    Dom Snipes

Thanks for responding. I like the sounds of this. I have 3 doms in the 30s. Which do you think would be best suited for the play style you're talking about (ranged powers)? I have a fire/electric, ice/psi, earth/fire. So far, I like ice controls the most.

And I agree, Doms are very easy to level thru the early teens. I've taken on more with my doms thru these lvls than my brutes.

I know I've been very impressed with the attack chains of my all-ranged builds on Test so far...

    [/ QUOTE ]

What kind of Dom do you have on test? I've made several Doms and it seems that their melee powers do more damage than the ranged ones. Has this changed or is my perception distorted?

    plant/thorn is fun and effective.

I like the plant primary but not so sure about thorny assault...it's dam potential. What lvl is yours?

How do you want to play the dominator?Casual teaming, farming, pvp, etc etc?

    [/ QUOTE ]

Mostly I play with 2 - 3 other friends. Only PvE. And I like to do different SFs.

Thanks for the feedback! MUCH appreciated!
  5. Ok, I don't like playing catch up by reading 50 million posts. So, for those of you who have tested the changes made to Doms which would you bring to 50? I have 4 doms in the lower to mid 30s - plant/thorn, fire/electric, ice/psi, earth/fire. Suggestions and the reasoning behind your choice?
  6. Aww...how can you not LOVE Liberty? Everyone is so helpful and nice!
  7. Gratz Dood! If you love fire and thermal so much...roll a fire/thermal corr.
  8. Keep the memories of your friend close to your heart, Xisha. If you need help getting to 50 or on the Hami Raid, let me know. I don't normally play heroes but I have 2 50s available.
  9. Ok, seriously. I am currently working on a spy that...oops I mean toon...that will cross over to the blue side. And perhaps her older sister may have to go after her...
  10. I'd tell you but then I'd have to kill you. Muahahahaha
  11. My bad...I thought we were talking about Cors who could heal.
  12. I have a fire/thermal cor. She does decent damage. The thermal set has a single ally heal as well as an aoe. There are also buffs and debuffs. I've tried just about all the power sets. It just depends on what you want to do with your toon. Good luck.

Comments/suggestions etc are welcome. Looking for typos, etc.

    Have fun!
  15. Don’t you love it when you see someone else [censored] about the lack of content on the red side?

Don’t you hate it when you have to play on the blue side to break the monotony and discover you can’t stand playing a hero?
  16. I have done the ITF several times on both test and live. I've used a fire/thermal/soul corr, ice/thermal/mu corr, ice/ice/mu dom and a dark/dark/mu brute. The next time I'll use my dark/ice corr.

Results: I cannot hold the minotaurs or cyclops with soul storm or any of the ice holds. I can hold them with my dark brute's fear powers though. The bosses in the black and gold armor with the red capes were seldom held with the ice powers or soul storm, but were slowed. They were immob with the midnight grasp. Romans seem to have less resistance to negative energy than they have to fire or ice.

I've heard the nictus can be debuffed with cold powers like benumb...still waitng for confirmation. Anyone? Or maybe I'll have to find out on my own.

I disagree with those who say there's a wrong way to do this TF. I just think there are different ways that work better depending on which ATs you have on your team.

P.S. Whenever I've died on the last mission, it's been from the summoning nictus' pets. (Or is that something I shouldn't admit to? )
  17. [ QUOTE ]

My rad corr was use the last time I tried the Nictus first strategy. As I recall the Nictus were either highly resistant to debuffage if not outright immune. Romulus however is another matter.

Nowadays I just pummel Romulus into the dirt 4 times, much for satisfying.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Not only more satisfying but more rewarding. You don't get xp, inf or drops from the nictus as far as I know. And yes, Rom can be debuffed and held. I've heard that some of the powers from the Cold Domination set (corr secondary) work on the nictus. I'm just trying to find out if that's true and how effective it is.
  18. I've done the ITF several times using both the 'Kill Rom 4 Times" and "Kill the Nictus" strategies. Killing the nictus seems to take longer. Can the nictus actually be debuffed enough to make a significant difference? And if so, which corr power does the best job?
