Yeah I stole some hotdogs, but unfortunately they were out of buns. Yeah I got out. Actually I dont know why I forgot about warping out in the first place.
Also, sometimes I notice that when you log on a character you do so coming out of a door. I dont know why they make it like that but they should at least make it so that it can't happen with a door that leads to nowhere. -
oh you now what. I have an oroboros porter. why did I think of that? It may have been because I was so annoyed. thanks. but why does this happen anyway? theres no way I could have logged off there.

I wish I were joking about this. but Im not. I logged on to my character only to find that he comes out of a door, and into a hot dog stand, and I cant get out. pressing /stuck doesnt do anything because I'm not really stuck like that, I'm just trapped in this small stand that I cant get out of. here's a pic of it.

also here are my coordinates in case that's needed. 2953.8 19.0 7097.3
this ever happen to anyone? is there a fix for this? Id like to be able to play my character again someday -
Quote:Ok. This worked for the most part, but part of it didn't work. I can see the inspirations automatically combining into purples when I move which is good, but when I press both Mouse button at the same time all that happens is I start running forward. I may have messed something up. Im gonna try copying the binds in again. Here's the easiest way. When the binds take effect, you will automatically combine insps into breakfree's as you move with WASD. Click both your left and right mousebuttons at the same time to use one of your breakfree's: copy/paste the following strings of text into your chat bar in the game, pressing Enter after each one.
/bind w "+forward$$inspcombine insight break_free$$inspcombine luck break_free$$inspcombine catch_a_breath break_free$$inspcombine respite break_free$$inspcombine sturdy break_free$$inspcombine enrage break_free$$inspcombine awaken break_free"
/bind a "+left$$inspcombine focused_rage emerge$$inspcombine keen_insight emerge$$inspcombine take_a_breather emerge$$inspcombine dramatic_improvement emerge$$inspcombine rugged emerge$$inspcombine good_luck emerge$$inspcombine bounce_back emerge"
/bind d "+right$$inspcombine righteous_rage escape$$inspcombine phenomenal_luck escape$$inspcombine second_wind escape$$inspcombine resurgence escape$$inspcombine robust escape$$inspcombine uncanny_insight escape$$inspcombine restoration escape"
mousechord "inspexecname escape$$inspexecname emerge$$inspexecname break_free"
EDIT: oh nvm I figured it out. you have to press '/bind' before entering that last line. ok I think everything's working now. I'm gonna go on that character later and see if things I've read here help me out. Thanks everyone for the advice. -
Quote:You know, I think that guide on making Emerges/Breakfees/Escapes could be the answer to my problems. Only problem is, I have no idea what's being said in that guide. I never really got that deep into using BindsBecause I hate doing the same work twice, here is an excerpt from my guide on how to deal with certain situations.
. Can someone tell me what lines I should use from that guide and how to use them?
-
Yeah, I already have the black Dwarf Form, but I prefer to only use it during emergencies, I like being in human form most of the time, and having all the attacks and stuff that they can use. Maybe I should just use the Dwarf form more often against certain Mob types. You both make some good points. also I knew about the inherent ability giving mez protection, but it seems like there's never a controller or a dominator on the team when I need one.

How do you do resist getting held in melee range as a Warshade? I have a primarily human-form Warshade that I play as a blapper, but at higher levels enemies like carnies and malta appear that always hold me as soon as I get close. It's really annoying and it's making me wonder if I even want to continue playing that character. So I need to know, how can I continue playing that style at higher levels without getting held so much? Are there certain IO sets I should buy, or what.... I'm also probably going to respec into acrobatics which will help. but besides that any advice would be appreciated.
-
Oh so there's none? ok. Does acroboatics make a difference with holds? I think it gives mag 2 hold protection, which doesn't seem like it would make that much of a difference.

Is there an Enhancement in the game that gives hold protection?

Quote:ok, that's good. I just wanted to be sure I could do it with having to learn anything else. Although I may also learn maneuvers on my defender anyway to help with arctic fog's short range. Thanks, that's pretty much all I wanted to know.FFG: 13.3% Defense, ~20% enhanced.
Cold Domination Shields: 15% Defense, ~23% enhanced
Arctic Fog: 5% Defense, ~7.5% Enhanced
So realistically as long as you ED cap FFG and the two ice shields you'll softcap everyone except for the cold dom (although the 40ft range on Arctic Fog means people need to stay close). -
My friend recently made a Cold/Dark Defender, and I thought a good partner to go with him would be a Traps/AR defender. My question is, if my friend slots arctic fog for defense, will that plus the ice shields, and force field generator, be enough to soft cap the defense of any team we join?

Oh well that's nifty. If I don't get weave I may get something else like Summon Widow or something. But that's to know about the patron arcs.

Yeah actually it did help. Well with Physical Perfection not really helping there's probably no reason for me to choose the body master pool at all. My Scrapper doesn't have end issues, I was just gonna choose that pool because I thought it would give him more protection. And yes, he already has Health, and Stamina from fitness. Oh yeah, and also he's a Fire Melee/Regen, Scrapper. The reason I didn't mention his primary before is because I didn't think that mattered. So yeah, he doesn't really get any mitigation from his primary which is why I wanted to go into a APP/PPP that gave extra mitigation. But your idea of going into soul mastery makes the most sense.
For lvls 41-49 I was going to learn resilience, and Body Mastery (Since I already had Tough), but now I think I'm going to go Weave, and Soul Mastery. The only down side is having to do all those tip missions to go to Red side and back, but whatever. Anyways Thanks for the input.
Oh yeah, and one more question, how do I get Soul Mastery on a scrapper that's already lvl 50? I have a free respec available, but how exactly does that work? Do I complete the Ghost Widow Arc, and then I can respec into Soul Mastery? -
I have a lvl 50 Regen Scrapper and I'm going to respec him, I planned the build that I want but the last 2 or 3 powers are the ones that I'm not sure about. Basically I just need to know to 3 questions.
I'm probably going to go into the Body Mastery EPP, and I want to know if Physical Perfection is worth it on a regen scrapper. I've seen some people take it on their builds, and I've seen others say its a waste with the regen you already have. The other question is, is Weave worth it to get? My build already goes into the fighting pool to get Tough, so getting Weave wouldn't be that hard, it's just that it's base values are so low. 3.75% Defense? It doesn't seem worth it, especially since I'm not combining it with any other move that gives defense, (well unless you count Mog). And the last question, is it that useful to get resilience to pair it up with Tough? To some degree I feel like Tough gives enough S/L resistence on its own, and kinda feel like just taking Energy Torrent from the Body Mastery Pool for fun, but I'm weird like that.
Anyway, that's basically it. Any advice would be appreciated. -
I'm not sure if this is in the right forum, or if this is even a coh problem, but whenever I close City of Heroes while Winamp is open, Winamp crashes. I don't have a lot of games on my computer right now to test this with, but out of the ones I have, only closing Coh cuases Winamp to crash. Does anyone have any solutions on what might fix this? I'm running on 64 bit Windows 7 if that matters.

Quote:Thanks, that's just what I wanted to know. It's 7% for blasters, 10% for corruptors, and 12.5% for defenders. Dual weild, piercing rounds, and empty clips all last six seconds. Executioner's shot, bullet rain, and hail of bullets last eight seconds. If you're looking to see which powers are the best for debuffing compared to their animation times (arcanatime not used), then the following list should help
dual wield: 3.6 debuffs
executioner's shot: 3.1 debuffs
piercing rounds: 2.4 debuffs
empty clips: 2.4 debuffs
bullet rain: 3.3 debuffs
hail of bullets: 1.9 debuffs -
What are the debuff values for the Damage Debuff when using Toxic Ammo on a Dual Pistols defender? are they any better than the one blasters, and corruptors get? I looked around, but couldn't find out anywhere.
