  1. I am really not handling this well. I have real mental health problems and accepting change is not a thing I do well. I just... I just don't know what I'm going to do. I loved this game.

Oh, and Tutelary is a giant ********* for filling this thread with trollish "told you so" excrement. We really don't need such behavior on a sad day like this.

  3. I made it a few months ago and since then I was kinda hoping people would stumble across it on chance, but it seems no one ever did. So, with the game coming to a close, perhaps I can ask everyone a favor and play it. Let me know what you think. It's a comedy based around the oldest in jokes this community had: "Kill Skuls" and UniqueDragon.
  4. ....I actually broke down and cried. This is the only MMORPG I've known, and being an OCD sufferer, I can't handle changes like this. Please let this be a late April Fool's. Please.

I sincerely doubt that they're all used.

You really should try. My guess is that there's more than enough still left.
  8. All right, since we're all being helpful, the one I used earlier was: 34JJ-ARB7-HHAZ-2D8W-AJQW
  9. Ha. Got one purely by selecting a random code.

Claiming that they "can't be bothered" or "don't care" is both insulting and ridiculous.
    This.

    The Drudges.
  13. It's just a Police Call Box, nothing to see here....
  14. Hm, a pollution power set would be pretty neat.

The trident also looks rather nice. Furthermore, there's something to be said about the metal and wood staves' simplicity.

Really? Interesting, considering that I actually like long stories. Any other absolutisms you want to throw at us?

And in a twist M. Night Shyamalan would be proud of, Calvin Scott isn't a vengeance driven leader that's had enough of Cole's tyranny and only cares about saving his wife no matter who dies in the process, but is instead a lunatic that made up his entire backstory and escaped from Mother Mayhem's hospital. Even though there are zero clues or hints that even attempt to allude to this massive bombshell at all throughout the Praetorian storyline.
I've debated this numerous times before, so if you bother to search, you'll maybe find the various posts I've made that highlighted the clues. Needless to say, just because you didn't notice them didn't mean they weren't there. I had always thought of Calvin Scott as being a nut job because of such.

Again, your exhaustion over a piece of game lore is not a sign of "bad writing." I actually enjoyed the Dominatrix arc.

As for Sam, he's one of the more vociferous critics of the game's writing, and while I do not ever agree with him on its present quality, not even he could hate Dark Astoria.

Then we get Dark Astoria, which had Praetoria's elements thrown into nearly all it's arcs (Talons of Vengeance, Dominatrix, Daibolique). And I24's gonna give us Marauder the Good Guy while still managing to drag out the Praetorian storyline even longer.

But instead we got two years of storylines focusing on nothing but a zone doomed to die, while the overall quality of it's stories plummeted.
Just because you're tired of an aspect of the game lore doesn't mean the quality of writing was bad. You list Dark Astoria as an example, and yet even Samuel Tow admitted that the writing there was awesome.

Apparently some people seem to think that the Synapse TF is the greatest storytelling ever.

  22. Then again, you must remember weapon skins come above and beyond all the animations and mechanics for the power sets. They don't just press a button and the weapon self-renders. Someone has to make those like someone has to make the powers, and those people need to get paid for that work.

    But "CAPITALIST PIGDOGS!" anyway, right?
  23. YEAH! How dare they try to make money! It's almost like they're trying to be some kind of business or something! EVERYTHING SHOULD BE FREE!!!
