The costume parts look really good. Considering how long and how often people have suggested costume change emotes, though, I'm a little annoyed that they couldn't put a couple into the game proper before starting to sell them in the booster packs.

It's all about the money, to tell you the truth, I'm suprised that NC haven't pulled the plug on CoX for not making enough. They've already killed two of the other games I used to play.
  2. Ok, I'm seeing that their could be issues with actually buying the booster pack, is it server stress or something else?

I am having an issue, having not noticed the release of the cyborg booster, I decided to buy that .. no problem. Then when I tried to buy the magic booster ...

... "We're sorry, but we are unable to accept your order at this time. Please try again later or tomorrow. If you continue to have problems, you may wish to visit one of our retail partners."

Is this due to the problems that they were having earlier, or is it their system crying because I already made a purchase today and they don't want to take any more money from me?
  3. Sorry, guys. I'm not going to sit here on the off chance that someone else decides they can be bothered with the group tonight.

If anyone else is up for a fire/rad group, give me a shout, I'm more than willing to do more than one night a week too. But please, only contact me if you really are interested in seeing a group through to the end and further.
  4. I'm juiced up on coffee and ready to go, I love my Tassimo!

I really need to get a second and third machine running, so I can hardware box, i'm missing the ease of WoW boxing

I love the way he was expecting to loose that fight, but ended up tearing them apart.
  8. I'm not sure if I'm reading the right, but if you've only just bought the game, have you just started? If so, there is a level requirement to wear capes (back details). If I remember rightly, it's level 20 and you need to do a quest.

If that's not what you wanted to know, then just point and laugh at me, I can handle it
  9. The one bad thing that I have found about this group is, when it's over, all I want to do it play it
  10. And a good night was had by all, thanks for the team. Can't wait for the next one.

After struggling with 5 boxes last night, I decided to retire two of them and drop to three boxing, which is a lot easier. I run 1 char on my second monitor and 2 on my main, meaning I only need to alt-tab the once. Perhaps I should give my nieces the other two accounts .. I'd be favorite uncle for a while. But then, I'm only uncle

As for my play times, sometimes I can get on during the day, but mostly it's nights that I play, late nights

Between 1am and 5am, I was lucky if I saw 3 people. I know, I know, normal people sleep at that time of night, but, such is the life of an insomniac .. cue the song .. I can't get no sleep!

Well, the "point" is for me to be able to see a lot of the content that I have never seen, either due to poor teams, crashes or not being able to get a team at all. Mainly TF's and the like.

I just enjoy having my own team, not being able to do stuff, because I can't find a team the times I play, it really does my head in. Granted, a multiboxed team of 5 is going to be no where near as efficient as a team of 5 actual players, but I take what I can get.

5 is the teamsize in WoW, so I played 5. Plus, Keyclone allowed almost total control of all 5 characters too.

Only ever playing 1 character on CoX before and being bitten by the boxing bug, I thought, I can run 5 on WoW, I can run 5 here. I have to say though, I will probably drop an account or two in the future.

I think t enjoy multiboxing here preferably choose something with lots of spike damage, small setup times, maybe lots buff stacking too.

All fire blaster team for example with 1 debuffer or buffer (preferably kin or sonic) could be a fun experience.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Yeah, the Fire/Rad controllers did seem a lot easier to run with, it's the setup that's the pain with the MM's. Although I've gone for all Thugs for the enforcer's buff, then 1xDM, 2xFF and 2xTraps. I have the feeling that they are more well suited to street sweeping, rather than running mission arcs, which is what I enjoy doing, and is possibly where my problem arises.

I'll go with these a bit longer, at least until I get some group travel powers under my belt, then I will decide.

Ah, nice to have some support on here. I must admit though, I am beginning to think that boxing 5 chars at the same time is a bit foolish. I moved across to Defiant and rolled 5 Masterminds and I seem to spend more time summoning pets and setting up follow, than I do with actual missions .. hehe .. live and learn.

Heh, the reason behind the 5 boxing is, I did it on WoW. So figured i could do it here. It's a lot more of a pain, but I'm going to make it work.

But always rememeber, with 5 characters comes the cost of 5 sets of IO's

I've got no plans to sell any of my hard work, I just enjoy having a team whenever I play and lets face it, sometimes it's next to impossible to get a team going.

OH BOY! In the words of Illidan, "YOU ARE NOT PREPARED!"

If you don't know WoW, you won't know the quote, but it fits nicely into what I just went through

I logged in to Union on the blue side, created my 5 Fire/Rad controllers, with the idea of using them to get my own SG Base up and running as fast as possible. Clothed them, named them, logged them in .. BOOM! I was hit by a wall of hate. According to the populace, I'm a hacker, a cloner, a farmer, a cheat etc etc etc.

Why can't they just see me as another player to bolster the thinning ranks of the game?

Ah well, time to give the Villain side a go, or maybe Defiant

    Thanks, Kowabanga.

Unfortunately, I'm not a rich multiboxer and don't have the advantage of running multiple machinee. So, software boxing is my only option. Problem with that is, CoX is said to send hidden characters with it's key presses, which stops Keyclone from working on a single machine, i've not tried Octopus, but it's worth a look, thanks.

Do you know if @Lost Ninja runs on multiple machines? Don't want to bother him if he does.

    Thanks for that, Rooks.

I'm only dual boxing right now, so just running with two windows on screen at the same time, trying to get things figured out.

Right now it's two Thug/FF MM's, one set to bodyguard (main) and the other set to agressive. I've just been pulling things withing range of the second char, then blasting away. I've realised how spoiled I was in WoW for multiboxing, but I'm determined to make a go of this, got three more copies on order, they should arrive tomorrow, then I can start five boxing.

Thanks for the welcome back. I would have posted with my old account, but I can't seem to remember, or have access to the email I registered it with .. doh.

Anyway, multiboxing is playing 2 or more accounts on 1 or more computers.

    Multiboxing

I'm just returning to CoX after a brief stint of multiboxing in WoW. I've missed out on a couple of issues and must say, i'm liking the changes.

It's WoW that got me into the habit of multiboxing, it works well for me as I tend to play in small hours of the morning, when teaming can be a pain in the butt. That and I enjoy the challenge.

I've been messing about with dual boxing tonight, but would like to go to quad, maybe even 6 boxing in the next week. I've discovered that the likes of Keyclone are of no use whatsoever and the whole alt-tab thing, while being effective is a pain. I was wondering if there are any other boxers around that can pass on some tricks of the trade, to make life a little easier with boxing. Is it just a case of alt-tab and having macros for buffing, then a power or two on autocast?

Thanks for anything you can help me with.

If you're a multibox hater, save your breath, I don't bother reading your hate. Jealousy is a terrible thing, isn't it?
