  1. [u]Name[u]: The Reciprocators

[u]Currently Recruiting[u]: Currently taking in new members

[u]RP Level[u]: RP required. SG and Coalition channels are IC.

[u]Theme/Concept[u]: A group of heroes willing to hit a little harder, similar to Daredevil and Batman. It doesn't matter how many broken bones you bring them in with, as long as they're alive to stand trial. Intentional killing is expressly forbidden.

[u]Activity[u]: 39 unique, active members. Peak hours are 6pm EST - 11pm Australian EST, with the busiest period being about 9-12pm EST. No specific days of the week seem to be busier than others, though weekends see more organised events.

[u]Requirements for Membership[u]: Must file an application on the website and be reviewed by officers. Should be willing to take on the uniform of the Reciprocators and check the forums regularly, but this is not an absolute requirement. You will need to log in at least once a month.

    [u]Leadership[u]:
    Black Starbeam (Primary Tier)
    Static Bolter (Primary Tier)
    Pariah Flux/Tech Flux
    Alexus Apollo/Alexus Apoiio
    Kitsuki Kaijuko/Radiant Redemption
    Officer Zap

    [u]In-Game Contact(s)[u]: @Scrier

    [u]Out-of-Game Contact(s)[u]: This forum handle

    [u]URL[u]: www.reciprocators.org

[u]Coalition(s)[u]: Circular coalition, where all groups are coalitioned to each other, under the Shield of Paragon. Currently coalitioned with the Silver Guard, The Dawn Patrol, They Might Be Heroes, The Guardian Angels and the Mighty Brigade. The Coalition also maintains an RP space and alt area, for characters who don't fit the groups of the coalition.

[u]Other Details[u]: Base setup... as big as we can with plenty of distinct RP areas. The base is also raidable. Task Forces are done usually impromptu, though have been planned in the past, with an average rate of one per week. Ultimately what I'd like for the Reciprocators is a group of RPers, all looking to interact with each other as much as possible and to help others have a good time.

  2. The Violators - ((RP group))

Payment for services rendered. Positions open in causing mayhem, destruction and pain. No matter what your flavour of evil, the Violators will point you in the direction of a target, and ensure you get well paid for it. Nothing pays better than a rich man with a vendetta.

To apply, or for more information send an in-game e-mail to Professor Monochrome, or a forum PM to me.
  3. If only I could have picked storyline AND bases. It seems bases needed support, and every hero group needs a mansion, or a tower, or a fortress or a.....
  4. Quick update to the Reciprocators' info. The following is considered to be OOC.

    * Supergroup Name : The Reciprocators

    * Website : Here

    * Leader : Black Starbeam

    * Additional Recruitment Officers : Static Bolter, UNIT SR02, Burnum, Magnetic Guardsman

    * Preferred Method of contact : Ingame email or tell to Black Starbeam

    * Guild Description : A reasonably sized RP Supergroup. Members are expected to stay roughly to character when RPing both within the group and without, though no RP nazis please. Interested parties must be interested in having fun over churning prestige and powerlevelling. Hero characters are sought most, and there is no restriction on age, background or powerset.

All members must take a predesigned supergroup costume or a variant as their second costume.

The Reciprocators have no epic story of founding. We are just a group of heroes, in the same vein as the Avengers and JLA, who realised that working together makes more of a difference than working alone. It makes for more epic tales too.

    IC Recruitment ad:

Are you interested in making a difference as best you can?

Want an experienced group watching your back, while you watch theirs?

The Reciprocators are looking for heroes like you to sign up today, and fight for what you believe in. The people of Paragon need our help and protection. Heroes of all walks of life are needed to join the fight to take back Paragon from those who would do harm to her citizens.

Ask for our contact details at City Hall.

If your going to make a crybaby rant try to be unbiased.
How about this! All the Psychic Spiders... EVERYWHERE, constantly attacking people, through stealth, through invisiblity etc. Don't cry about longbow I played both sides, trust me the damn spiders are way WAY more annoying.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Maybe they haven't played from both sides. So it sucks from both hero and villain sides. What's your point? The reported the one they played from being flawed.
  6. [ QUOTE ]
If the 1 hp/end thing stays in and expands to all the PvP zones, I will take a character and sit him in the hospitals, while I get the 5 hour badges, and just heal and buff everyone to get them into the battle quicker.

    [/ QUOTE ]

It's already in all the PvP zones, has been since I7 was released to test.

    2. The spawning at 1 hp thing is almost completely negated if you have a self-heal.

    [/ QUOTE ]

I wonder how long before Defenders start staying behind at the base, patching up the wounded so they can get back to the war ASAP. I know a few people who might really like this idea...

    [/ QUOTE ]

It would certainly feel a lot more like an actual battle. Huh... I'd be tempted to roll up a proper defender or corrupter for that.

    [/ QUOTE ]

I always figured that was what going to hospital was for. Felt like an actual battle to me. I'm sick of getting really into what I'm doing, getting one or two shotted by something I never saw, then having a bit of a stretch and look around the room while I rest. Or, since I die a lot, going to make some coffee while I wait to regen naturally. Maybe if it was just Recluse's Victory that this had been implemented on, I could deal with it.

This kind of activity cycle is what turned me off Counterstrike. I hate the idea of getting involved in something, getting interested, and then having to stop and wait for a while before I can continue.
  8. I think the risk vs reward thing is met by the chance of running into other players.
  9. [ QUOTE ]
I think that debt in a PvP zone should be cut in half, like in missions. My main reason? Griefers.

    [/ QUOTE ]

    I hear that, man.
  10. It's been said before and I'll say it again. The heroes are too big. I'd like to see my efforts be for something. It's painful when a team of 8 villains doesn't see the health bar of Sister Psyche move an inch.

Also, there's the issue that's in every PvP zone. The archetypes still are not balanced.
  11. I've been having issues on the Atlas Park mayhem mission with my Elec/Elec Brute.

First time I did it, I managed to find a skull, and get the key. I got no ideas as to where the door that it fit opened might be and trying every door in the area, I got no luck and ran out of time.

The last two, I can't even find a single skull. I build up all the time I can and roam and roam, searching alleys and streets and rooftops and ... and ... and I find nothing. Not a Skull in sight.
  12. Regardless of whether or not the 1/3 buff to the SR passives was intentional, it was an improvement to a low-powered set, which for me at least made the game feel a touch more fun.

I don't go planning my set out perfectly in advance, I create on concept, but it seems to me that nobody who plans the perfect set wants to touch these powers.

    *sigh* I'm way off topic, aren't I?
  13. I for one was happy with the SR changes. It made playing an SR stalker really fun instead of just squishy. Any buff that gives SR some help in PvP is more than welcome.

Case in point: On live I went toe to toe with a Regen Scrapper in Siren's Call the other night. I had far more powers available, with far more slots and I barely scratched the surface.

Something to make SR more viable was great.

As people have said, the passive powers are borderline useless as they stood at I6, there's no reason to take them, unless like me you play based on a conceptual character design.

The next person to tell me I should have gone regen because they're 'better' is getting yelled at. There shouldn't be one overarching more powerful set, nor one definitive less powerful set, and in my opinion, SR is the latter.
  14. * Supergroup Name: The Reciprocators

    * Leader or Recruiting Officers: Black Starbeam, Static Bolter, Frost Smash

    * Preferred Method of contact: Ingame email or tell to Black Starbeam

    * Guild Description: Looking to be a small supergroup with RP in mind. Members are expected to stay roughly to character when RPing both within the group and without, though no RP nazis please. Base is currently small and will be primarily designed as a place to hang out, with functional improvements coming later. Interested parties must be interested in having fun over churning prestige and powerlevelling. Applicants will work with a few members of the team before being accepted.

Current average level is about 13, so be prepared to exemplar or sidekick to work with us if need be.

All members must take a predesigned supergroup costume or variant as one of their costume options. Current members intend to take it as their second costume.

No epic story of founding here. Just a group of heroes who realised that working together is better than working alone.
