The maximum number of tickets awarded per player per mission has been reduced to 1,500 tickets. Because you cannot get a partial reward for defeating an enemy, you may end up with slightly less.

I've run a few missions since the patch and this is either wrong or quite misleading. It's possible that 1500 tickets is indeed some sort of hard cap, but there is a much more restrictive soft cap in place.

For instance, I did a mission on a small map. The ticket bonus on completion was 87, along with a messages saying (I paraphrase) one or more tickets had not been granted as the limit for that map had been reached.

I'm not, at this point, making a judgement call as to whether this is a good or appropriate change, merely indicating that there's a lot more to it than a simple cap.

  2. I know there have been other threads on this, but either they've fallen off the board or my search-fu is weak.

What's the status on either Mid's going JAVA (or some other Mac friendly structure) or Suckerpunch's planner getting a major update?

I love playing on my Mac. I hate not being able to plan a build in fine detail.
  3. I've lost all track, so I apologize if this has been answered elsewhere. Was the Mac version supposed to go live along with i13? If so, where can I download the client? If not, what's the status and/or vague ETA?

Holy crap non a shingle, mah, I'm stickied!

I just checked test. Yes, you can socket Dominator pets with recharge-intensive pet sets.

Also: Gaze of the Basilisk is all rares. Pool B, it seems, all the pieces worth 125-150. Note that a single LOTG is worth 200 merits. This suggests to me that while I love Gaze to pieces, it won't really be as big a cornerstone to the future builds of Dominators as I thought. You could get 4 pieces of Basilisk for 400-500 merits, or you can get a pair of LOTGs for that.

Basically, all the new sets that amp recharge are rare and sell for 100-ish merits apiece. Hopefully, the market will not undergo too hard a conniption fit and these things will be available on the market, but ultiumately, it looks like lotgs - at 200 merits each - are the gold standard for permadom.

Ya gotta think that at least some of that price is simply due to the newness factor. Im thinking they'll come down a bit once the supply reaches a point similar to other like sets. 100+ per IO seems quite excessive.

  5. The lads and I will stand against any invasion. These aliens need to get the message that this planet, this dimension, does not welcome their presence.

  6. I like the idea in theory, but I do have a few thoughts.

First off, Posi mentions the original concern of the high cost 'gating' poorer users out of the process. Then at the end mentions how he thinks they might go for more than the Very Rare enhancements they're about to add even though they'll be not quite as rare as 'Very Rare'. Considering some people seem willing to pay 75 million for a 7.5% global recharge recipe this concerns me not just a little.

Also, will this now be viewed as 'the' source of additional respec thus removing future 'freespecs' with power-changing issue releases?

Kali...the middle quote in your Sig. Six String Samurai?

    [/ QUOTE ]

Yep. I should send you some cookies, or maybe beer, for recognizing it!

To whom should I send it?

(anyone think that was subtle enough?)

    [/ QUOTE ]

I'll take a shot at earning some cookies (or at least some forum pie).

The bottom quote has to be Spider Jerusalem. Transmetropolitan is still one of my favorite series' ever.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Have some forum pie, even though I revealed them a few posts later.

    [/ QUOTE ]

D'oh! That's what I get for posting after linking in from the Dev Digest and not absorbing the whole thing. Oh well, I'll take the pie anyway
