I shall inform you that, while the hour of socially correct sleep is upon you, there are those of us that do the jobs that others will not. At hours that they would not. And it is during this time that we are most productive.

But, in addition to the dangers of sleep evasion, we, of the night shift, must also contend with the horrors of the day. Not just the sun and all it's dangers, but with misinformed demographic chasers.

Imagine, if you would, you have worked a full days worth of toil, get home and drift to sleep, only to be awakend at 3 am by a Door to Door trinket seller. Or perhaps it is a telemarketer that has awakend you at the horrible hour of 3 am. Even worse is when your employer, the one that you opperate in these odd hours for, make important meeting for 3 am that everyone must attend.

This is what we, of the night shift, must deal with everyday, as we are contacted during our resting periods. Just as 3am for you is absurd, so is our 6 pm. So, as I sympathise with your plight, know that it can, and indeed has, been worse.
