I've heard a lot of hate on AR/Dev, but especially on the /Dev part.
While I don't have a full picture to answer all of the hate, I can say that a lot of the powers in /Dev are situational, require several minutes to set up (looking at you Trip Mines), but when they do work, they work ok.
I have an AR/Dev at 50. If I'm solo and have the time to set up the traps and stuff, then he's pretty fun. Slow, but fun. If I'm on a team, we usually go quickly and most teams don't want to wait 5 minutes for your pyrotechnics. Mobs are dead and gone before you light your fuse.
Overall, Damage is another issue. You're doing Smashing/Lethal damage and later in the game, these are the most heavily resisted types from what people have told me.
I don't know. I have a lot of fun on the right teams with friends and solo, but I have better choices I could play for a more dramatic and exciting play session. If you solo or have teams that take a relaxed approach to leveling and running missions, then AR/Dev could work for you. -

I for one fully and wholeheartedly agree that Price Caps are the answer I've been looking for. It will solve a lot of problems in the market, just not the problems the poor people are complaining about. I think that we should put them in as soon as possible and maybe cut off Merits while we're at it.
Yeah, you heard me right. I think that the best solution is to end Merits and put a ridiculously low cap on everything.
I fully believe that this would be the singlemost profitable action to take.
(atleast until the market crashes, there's no longer any goods to find, and we've ripped and crushed all of the inf from the casually purpled Warshades out there.) -

Yeah, seems GameStop Clerks have no real idea what's going on. The clerk I spoke to at our store was under the impression that CoH was replaced by Chumps Online and that Cryptic still owned us...
I even printed out the webpage that the Official Announcement in the above section pointed to (at GameStop.com) and she still didn't get it... <boggle> -

Unfortunately you have 2 options and fortunately there may be a 3rd.
You will have to pay $9.99 per character that you want to move over.
You could recreate that alt here and start over
The Devs have hinted that Free Server Transfers may be having a guest appearance near Going Rogue, so it "may" be possible.
In any case, I recommend that you make alts here on Guardian with the names of your characters from Victory so you keep your name. When it comes time to transfer over, just delete the placeholder here on Guardian and retain the name.
(Aug 17th is the "Official" GR release date, not Aug 3rd btw)
As it's been mentioned, we are a family here. We get silly, and no, you don't have to wear pants if you don't want to.
