying, tumbling into arms and other bodies who all danced and cavorted in this merry orgie of night life brought passionate feelings coursing through Her body. She could tell neither who She was, nor where She was, only that She was, and it was good. She heard the crash of metal, cymbols exploding out a cacophony of noise to live to and She spun about like a staggering stripper amidst a sea of bodies, all colored red, everything seemed red, different shades of red.

She began to realize some of the cries She heard were of pain, or of effort, not of joy, but surrounding those cries, nearly totally drounding them out were cheers and chants and laughter. She raised Her own voice to add to the cheers of drunken fervor and violence and She pushed Her way through a mass of bodies encircling two Harelquin, beating the hell out of each other. She laughed as one straddled the other and begin to hit her in the face in time with some unspoken beat, the one on the ground fighting back for real, but in time with this strange beat around them, as the beating became more and more one sided. The one beneath stopped struggling and instead bounced with the blows and She felt a rush of energetic anger at the one beneath.

"Dance! Dance with the music! DANCE!" She screamed at bottom one, the one on top took the tossed brown hair of the bottom and began to slam her head into the sandy beach in time with the music, chanting and laughing in thrilling victory to the dance macabre.

If she wouldn't dance, then make her dance! If she still wont dance, kill her! The crowd raised one voice of bloody orgy and the one beneath was dragged away by several attendants and other harelquins, the one in the middle was given a hero's shout as the crowd rushed to her and the winner vanished, consumed by the human riptide. The young woman's body was on fire now, every nerve ending felt like lightning coursed through Her and She found herself in the middle of the circle with another Harlequin facing Her. Yes, yes! Dance to the music! Together Dance forever! If you don't dance, you shouldn't live! Life without the Dance was bad!

Even as the chanting in Her subconscious rolled through Her head the other Harlequin drunkenly tackled Her to the sand. She felt a sharp pain in Her head and the malice and hate was real now, that surounded Her head, the other young woman's hate adding to it and She grew indignant despite the agony that seemed to touch only part of her subconscious mind. This new Harlequin was making Her hurt and not dance, this was bad! She shoved at her attacker, finally punching Her soundly in the breast but getting little effect, the Harlequin instead reared back with two hands together and slammed an ax handle blow down into Her face. The second blow was worse, and She felt herself sinking, physically and emotionally, and deathly. The joy was being sapped by the thought that She wasn't being allowed to dance and She felt a wave of gray despair wash over Her and the thought that pain followed it bothered Her, too. She tried to grab at the Harelquin's plastic face but the girl continued her dance, thrashing about to throw Her hands off and brought down another axe handle blow. This time She felt terribly unhappy, She knew she couldn't dance and it made her cry inside. She couldn't dance, but She wanted to dance, so why didn't She get to dance?

A fourth blow crushed Her beneath it completely and She went limp, the one on top victor again. It seemed unfair to Her that it was always the one on top who got to dance. The one on top reached down and choked Her, crushing Her throat with burning and fiery hands. Yes, yes, Dance, don't stop dancing with me! As long as you dance with me I'm alive! She gurgled to the chanted rhythm, willing herself to dance with the Harelquin-on-top even as the world grew dark around Her and She felt a rush of pain as the fade to black completed.

It was the pain that She first felt alive to. The pain in Her upper part. Yes, that's where it hurt Her, in the upper part. She was immobile, of course, unmoving because to lay still was good. She was aware that there was noise in the distance, but it seemed impossibly far away to care for. Instead, She found Her curiousity called upon to become aware of a pink light or feeling she had in her upper part. She felt something strange, like something gently and lightly but ever unceasingly pulling on Her. She wasn't hot like She seemed to remember She was supposed to be, but She couldn't remember why. She felt a sudden chill swarm over Her body and envelope Her past Her skin. This cold was bad, and She didn't like it, She liked the pink light. A thing in Her upperpart, it was on Her face, yes, that was where the cold was coming from. She touched something that was not Her face. It wouldn't come off and She tugged. It still wouldn't come off and She grew angrier. It wasn't good to keep Her from the pink thing. She felt another strength, not Her arms, and decided to use that. The cold, hard thing broke free and She felt the cold drop muchly. It wasn't right, it felt very wrong to Her, the pink thing felt wrong now, it should feel good, She should feel warm but the cold was still with Her. Not as much as before, but She still felt cold. Still, She felt other lights, faint, very faint near Her. Yes, She would take warmth from them. She reached out to the warmth with Her upper parts that reached and Her lower parts that reached but not as good as Her upper parts that reached to draw within the lights She could feel. The lights went inside Her and She was alone but for the Pink Light. Still, She felt better and She came to realize there was light above Her, many lights up above Her. She laid very still while the warmth made Her feel better but soon the warmth began to leave and while She felt much better, she wanted the warmth of the Pink Light.

She found that she could move and so She rolled over and like a baby found Her knees. She stayed like that for a time, trying to remember how to make Herself near the Pink Light when she felt several strong bright lights approach. She thought this was bad but She didn't know why. She decided it was because they were not the Pink Light and so She took their warmth when they came close. She wanted only the Pink Light, it danced like a match stick flame to Her, it wanted Her and She wanted it, She craved it now. With more lights warming Her She managed to find Her feet and Her eyes saw more light, but not the kind like She could take inside Her. Not like the lights She had seen above Her, either. The Pink Light in Her mind was somewhere beyond the outer edges of these not-good lights. Her head swam and She fell into the first place again and stayed there until She knew the word "Fell". Yes, She had Fell. She looked up and was smarter, and She realized that the Pink Light was a person. Her mind's eye knew it was a person and she was a person. She was... not looking for a pink light, she was looking for the person that was the pink light in her mind that was her SISTER.

"Des." the one word Mantra brought her mind back to reality.

Where was she? She stared long at the lights of some sort of place, where was it? Where was Des? Where was she? In the darkness she watched an Orange Harlequin being dragged through the sand by a foot, bleeding from a wound in her chest, just under the ribs, and she was being dragged by another Harlequin. She watched them vanish into the dark back the way she had come from, then she watched the Blue/Green Harlequin come back alone. When the blue green one passed she looked down at herself and saw that she wore the same kind of outfit, but she touched her face and found no mask. Yellow and Green. She realized she was at a carnival. She had battled with another Harelquin... to join them. Initiation. Or Die, and the thought enraged her. Des... it had been Des. It had been DES! Des had been the one to kill her! They had made Des KILL HER!

The Blue Green harlequin never saw what killed her and with a blood lust she ripped the coroner Quin's head around so hard that she tore the head off. She hurled the head from her, splattering her with Her first victim's blood and she howled at the evil Carnival she saw before her, but they paid no heed to her threat. Seeing them cavort unconcerned she threw her head from side to side, looking around herself in the blood lust of a rage at their unholy mass and she spied the fencing sword of the dead Harlequin. She snatched it up, knowing she knew how to use it, knowing that even as her arms had snapped the young woman's neck, her mind had ripped the victim's psyche to pieces and ate it, feeding off of her knowledge and skills. She could kill. She could kill until she found Des and then she could kill more.

So obcessed and enthralled by their own blasphemous rites that the masses knew not that they were set upon by the ressurected dead. She slaughtered well into the teens before people began to realize they were being killed. Screams did no good as she cut people down, stabbing one through the eye and kicking the dead body off the end of her sword. Come to dance and make Des kill me! I'll kill you and take Des back! Des's pink light was just ahead, she cut the tent cloth asunder with a sucession of strokes and stormed inside a hellstorm of mental energy. The victorian dresses, Illusionists, she knew from the dead fencer's mind, and they had Des. Des's Harlequin turned to her with unbelieving feeling washing out of her pink light, and she knew Des was bewhildered at the sight of her. The Victorians didn't attack her either, even as she slaughtered two of their younger number the others seemed to turn to ghosts, her sword passed harmlessly through the rest. They didn't do anything but laugh merrily at the chaos she had created, and chide Des's Harlequin for not killing her. Her rage exploded and her bloodlust caused her to hurl the weapon at the Des Harlequin, the blade piercing her shoulder and the Harlequin fell to the ground with a scream. Kill! Kill! Only one, only one! Chaos makes it all more fun!

Des' Harlequinn clutched at the sword, slicing her hand and she wrenched the blade out with a jerk of telekinetic wrath. Des was helpless and she psychically [censored] slapped her sister's demon Harlequin, at the same time as she backhanded her in the physical plane. Bloodlust! Bloodlust! Bloody Lust! You can have what you desire, only Kill kill kill her!

Des still wasn't fighting back, she felt the mask as a barrier between her sister's pink light and herself and this time she knew what to do. She grabbed her sister by the hair and kissed the mask's black lips violently, flooding it and Des with more energy than she ever had thought possible. The Victorians didn't laugh as their pet's mask exploded and the Harlequin mask Des wore burst apart. Lust, lust for her sister, my sister! MINE! MINE!!!! She slammed her lips into Des' lips, the flesh and blood that contained her pink light, not the mask anymore and blasted Des once more, this time with a paralyzing, mind crushing blow that throttled the Harlequin Des, burying her in the same blackness that she had been buried in only minutes ago.

MINE! She howled up at the sky, screaming it to the world, to the Victorians, to the sky. She is MINE AND NO ONE ELSES! HER BODY AND SOUL ARE MINE! The Victorian's grew angry but she didn't care, she threw them backwards with a blast of telekinetic rage and she carried her sister away. Even now the tents were in flames, she knew somewhere inside her insanity that the heroes of Paragon had come. She also knew she would not give Des to them. They would try to take the Carnival away, to take Des away and she would hide with Des, they couldn't have her.

Some distance away in the darkness she fell to her knees with Des, feeling the pink light of her sister, still weak, and she kissed her again, not hitting her this time, but holding her, keeping the pink light close. She breathed into Des and gave of herself to the pink light. She felt the Pink light shudder and she realized the flickering in it wasn't entirely weakness, it was blackness. Des' pink light was marbled with blackness. She didn't mind though, her fierce blood lust sprang up on her and she bit Des on the lip and kissed her violently, forcing her own precious energy into her sister. She would make Des alive! It was many kisses later that Des' Pink Light flickered consciously and she was in awe of the phoenix-like aura that enraptured her mind as Des awoke from the death of the Harlequin. She felt her entire body spring up with glee and joy as her sister awoken and their minds touched intimately in ways no human could understand. Her sister knew, and she knew that her sister knew that she knew that she was her sister or was she her sister and as the phoenix aura faded to the living pink light of both fraternal twins, they looked into each other's eyes with complete understanding.

    "We're together."

"They tried to take you from me."

    "You killed them."

    "You're beautiful..."

The blonde found herself giggling uncontrollably. "You're so gorgeous! How could anyone not love you, Des?"

The image of the phoenix still burning in her sister's mind, Des knelt in the sand with a limp arm, and she touched her blonde sister's cheek. The blonde was still laughing when suddenly she was slapped and knocked into the sand. "You little [censored]! Don't you ever hit me again!"

The blonde blinked at the stars in her head, her concussion made all the worse from the beating Des had handed out earlier and she cried out, clearly upset. "Ow! Damnit Des, I was trying to save you!"

Des screamed in pain and clutched at her shoulder wound. "You [censored] [censored] you stabbed me! I'll kill you for that!"

The Blonde roared and tackled the raven mained vixen, pinning her to the beach and causing her to cry out in agony as her stab wound was pressured. "Get this straight you [censored] maniac, you killed me FIRST! Now we're EVEN!"

She slammed another kiss into Des's lips, starting violently, then she released Des' shoulder and instead held her gently, their mind fields mixing and she helped block the pain from her wounded sister, Des responding in kind. It was a long kiss that left them both breathless and staring at each other in awe and wonderment. Whatever they were now, they were not going home, that was obvious.

"Damn you... what the hell do you think you're doing?" Des muttered, though her own body and mind were also now so new, and foreign.

The blonde was at first stunned herself but as she begin to grip her own new personality she begin to chuckle, and then laugh. "What can I say, Des? You're HOT! I've never seen you looking sexier than you do right now in that whores' clothes."

Des glared then looked indignantly away, but she couldn't hide her own pleasure at the thought of being gorgeous. "Like you have room to talk Linds, you should tuck yourself in, you're flaunting that chest of yours all over the beach, Horn dog."

"I'm not horny... I'm Lusty." the blonde said coyly, her mind sensing that she liked this word.

Des had already agreed with her mentally, like a reflex. "and I'm... Desire... yours."

Lust nodded with a worshipful smile. "Yes, Desire... an Eternal Desire."

Desire made a face, and was clearly against the name. "That's stupid. Eternal Desire sounds like some quivering Aphrodite stuck with a cloud up her [censored]!"

Lust frowned angriliy. "I like it!"

Suddenly a thought from a third mind touched them both, a mind they both recognized immiediatly, even though it was different. At their one time home a third girl stood over the dead bodies of their parents with a murderous grin on her face. All three minds thought at once it was good, that they were together, that the twin's parents were dead, and the name the red haired cousin had chosen to remember chasing their screaming mother through the house, to finally corner and slay her was good, too. Their red haired cousin had been asleep, exhausted from travelling to join Lucinda in awaiting the news of Desdemona's health. And asleep when the Masks and the violence and the carnage had ripped across all three fragile young women's psyches. And awakened to the violent urges that the twins had felt. And to pursue her first victims through the mansion until she had finally killed them.

    "Relentless Pursuit."

    ***

The Frosted Kiss found the note and read it. "Come Alone" and an invitation to a Carnival of Shadows event in St. Martial. What significance it had was lost to her, she only knew that the Relentless Twins got in girl fights with any Carnie that dared to cross their pathes. They hated Carnies. When Frosted confirmed Desire had flown over St. Martial, she rushed to the Sisterhood's Teleporter and teleported to St. Martial. Set for the casino she had recently danced in she cussed and flagged down a cab with a wad of bills. Being that this was the Rogue Isles, cabbies who were braver didn't mind picking up people who were obvious super villains.

    "Where to, lady?"

    "North! The Carnival fairgrounds!"

With traffic in one of the busiest spots in all of the Rogue Islands, Frosted knew she would still be the last one to arrive. She watched Ecstasy blaze over head and she hit her communicator. "Ex! I'm in a cab right below you! What's going on?!"

"I dont know, I lost sight of her but she was heading inland."

"She's heading to the carnival fairgrounds! I think someone is calling her out!"

    "I'm on it!"

Frosted cursed the day she didn't get any flight powers like nearly half of the other members of the Sisterhood seemed to have. She did arrive a few minutes later though, and she saw the big tents getting torn apart, with buildings shattering and fire raining down. The place was a warzone. She suddenly heard a scream she recognized, though, and it sounded horrible. It was followed moments later by a scream of .. Oh god, Desire, that WAS DESIRE! And it sounded like someone was ripping her soul out!

Running from the taxi she found Ex kneeling over Desire. The leader of the Rogue Islands Sorority house had a sword run through her shoulder. Ex's normally angry and hateful face wore instead, a look of total astonishment, shock, and horror while Desire's eyes stared off into the distance. Squinting through the wisps of smoke Frosted made out a blonde woman flying away.

Desire's mind was broken, her body critically wounded, but the pain she was in was emotional as she stared at what had to be the retreating figure of her sister. "Lust... Lust... Gone... don't... don't... leave me...."

The Frosted Kiss and Burning Ecstasy pullled the fencer's sword from their Senior Sorority Sister and carried her away as fast as they could, Arachnos shocktroops arriving on the scene.
  13. Lucinda looked wide eyed at the red head and her mouth dropped open. "Y-You're telepathic!"

Sister Psyche sat down on the bed and nodded, speaking outloud now. "Yes. I understand you're parents didn't know you were, Lucinda."

Lucinda's face crashed in on itself and her heart spasmed. "Desdemona and I hid it. We didn't want them to think of us as freaks."

Sister Psyche reached out and put a comforting arm around Lindsy's shoulders. "It's okay, I think we have a good lead on your sister."

Lindsy sobbed at the very thought of her sister. "Bu-But she's dead! I can't feel her anymore! She must be dead!"

"It's possible that she's just out of range. There are many things in Paragon City, and many ways to hide someone, even from telepathy. We also have an idea that you're sister, wherever she is, went willingly."

    "Sh-She did?" Lindsy gagged.

"Lucinda, did you and your sister know any other Meta-humans?"

The blonde shook her head secretivly. "No, we didn't tell anyone about our powers, we kept them secret."

Sister Psyche pushed on a little further. "Could Desdemona have gone to meet someone she knew? Could they be with her right now?"

Lindsy screeched and sobbed, burying her face in her hands. "No! They don't know where Dessie is! No One Knows! She's GONE!"

Seeing that this tactic wasn't gaining ground, Sister Psyche gave Lindsy a squeeze. "It's going to be all right, there are many places to hide in Paragon City, even from telepathy. We have several leads to go on, I'm sure we'll find Desdemona before long."

Lindsy continued to sob, her grief unsoothed by the heroine's words. Sister Psyche gave her another hug then got up and left the room. Lindsy stayed in the hospital for several more hours of observation due to her head wound, during which time the man who had attacked her died. The police were leaving it as self defense and suspended further investigation until the girl recovered from the shell shock. Hoping that time in peaceful and quiet and familiar settings would help, the PPD let Lindsy return home to rest, recover, and hopefully snap out of it. Putting her lone daughter up in her bed, propped up by pillows, the girls' mother comforted herself, and her remaining daughter while her husband was downstairs, working with private detectives to find his missing child.

Relentless Desire was paniced with such stark abject horror that she was energized. Her strength terrified the two juniors to no end. Frosted and Ecstasy both begged for information, anything, a command, something that they could do to help the situation that they knew nothing about. Despite their pleas, Relentless Desire threw them aside, screaming nonsense at them, far past coherent words as she threw dresser drawers full of clothes all over the floor. Not one room was safe as Desire ripped apart the room she and Lust shared then her two junior's rooms, then the kitchen, then the living room, then the bookshelves. With a primal shriek, Desire turned on her terrified juniors, grabbing them both by the hair and forcing them to their knees, but she seemed to find it impossible to speak

"Desire! Please! What is it? What's happened? Tell us! We'll help!"

Relentless Desire jerked on their hair and swore at them with a wrath fueled by such a horror that she seemed possessed. "Tell no one! Tell NO ONE ANYTHING! Don't tell ANYONE!"

She released both and slapped them both hard across the face, knocking them to the floor. "Don't you say another word! DON'T YOU SAY ANOTHER WORD!"

"Desire, Desire! What's wrong? We'll do anything, tell us how to help!" Frosted gasped.

Relentless Desire clutched at her breasts, her throat, her cheeks and face, her eyes rolled back in her head and she swayed like a woman in the throws of a fainting spell. Staggering she opened her eyes, the anger gone, only terror remaining. For the first time she seemed to see her fellow Sisterhood sisters and she shook her head, on the verge of screaming.

The raven maned twin touched her mouth with her fingertips, trembling in fright. "Lust! I've got to find her! I've got to go AFTER HER!"

Before they could get anything else from her, Relentless Desire exploded from the house, her Telekinetics blowing shockwaves around her as she flew through the air. For the flightless snow bird Frosted, she was powerless to keep up and she watched in horror as the leader of the Rogue Isles Sorority house vanished into the Cap au Diable night.

"I'm going after her! Hang on, Desire! I'm coming!" Burning Ecstasy bellowed, rocketing from the house like a fiery comet.

"Ex! EX! Tell me where she's going! Call me as soon as you find her! I'll come right away!" Frosted screamed after her rival.

Lindsy didn't wait long for news about her sister... that night she heard a noise, a noise like the jingling of tiny sleigh bells, a tinkling sound that made no earthly sense to her. She didn't rise from bed until the noise faded to silence, and a rock cracked against the bedroom window. Startled, she heard the bells jingle as though someone shook them to gain attention, and as they faded away she realized that whoever it was was running away and taking the bells with them. She rushed to open the window and looked down, spotting something shining in the night lights around the family mansion. She stole quietly outside, running downstairs on tip toe and leaving the side door cracked open so no noise would be made. Once outside Lindsy ran to the spot beneath her second floor window and found a single ticket to a strange new Carnival show with a hand written note:

    "Come alone."

Hailing cabs was getting more expensive by the day around Paragon City, but to an upperclass daughter it was less money than she spent on a single outfit. She was dressed in her pinkest summer dress with knee length hemline, one she hoped would fit in at either this Carnival or wherever she might end up, and her cell phone tucked tightly in her purse. Exiting the cab in Talos Island she found her way down the wooden stairs to the boardwalk below. The boardwalk was filled with provocatively dressed jugglers and clown-like attendants who catered to whims. One woman, her face was hidden behind what appeared to be a plastic mask, Lindsy spotted and shuddered immiediatly. The woman was dressed in a victorian style dress with her dark hair up in buns.

"Hello and welcome! Tonight's show has room for many more souls. Do you need a ticket?"

Lindsy felt odd, like when someone was trying to touch her telepathicly, but not like her sister, not like when Sister Psyche touched her, it was cold, metallic like. She shook her head and thrust the ticket she had found outside her window at the strange woman.

"I-I have a ticket, I-I'm looking for someone."

The woman froze momentarily as she noticed the ticket from behind her mask's red eyes. Her voice was changed when she spoke again, pleased, but still scary and knife-like. "I see, I see. Young lady, what you have is a golden ticket, a once in a lifetime chance for the greatest never ending party of your life."

    "A V.I.P. pass?" Lindsy asked.

"Indeed, a VERY important person pass. Come with me, please, and you'll find everything you could ever want and more."

The woman seemed to float away, she didn't appear to be moving her legs at all beneath the long dress, and Lindsy found it to be even scarier here, amongst so many people, than it was to be attacked in Skyway. Something sinister nipped at her neck in a very surreal way.

"I'm looking for my sister, is she here?" Lindsy asked.

The woman stopped and looked at Lindsy for a long moment before returning to her pace, leading to a large circus tent, her tone honestly ignorant, but also callous. "Perhaps she is, perhaps she is. I wouldn't be surprised at all, my dear, tonight has been a most magical night."

Lindsy noticed a girl in an orange bodice with matching thong and leather orange and yellow thigh high boots by the entrance of the tent. Her black hair was tucked into a jester's hat, and the hat was decorated at each point with tiny golden bells. She felt her stomach tie itself into knots and she gripped tightly at her purse and the cell phone lifeline that may be her only comfort and hope in this weird world.

"Harelquin, Harlequin! Come here and take this one away, she has a golden ticket, see to her needs immiediatly, and prepare her for the show! Tonight is going to be a night she will never forget!"

The Harlequin girl in orange bowed and her boobs nearly popped out of the top of her bodice as she gestured Lindsy inside the tent. Lindsy swallowed and in her mind she remembered fighting with her sister and their cousin and several other catty girls. She felt confident that she could take the obvious sex toy in a fight if she had to, if this was a setup, that is. Stepping closer and closer to the tent she felt her stomach's knots grow, infecting her entire body until, as she set foot on the threshold to the interior her entirety was eaten up with panick and fear and suddenly the tent flap closed shut on the laughing and screaming voices inside the tent, and the orange Harlequin attacked her from behind, a rag clamping over her mouth and in seconds Lindsy lost the fight she thought she would win as the chloroform finished her off.

    Desire's Devil, Lust's B&W Btch, Pursuit's Neuronium

    Look-a-likes

    Twin War

Relentless Desire was not known for her infinite patience. The raven haired dominatrix wasn't hot tempered per se, except when it came to her fraternal twin sister. The slightly taller natural blonde half of the sisters went by the moniker Relentless Lust, and of all things, she was Desire's most natural enemy. The two young women were both gorgeous, sexy, swervy and curvy, and both highly powered psionics... so what made Lust such a threat to her inch shorter sister? As far as Desire was concerned, just exactly that.

Lust was taller, a pure natural blonde with wondefully blue eyes, and in Desire's opinion: too damn pretty. All her pubescent life she had been unnerved by Lust's constant presence, and, no matter where she went, Lust would find her, follow her, and appear as well. Sometimes this made Lust the center of attention and Desire had honestly felt threatened by this throughout growing up. It had really come to a head when the two had been in high school. Lust had no interest in Cheerleading which was perfect, as far as Desire was concerned. The raven maned vixen took up cheerleading immiediatly. She rocketed to the top, shaking her magnificient breasts and butt, winking and side stepping, cartwheeling and flipping. After four games she was considered one of the top cheerleaders and possibly taking over as Captain of the team. Then Lust showed up... Desire's eyes darkened angrily when she recalled that moment. As sister of the new star cheerleader, as the equally if not MORE beautiful blonde haired, blue eyed super honey she was quickly launched to the top of the squad and Desire felt like her star was eclipsed. AGAIN.

That's what had started them down the road to becoming super villains... Desire blinked with the realization. It was that night that had started them fighting, well, there had always been spats and a few good hair pulls but their first real knockdown drag out fistfight had been just a week later. That was the night that she, not Lust, had not returned home...

    "Lindsy, please! You're not helping!"

The blonde girl sat in her school clothes, a mess, her hair twisted and knotted, her left eye blackened, screaming and yelling and crying. Her mother, the girls' mother, was trying to calm her down, but she would have none of it. Lindsy a.k.a. Lust ran upstairs to her sister's room and threw herself onto the bed. Her sister was gone, she had gone missing that very night. She hadn't shown up the next morning, she hadn't shown up at school, she hadn't come home. No one had seen her, none of her friends, and her cellphone GPS had only turned up her purse, abandoned in an alley dumpster in the seedy part of Skyway, about a block away from a club with a not-so-clean reputation. When queried about it, the bartender said he had seen Relentless Desire, or that he had infact seen Desdemona, which was Desire's real name.

"Lindsy, we'll find her. She's just... out cooling off, she'll be back." her father tried to console her.

Lindsy shook her head and sobbed loudly into her sister's pink pillow, her father shutting the door quietly and leaving his second daughter to cry.

"They don't understand, Mom and Dad, they don't know! I can't feel her anymore! She's gone! It's like she doesn't exist anymore! I should still be able to sense her! I can't even communicate with her anymore! I drove her away and now she's GONE!"

Lindsy bawled harder. She was referring to the secret her sister and she shared: a mutant bond. A power had been awoken in the both of them several years ago, telepathic powers, telekinetic powers, the powers of the mind. What's more, it was a bond between them, they had both gotten the powers in the same terrifying way and at the same time, and that catalyst had forged a mental link between the two fraternal twins and their cousin. Though not identical, they shared a bond that even identical twins did not, they were linked telepathicly.

"No matter how far away she's gone I've always been able to still feel her in my mind! If I can't feel her then she's dead! Dead or gone forever!"

Lindsy continued to sob until her eyes closed in a black and soundless sleep. The sleep was unlike any since the days before her mutation, there was nothing, pure blackness, she was totally alone and her sister was gone.

The next morning Lucinda DeMarcos pretended to go to school, but instead, she ducked out and ditched. She had a few ideas she was going to try on her own, Lindsy didn't plan on letting her sister get lost while the police claimed she was just a runaway. Desdemona wouldn't just vanish, not like this! With the thought that something bad had happened, and that she was the only one who might be able to find her sister, Lindsy flagged down a taxi.

"Can you take me to the Jubilee Club in Skyway?" she asked the driver.

"Uh, sure, but they ain't open yet, its too early for clubs here in Paragon. You from out of town?" the driver asked with a helpful smile.

"No. Take me to the Jubilee Club."

    "No problem."

Stepping out of the cab, Lindsy, or Lucinda De Marcos, found herself alone as the cabby pulled away, staring at the closed doors of the club. Somewhere around here her sister Desdemona De Marcos had vanished and someone would probably recognize her. Someone would hopefully be able to point Lindsy in the right direction. With that thought in mind Lindsy approached the front door and peered inside.

"Geez, it's dark... can't see anyone inside either. Of -course- I can't! There's no one at a club at nine am."

"Hey baby, you're cute, why don't you stick around and we can find something to do together?"

The catcalls were something she was used to, but today, it signified hope, perhaps this dead beat had seen her sister? She withdrew a picture of Desdemona and showed it to the man.

"She was looking for something to do a couple of nights ago, recognize her?"

The man's eyes betrayed surprise, but she couldn't discern if it was just her attitude or the picture. His violent reaction sent her sprawling across the concrete and it was her turn to be surprised. Before she could react he had picked her up and physically threw her into the wall of the night club and her head exploded in agony. She didn't even realize the man with her was screaming as well, clutching his skull just as she was. Not at first anyway... but when she realized her own telepathic powers were broadcasting her agony into the man, she put all her sudden wellspring of hate into it and his screams chilled the blood of everyone but her. Lucinda's fires were too far hot to even be dented by the screams.

"Give me back my sister!" she shrieked, jamming herself fully into the brutal attack.

    "Give her back!"

...and the first person to arrive on the scene was a hero, Synapse, to be exact. To the electrically powered hero's credit it didn't take him more than a split millisecond to realize who was the victim, and who was the super powered potential threat. With a gentle but effective jolt, Lindsy dropped limply into his arms and Synapse called for an ambulance, but he was quite certain that the man wasn't going to be going anywhere very quickly. Holding the unconscious girl in his hands Synapse tried to stem the flow of blood from her headwound and he once again cursed his slowness. Even as fast as lightning was, he had still arrived too late to stop this disastrous scene....

Curled up on a hospital bed, her knees drawn up to her, the blonde girl with the bandages on her head rocked back and forth, back and forth, humming a single, monotone note to herself. She made no movements beyond the rocking, and she neither looked nor spoke to anyone. When the nurse came in to try and get her to talk, she didn't even acknowledge her presence.

"Lucinda... you shouldn't feel bad about what happened."

Lucinda?... but while the voice spoke in a familiar psionic way, but it was entirely foreign. It was in her mind, like Des or cousin Sylvia, but, the voice ... was someone else's. Lindsy looked around the room, startled. The door opened and in the doorway stood a woman with red hair cut short wrapped in a sexy strapped green outfit.

"Allow me to introduce myself, Lucinda. My name is Sister Psyche."

Ever since her junior's found her unconscious and revived her, Relentless Desire slammed through the house with violent energy and only a single purpose: To find something. Everything else was thrown aside, including both Frosted Kiss and Burning Ecstasy. They watched in a terrbile, painful silence, rubbing their bruises as Desire rampaged through the house seeking an unknown.

The Frosted Kiss looked at Burning Ecstasy with frightened emotions chasing around her eyes. "Ex... what's going on?"

Burning Ecstasy could only shake her head in mute powerlessness at her senior's rampage.
  15. Due to the possibly inappropriate nature of the artwork(some folks would say) I took it upon myself to carry the burden alone and put it on my Photobucket account.

And yeah, the mighty Drunkfu drew that.
  16. "Where does Longbow GET those wonderful toys?"

I mean, we spend all day long trashing them as villains, and we don't help them too much as heroes, and yet, they have a never ending supply of weapons, buffs, and equipment. You'd think after that many base raids Longbow's prestige counter MIGHT be hitting rock bottom. The answer was, originally, Dev's were cheating. We ALL know they favored blue side, but stooping so low as to give Longbow the SG FREE UNLIMITED prestige is just friggin' dirty. Then... I saw a picture that offered, perhaps, a different perspective...

    (Not necessarily work APPROPRIATE)

The Dev's are not to blame people... We Are:

    The Answer

Deviant Art... a veritable treasure trove of crazy goodness.

My apoligies if someone else posted this, but I had to share as it was funny and I was dared to by an SG mate
  17. Global: @shotty mario
    Gender: Male
Age: 27 or 28, I can't be bothered to remember
    Location: California
    Height: 5' uh... 13. Yeah. 5'13
    SG Affiliation: My own
Most Recognizable Server Toon: Not saying
Factoid: Ding'd a 50 by giving free PL's with my storm defender(yes, you read that correctly) during a rain storm, while listening to "I am the highway". Went to Ireland the next day for two weeks to figure out what I wanted to do with my life, began working towards a career as a writer(and ding'd several more freak 50's).
  18. 1. Eden is EASY once you get the hang of it. It's not a difficult trial in any way, shape, or form.

    2. Can't beat the Giant monsters? As someone said: Shivans. You'd fully double the size of your team with Shivans, going from 8 to 16, and shivans do massive dmg. The fact that people don't have shivans prove they are not taking advantage of their toons. That's a Player fault, not a Dev fault.

    3. Even before Shivans, it was pretty easy to defeat the GM's, EXCEPT for that short period where the Enemy Regen rate was at Wolverine type levels. It took reds, Scrappers, and non Empathy buffs.

    4. If you can't defeat the GM's, dump them in the holes. You're playing a hero game. You realize that not every villain can be outright beaten in EVERY game, right? Some require finesse.

    5. Making it so that Eden handed out a SHO/HO as the trial stands now, would be the quickest way to PO'ing every villain on the block. A competent team can run Eden in an hour and a half with the right leadership and attitude. Personaly, I'm leaning to under an hour and a half if they were all experts, but most folks on Champion that I know wont run Eden so I can't test this.

    6. Despite all that stated above: Eden is one of the reasons I came back to the game. I love this trial. I've run it 3 times in a day, and double digits in a week. This trial is insanely cool, with awesome graphics, terrifying effects, upwards of 4,000 DE(not counting the swarms and lichens) Special 1 hit kill boss attacks, and heroes to rescue. If you have never run it, or only run it once, by all means PLEASE run it! Run it more! Enjoy it, thrill in the moment of the concept behind descent into the bowels of the earth, combatting the Devouring Earth in their own den before the Hamidon can absorb the strength of the elemental heroes and became all-powerful.

The problems with the trial amount to the rareness of the ambrosia WHICH, btw, for being so ABSOLUTLY important is not touched on nearly enough in the instruction or storyline. It shold not take clearing 1 1/2 - 2 bridges to get just enough ambrosia to successfully complete the trial(unless we're talking about increasing the reward). 1 Bridge, 1 full set of ambrosia.

It shouldn't take so long to clear out the final room. Which MAY still attack you if you assault the Titan first, but MAY not(What happened there, Dev's? Does the room aggro or not? My last run through it started to aggro, then just kind of... lost intrest)

The heroes are morons. We've got Flower knight in Outbreak, Jarvis or w/e in Breakout, shivans, generic pets, all these other people who follow you and chase after bad guys, but these four heroes who should be just RAGING against the DE for imprisonment, torture, etc, just sitting idly by, drinking Earl Grey tea and discussing the precipitation from the New York Times. FIX THAT. Copy Paste the AI from Flower Knight to the four worthless lumps and you'd easily speed up the time inside the final room. >>>Copy Paste<<< (Yeah, it's me, the guy from the Comicon)

Fix the level-o-meter so you can properly start the trial with a level 50. This WAS on the Dev to-do list several issues ago, what happened? All the man hours spent on creating this masterpiece are being counted as NOTHING when you could spend what, 8 more hours and copy paste working trial code from any other TF contact as well as the PET IQ code from any other pet? All that and fix the trial? Remember what I said at the Comicon, and what other people have said in this thread alone: Not fixing BASIC fixes like these are slaps in the face to your LOYAL customers. Not counting the FOTM Flash-in-the-pans who show up, PL to 50 and walk out the door.

You did make a valid point at the Comicon when you(Lighthouse) said roughly "We have only so many Dev's". Kudos. But the fixes to this Trial are nothing but copy/paste functions(like turning Tornado graphics into Whirlwind). It's a simple matter of giving one guy a to-do list and the 8 hours it takes to copy-paste, implement, test, and throw in the Test server patch.

The above folks would NOT find it so hard to run Eden(Sewers not my cup of tea) because MORE players would willingly play it if the percieved DIFFICULTY wasn't there in starting it/running it. Make the trial availible to everyone and I gurantee you you'll find that the ludicrous amounts of INF/Prestige given off this trial will have SG's running it weekly if not more.

In summary: Eden isn't OLD. Eden just needs the gate unlocked so everyone can get in. It's not horribly broken, it just needs the doorknob screwed back on. And, imo, oughta give out TRIAL level Recipes, not Generic TF stuff. Villains are not as bad off as my HO/SHO statement implies(Cap trial and LRSF in under 45 minutes). Let the people know you care, let the powerful people into the trial, and those other problems like GM's will disappear like leaves in the wind.

Eden hints: Bring shivans. They are simple to get. Bring Reds(not R-A-ds), bring preferably 2 somethings with -RES(believe or not but storm is ACTUALLY useful again, and in THIS trial. I unretired my storm/elec after 18 months) Use slows on the Walls to prevent mob spawns from stacking up. fire/ice tanks rejoice. Burn all reds on the first wall. Burn all yellows, save only 1 blue per person(at 41, everyone should have their end problems pretty much covered). Save all reds gotten on bridges for mold wall. Finally, when attacking both walls, always stand WAYYY back and send the tanker/scrapper up ALONE. Walls will only spawn 3 mobs then the rest of the team bum rushes the wall IMMIEDIATLY. You'll have about 60 seconds from the time the first spawn appears to the second is summoned. Holds help, -Rechrg(the crey pistol) also help. If you are still having trouble, send me a PM. Cheers!
  19. You forgot some other important comparisons:

in PvP SJ is the one and only.

Flight: requires 2-3 slots for maximum usage.
Can use a HO to alleviate xtra slots while capping travel speed/reducing end cost
No travel trouble in any zone
Has a useful final power in the set

Super Speed: is one of the fastest powers in the game, requries no slotting to be effective
Can use a HO to alleviate xtra slots while capping travel speed/reducing end cost
Some trouble in St. Martial, the OLD Faultline, Terra Volta, and Grandville. Massive trouble in the Shadow Shard.
Has a debatably useful final power in the set

Super Jump: Most cost effective travel power in the game.
low end cost, high speed rate of travel in ALL zones(except Shadow Shard). Few things supress the travel power in PvP making it pretty much mandatory on all "good" builds. Can most definatly be used in missions. Needs NO slotting. Is almost unaffected by -Speed powers in PvP(this needs to be altered entirely).
Has an incredibly useful final power in the set.
Can use a HO to alleviate xtra slots while capping travel speed/reducing end cost

Teleport: REQUIRES 2-4 slots to be truly effective.

Is -not- the fastest travel power in the game due to actual "real life" applications of this power.

Has MASSIVE targeting issues that cause delayed jumps and many times falls for people without Hover(forcing 3 powers to be taken, not just the normal 2) which results in lots of debt.

Can NOT use a HO to alleviate xtra slots while capping travel speed/reducing end cost(btw, the MOST slot intensive and potentially highest power cost;3 for hover, in the game and the HO's don't benefit it... THANKS alot).

Does have trouble with long distance travel(massive end cost and too short hops[for PvE])

Does have trouble with high rise enviroments: Need to expound on this some. Big tall buildings forming a canyon like say, Grandville. Your mission is on the other side. You either have to TP clear up over the top of the buliding, or TP clear around. If you try to TP between with all that webbing and other junk, you have to have hover or play fast fingers because if you get the Red Circle of Doom, down you fall.

While TPing I don't drop to -my- hover speed, even if I have hover activated, I drop to -it's- hover speed.

Final Power is also weak sauce: Requires 2-4 slots AGAIN to make it useful, has an even LOWER range(thanks AGAIN, PvP) with higher end cost. Disconnects people who have poor connection quality. Is POINTLESS 99% of the time when TP + Recall Friend will get the entire team there faster than GTP could ever HOPE to achieve. The power drops people(haven't used it enough since I8 to voice an opinion here other than go-go-slows! Disrupt that GTP window) and thus requires 3 other power choices and an immense end drain + slotting drain to make this a -viable- travel power(GFly 2-3 slots of end redux).

Not all things make this a bad power choice. Ever seen it used to gank people in PvP? It's a wonderful power for abusivly slaughtering people over and over again. GTP yourself(the buffbot) and 7 buffed out the ear Stalkers into the middle of a group, watch 7 AS's go off and GTP away, completely unfollowable. How about 7 Corr's? Go-Go-Gankers! Hopefully people will (ab)use this power so much that it will force the Dev's to alter how it works, making it useful for PvE again. It's not like their hasn't been a thousand and one suggestions on how to improve this power in the 2-3 years CoX has been around.

Yes, I'm a Negative Nancy, but darn it, I got good reason to be. I had a "Genie" type toon who's whole entire deal was she cast travel powers or other oddball buff. She didn't really fight on her own (Kin/Elec Def with magic "sparky ball!" ftw). 6 slotted teleports pre-ED. Using GTP 2 end, 4 range, I could arrive last at a mission with a couple folks who opted to gather for GTP instead of running, skipping, flying to the mission themselves. I would arrive last only by a small margin, depending on a few variables(different zone would totally nerf GTP's usefullness), difficulty of targetting(Talos vrs say, Founders or Eden). With GTP being dropped down by ED and THEN nerf'd AGAIN by the Range enhancement nerf, GTP has taken a deathblow of usefullness. Add to that the sudden added "feature" of an incredibly picky targeting reticle and voila! COMPLETE Lameness.

I GTP now at about 1/3 of the distance for the same end cost and the only discernable reason is... Teleport allowed too many hit and run tactics in PvP. It's not like people were RUSHING to buy Teleport for PvE purposes...

If anything needs a fixing first, it's the TP Targetting reticle. Second, it's a complete stripping of the old GTP and putting in something that is non-abusive for PvP but actually USEFUL for PvE(Do I hear a 15 minute rechrg 85 end cost group in close proximity ZONE Teleport? How about a 500 yrd base travel distance with 1 minute cool down? How about just a wide area recall friend?)

    $0.04... cause I care.
  20. I'm definatly interested in the guide. I'm not a big fan of AT forums since several are just horrors, but I've been looking for the numbers for bubbles, etc and nice to see them here.

The guy who took Ballista-1. WOW.

In my life I have learned something... I am the universe's whipping boy. If there is ANY chance an enemy can hit -ME-, he will. I carry a Shivan in my back pocket because for people like me who have multiple purples + our shields going, those bosses will still hit and kill. If you got the golden ticket or random dice rolls in your favor, awesome. For people like me who can still roll a 1 with a throw of 2D6... we'll dream of it.

To MM's out there who try to reproduce that feat, follow the suggestion of the guy who is a lightning rod for AV/EB fire: Take greens, take a Shivan, and take care.

    Aid Other: Get it.
Aid Other > the two Shield buff powers.
Resuscitate: Get it. I'm personally shocked that as a 50 you can't get Resus in your build. I didn't grab leadership myself, but I did take 2 rifle blasts(no shields buffs), Repair, recall, TP, and GTP. I did all of that and still had Resus at I think either 28 or 35, with GTP at 30.

Playing w/o the bubble buffs, using dispersion only: Do-able, specially with Aid Self. I started back when my Tier 1 pets were the ones dying and Def didn't really matter against +4-5's. Aid Other was my best bet. Now that I have a respec, am 48, and (most importantly) the DEF starts scaling at +4, not immiediatly, I'm bringing shields along which do help(I'm still not sold on them except by word of mouth).

Tough: Tough is not worthless for an MM, not nearly. Tough + Bodyguard and bubbles means you could foreseeably absorb an alpha from a large group with fair odds of survival. Yeah it's alot of slots, but it's 10% off S/L. Like a Freakshow + 2-3 Boss 1 shotting you with a swipe. 2 slotted for Boss fights only would mean you stayed up through a lucky hit(or forgetting to put bots on Bodyguard mode). Don't discount a power that gives you a quick Tier 1 Inspiration whenever you want. The cost to buy this power -IS- kind of high. Weave is an extra 4.5. Take it or leave it, but I literally just got totalled 2x in a row by a Gunslinger who has some kind of ungodly acc with his sleep blasts. I'm grumbling while looking for guides trying to find as much DEF as I can right now and those stupid lucky sleep dart shots are the reason.

Against Malta(and really you should consider warning people of this in your guide) Robot/bubble can have some of the worst battles of their careers. I have had my entire team 2 shotted by AoE EMPnades many times. Drones 1 shotted, Assault Bot drained of end or slapped around like someone's monkey...

Slotting Pro-bots: 2 acc 2 dmg 2 heal. The 2 heals mean they got your back solidly on their heals, and to be honest, how much actual dmg do you get from the extra dmg slot? It normally is a 20-25% boost but it's nerf'd by a level difference. Normally I run relentless and +3 Luits and Bosses don't feel anything short of Assault Bot fire. Depending on my actual enemy, some bosses don't even want to die w/o 4 or more Bots firing on them, that would be Assault Bot + 3 others. It could be argued that my 2 acc/2 dmg approach (tier 1 and tier 2 pets both) is part of that, but against +5's, Drones just don't bring that much pain, and I don't think Probots do that much either(the heals + seeker drones + goofing off, knocked down, etc cuts into DPS).

Also Hover: What's better than waiting 32 levels to keep enemes from closing to melee range on you? Waiting to level 6. Hover keeps ALOT of enemies from Melee range, and I don't play a chessboard game of bot control and Hover really saved my bacon against multiple hard hitting melees(Force bolt can't juggle 3 Wolves)

Slotting end redux: Slotting end redux into the Bots will also cut the cost of their summoning, meaning you have more end availible to summon/bubble. Personally all of my toggles(except Scorpions shield which is 2/2) slot 3 end redux with the exception of Sprint and PFF. My heavy rifle shot is 1 acc 2 dmg 2 end 1 rechrg and allows me some fairly heavy extra burst dmg. The End redux is very nice. With Villain Side SHO's you could lower Bot(any pet really) slotting from 6 to 3 with the exception in Probot's case since you'll want to slot out dizzy/heal/end/def buff. But the great part is, you can stack lots of end reduction in pets this way. The final part of end redux is I have 1 end redux in Drones and just tested it right now. From full end, no toggles on, and 1 slotted end redux it drops me to the middle of the N in menu. Without the end redux it's more like the M/E area. I slot 2 end redux in equip, 1 in upgrade(w/2 rechrgs) and before all my bots are summoned and fully equiped/upgraded I'm out of end. Just wait a few moments or rest and you have your full end up and ready with 3 extra powers at your disposal during missions

I heavily slot end redux for my build. I whole heartedly endorse the stamina-less power of an MM.

That's about all I can say. Again, great guide, good numbers and warn people of the demons that are Malta
