Quote:All the AV's in Barracuda are guarded, generally, by one minion. The stalker was soloing the minion. So you'll have the majority that really believe that all they should do is hide/AS/run away/Hide/AS, repeat. Considering the dev-love for redside, would you expect any less when it came to deciding "hmm, what should the stalker do? I know!:hide/AS/run/away/AOE(AS!!)...thats it!"
He missed the AS. So his strategy was to wait till it recharged and try again.
Against. A single. Minion.

Problem with the corrupter temp is that is the movement of the spouts is a bit unreliable. I've seen four corr's all fire it off and only manage to clear a third of the held mobs.
Apparently, none of the 5th column mobs take damage from the security room (was hoping to be able to wormhole dudes in there).
It's one of the spawns in the pit in front of the mission. Not sure which one.

Yeah, but the mastermind power doesn't require or encourage the mastermind to break LOS from the fight and AV and stand around waiting for the right time to use his power, all the while doing NOTHING.

omg, 5th column hacks.
Shame, that would have been a nice "new fun things to do with wormhole" item.

Now, it's no secret that I'm pretty negative about the stalker AT in general. It's a less then useful AT that directly encourages an useless play style. For every stalker that plays competently, you have one that plays like a putz (scouting the map, scared to scrap, over or only using assassination strike, etc).
So now we have Barracuda SF. And the stalkers power? Four use kill all non-AV enemies in the room. Useful power, good if the team is getting overwhelmed and the room is filling with the ambushes. But to use it, the stalker has to go in a little side room. It's only 50' from the main fighting area, so the stalker can get there in three to five seconds if things are looking bad.
So running a Barracuda last night, fighting M. Bison... We're fighting him, ambushes coming but we're taking them out mostly, got Bison down by 25 percent... And then I notice that one of the stalkers has spent the entire fight in one of the side rooms, waiting to use the temp power.
I can't help but feel this is the extension of the Stalker Pug Mentality; Oh noes, I'm too fragile for fighting, my character was designed to sneak, not fight, they wouldn't have given my this ability if they didn't want me to use ONLY it. And by giving this power to stalkers, they just reinforce it.

Do hostile/5th Column NPC's take damage in there as well? I've noticed that pets do.
Wondering about the feasibility of wormholing mobs in there.

No, only ITF you have to unlock the zone to join.

Quote:And I hope those people get their accounts banned. As long as the transaction remains in-game currency for in-game services or items it is not violating any rules. That said, if you pay someone 5 million influence to PL you and they don't, you have no recourse, you just lost 5 mil. The GMs can't and won't make someone give you your influence back, because you gave it up of your own free will.
The instant real money comes into it (unless it is a service or item pack from NCSoft itself) it is a bannable offense. Interestingly enough, a lot of the accounts you're getting spam emails from were stolen from someone who paid real money to have their character PLed. Not only did they NOT get PLed, but they effectively paid someone to steal their account. -
Yeah, but those are all on the top row for low/barely used powers.

Primal;
At least your inspiration tray is organized.
Your power tray, through? I looks like you just took a big handfull of powers and tossed them at the wall to see how they would stick.

I always do:
Heals columns 4-5
Column 3 is a mix of heals/end/rez/breakfree
1-2 is +def's.
For the power trays, 1st tray is all attacks.
First half of the 2nd tray is specialty mez attacks and the like, right half is toggles/movement powers.
Top tray is misc. stuff, pretty much the same on every character.

Forget the time limit.
What crackhead organized your inspiration tray that way?
Ugh, and the power trays are little better.

You know, I've done all MM's of most of the strike forces, the level 50 respec, ITF, Lady Grey, and NEVER had problems like last night.
I suspect that's because this was the first time we've had nearly all bots and/or that many dispersion bubbles. Our team consisted of:
3 bots/traps
2 bots/ff
2 bots/storm
1 thugs/dark
My framerate was generally 8-14, but dropped way down towards the end. And the weird thing, as others have pointed out:
The entire team was loosing sound. At the same time. Either NO sound entirely, or just the background of the map or the sound of dispersion bubbles. Way bizarre.

Depends. Going to have to see how annoying / easy it is to switch. If switching is easy, sg management and membership is going to be annoying.

It should be noted that this just keeps your reputation from being displayed; people can still leave reputation / "anonymous" comments to you with it.

I do wonder what the mods thought would happen when they introduced a forum with a member-voted rep feature and member-created tags. It's almost like they wanted the extra work.

Ratings were eliminated for the same reason, originally. The amount of abuse (not counting the threads that simply incite the abuse... like people complaining about it) is rather small, IME.
These forums are afraid of me. I have seen it's true face. The threads are extended gutters and the gutters are full of meaningless posts and when the drains finally scab over, all the Forum Games posters will drown. The accumulated spam of all their "rate the person above you posts" will foam up about their wastes, and when all the thread spammers and post padders of CoH will look up and shout "Save us!"
And I'll look down and whisper....
Tunnel snakes rule.

Quote:It's just turned into an extension of the forum games. I can ignore that easy just by not going to the forum or putting people on ignore. The tags are just being used as a way for immature people to be mean or off topic "anonymously."If you don't like it, just ignore it. Now, was that so hard?
You know, get hold of a nuka cola quantum, turpentine, and some Abraxo cleaner and we're in business.

People have been going overboard with the tags. The entire system seems to be just used to make snide or inane comments.

For the indoor council maps, I think we're going to have to split into 3-4 directions. The person in front is going to have to get in the habit of using the goto command to rush to the side/back of the room to make room for the people behind him.
