Thanks a bunch. I should have dug up a FAQ apparently, I was looking for a news piece.

So while I've been semi retired for six months or so, paying but not playing. My kids have been playing away on their free accounts. Occasionally I've bought points for them to buy a character set or the like. With the whole thing going away, I figured I'd get my eight year old a couple of the new power sets. Unless I'm completely screwing this up...The site won't let me add points any more.
I guess that makes sense, but if I can't add points to his account, he is going to be disappointed.
So am I doing it wrong, or have they removed the ability to buy points....If so is there any way to obtain them? -
Thank You Aggelakis. That answered even more questions than I asked about.
Much appreciated.
Also, it appears that once I spent money on the account to open up some character slots, we were able to trade without restriciton. Even straight gifts of influence. -
So I'm a returning player, and I signed up last month with a paid account. I was really just getting prepared and back into the game before my children started up with "freedom" accounts. In any case, I went to trade inf to my son's account, but the trade wasn't allowed.
I was able to trade enhancements, but not influence to another player who was using a "premium" free account.
However in looking around I haven't seen any restrictions on trading other than access to the auction house.
Is there anywhere that these restrictions are documented or explained? Or am I just a reNoob that doesn't know how to use the interface? -
Thanks for the response. That is a great change, now I have to see if I have room for the BIG teleport.

Ok so I'm new to the city for the third time now, and I noted that I can select a full fledged travel power at fourth level now. So when did this happen? Also wasn't this a big deal?
Most importantly, did they just remove the prerequisite requirements across the board? I ask because I've got a char where I plan on taking hover at say 8 or ten, then following up with teleport at a later time. I didn't know if jumping to a second pool would require that I grab TP friend first. -
ThankYou Happy. I thought I tried that, but it was stuck "on". Which is what sent me here in the first place. I'll give it another shot.
I'm just getting back to the game after a long time away. I pre-ordered years ago, and just got lured back by a friend.
The Kin electric was one of the chars I lost the name for "Blue Dart" was born again as "Blue-Dart". He was also the reason I quit playing all that time ago. I liked the concept of Kin/Elec, but at that time I struggled to find groups. It was brutal. People would find out I wasn't an empathy defender, and wouldn't play the "cleric" for them, and either wouldn't invite me or worse would kick me when a real healer became available.
I'm grateful that people have come around on that position now, and I hope it was a short lived phase of the game.
In any case, I'll try your suggestion. I've got a long way to go learning my way around now. -
So I've finally gotten my kinetic electric defender up to twentieth level, and while I've long believed that with IR I wouldn't need a travel power. now that I've got IR, I've gotten to dislike it running out and requiring a refresh.
This seems to be quite nit picky, but is there a way to force IR to auto fire when available, and then "toggle" it off?
I've played some with binds, but never set powers to auto. -
Thanks all. I'm digging in, and will develop a feel for this as I get experience with duals and singles.

I read in a post here on these forums, that there is a store in Steel Canyon or in Skyway City that purchases training origin enhancements at a bit of a premium price. Now I can't seem to find the post.
So am I imagining things or does such a place exist? I'm pretty much a noob, but actually played for a few months at the original release.
