No idea what will become of the current model at that point. But both will be supported.

Ahhhh am I going to have to go buy a new 360 so I can be 1337, now?
[/ QUOTE ]
Actually, the three major upgrades being mentioned are a smaller CPU form-die factor (less power-consumption, runs-cooler... etc.), larger Internal HD, and a 1080p HDMI connector. There might be more added in (someone thinks HD-DVD made internal but no proof of this) but if those three things make one a better 1337ist, go for it! -

I don't beleive MUO is going to want to take up more than 1/2 of a users hardrive with updates... so that leaves... what about 8 gigabytes for updating space?
[/ QUOTE ]
360s will have 5 times the HD space later this year with an updated model. -
Bah, they each fail for not having become regulars on 'Hello Kitty Online Adventures.'

[ QUOTE ]
If Cryptic today PM'd me asking if I would beta MUO....
I'd install Vista faster than you said Freedom Phalanx.... 8)
[/ QUOTE ]
"Freedom Pha-----*"
*blinkies*
"Well, that was fast. Sign him up, gang!" -
Ironically, this only goes to further support the idea that full-featured MMOGs CAN be successfully adapted to console systems and controllers.
-
[ QUOTE ]
Er... >.> Maybe it's just me... but uhm... wouldn't it be weird if MUO *wasn't* better than CoH?
[/ QUOTE ]
They could release PONG and call it, "MUO." It will still sell like hotcakes. -
Is that 'someone' still here on these Forums? Hey, if not... you can say that the game isn't gone... but that Player is!
-

Oh, I was on Solclaim for four years off-and-on from '01. Never did pick up AC2.
[/ QUOTE ]
Actually, AC2 *was* a good update to the AC. Graphics, 3D Maps and Player options were way better. And who could forget the AC2 Music Jams where characters would use their drop-loot musical-instruments to jam on a melody-tune... usually around the town's Weapons Forge shop??
It was truly 'modernized in graphics and game engine'... except things started faultering when Turbine dropped the ball and tried to take it back out of Microsoft's hands. And at one point the Live Servers faultered and the Client was horribly wrecked by some bad patching and Players started dropping the game like flies because it literally took months to make things playable again. It is one of the FEW MMOGs to date which actually *shut down* because of bad corporate relationships, dropped back-end support and lack of sufficient subscriptions.
At one point the Dev team tried to salvage the game and keep it running, but the damage was already done. Players lost faith and not enough of them returned even with the release of an Expansion Pack which they worked hard upon. Add to that the competition of other A-List MMOG games were already out in 2005 *coughWoWcough*. The Turbine... stopped spinning on that AC2 title. One of the RARE times where a Parent MMO game survives its official sequel title. A sad ending indeed. -
Oh, they released a PC version of the game, alright. I believe it was called, ummm.... EverQuest.

You played PlanetSide?! And here I thought I was the only one who played that.
[/ QUOTE ]
ANYone who logs into that game today... would have the exact same thought. -
[ QUOTE ]
It seems unlike most of the posters here, I lack any kind of loyalty to Cryptic or the City of... games. If MUO is more fun than CoX, I'll play MUO.
[/ QUOTE ]
Bingo! That is how it will go with the majority of Players... once the, "But it's Vista and 360 Only... and funded by Ebil Marvel!" yadda...yadda excuses runs its course. You Win at the Internets! -
[ QUOTE ]
In AC1 I was on Thistledown. Man it is so nice to see that someone else will know what I'm talking about
[/ QUOTE ]
Or having to Buy (and have enough room to carry) more Spell components because you could... *gasp* actually run out of herbs and other material... and start to *fizzle*! -
[ QUOTE ]
There aren't enough Super Hero/Comic Book MMO Players out there to support TWO MMOs.
[/ QUOTE ]
Let alone THREE titles. Right, DC / Sony? -
Has anyone asked Castle yet, why the Witch Hat has no hair?

I got a note to see the school career-counselor, once. He said, 'I have a great future ahead of me in the Arts and Entertainment industry, but would I please stop doodling on the desktops?' Does that count?

In a nutshell, It's a partnership. We want to spread the love and by collaborating with the Warcry network we bring wider coverage than just doing something here in our corner of the web.
[/ QUOTE ]
Works for me. Thanks for the answer!
[/ QUOTE ]
Plus if you think about it, people that have quit the game can easily ask questions in the Warcry forums (something that they couldn't do here, since having a cancelled account means lack of forum access).
[/ QUOTE ]
Not only that. It is a Win-Win situation... promotional-wise.
Warcry adds to the legitimacy of their popularity by extolling the partnership with Dev. leads and marketing of a well-known game and continuiing title. Remember the questions are screened ahead of time.
NCSoft wins because they DO get to reach out to those who might be regulars on Warcry, but have yet to discover the mouth-watery kewlness of the Co* Franchise. More sales brings in more ales... so to speak. -

the speech mannerisms of casual English conversation--people often create a small "p" sound after the word "well." At least, that's what I'm assuming Shego was using.
[/ QUOTE ]
Indeed. Although some choose to spell that expression, 'Whelp' ... but I don't really like equating the vocal-term with a, 'wild cub.' -
[ QUOTE ]
'Cause I see that typed alot and it kinda irks me.
[/ QUOTE ]
Probably the same way people write alot a lot... as it irks me and there is no such word. Your use of 'Kinda' will get a pass today. -

Been there, done that.. read the paperback-novel. But NOTHING concrete exists.... so far. Just more people spewing the same words from others, about something that was *supposed* to be released a year and a half ago. This is becoming little more than a 'Wag the Dog' event from all the looks of it. So far just a Vapor-ware Documentary. What valid producer would sit on a vehicle for a year and a half? And to hold back material for what reason? To wait for a change in the balance of Federal Government, perhaps? Else it makes no sense. -
[ QUOTE ]
I did a little digging and I thinkt his may come out actually.
Just a site I found with the newsdate very current.
[/ QUOTE ]
Welp, like many who got suckered in...that 'Item' is nothing more than a rehash of the same 'Promo News' from the YouTube Site. So in other words... nothing new and authentic about any *actual* release of a film. -
[ QUOTE ]
It's a documentary - as such they use the "Fair Use" provisions to get around permission.
[/ QUOTE ]
Actually, I am starting to believe those who claim this so-called 'documentary' was never really produced at all. Anyone waiting for this 'movie' to be released, will be rocking on the porch till the cows come home.
So far all they have to show for this work is ONE promo. That's it. No Credits. No IMDB entry. No actual Distributor... and no marketing beyond some Blog text and a shut-down Website. Nothing was used in the Promo beyond general-publicity footage and a few green-screen video 'sound-bites'... all diced together on 'Final-Cut' so Apple can get some cheap publicity out of it. The rest of it appears completely fabricated.
This is like one of those 'CoH Feature Presentation' fan-video promos where all the video-artist does is make ONLY THE PROMO and leave the other one-hour and fifty-five minutes up to everyones' imagination. Cheap way to stir up the world-collective hornet's nest and foster some agenda without having to pay for it. -
Server02a 1up pph: "Moral Kombat" edbc: "There is no IMBD entry for the movie, and the official website is no longer active. The only other information is an Apple.com article on the project from 2005, which mainly focuses on the production, and not the content of the documentary. The article also states that the documentary was supposed to be released in the Summer/Fall of 2005. The movie is not available for purchase on Amazon.com, nor is it listed for sale on other online movie retailers."
Conclusion? A failed-production that fell on deaf-ears while trapped in eternal search of a Distributor. Haha! -
But if you do... please.. please.. please... find an Outdoor location and take the screenies during the Daytime cycle. SO many times I see Players showing off the 'perfect screenie' of their characters.. and it was taken down some in-game dark Alley at Night or some sewer-mission, and you need a blow-torch to make out the silhouette of their body.
