Quote:I would suggest buffing Gremlins' damage, for energy and especially smashing damage are easily resisted, and the entire electric control lacks damage.Lack of ability to do sufficient damage to solo adequately is my one complaint about Electric control.
It would be nice if they had kept a small damage component on Conductive Aura. Fire has Hotfeet to put out some small aoe damage, and that sets it apart nicely; but I think that Electric could share this specialty without much conflict given its weak single-target damage.
And I would say Ice and Grav controll might need some buffs too. -
Metal Control :
1. Rust Metal
Mag 3 Stun, -Res
2. Midas Touch
Melee Mag 3 Hold, increase prestidge by 10% and item drop rate by 10%, if target died within duration
3. Steel Shackle
AOE Immobilization with 25% chance of hold
4. Titaniumize
Hold with +50% res to all ( this skill works both on ally and enemy )
5. Mirror Shielding
Self only, enemies who damage you would suffer 25% of the damage too, and damages to you aren't lowered.
6. Cleansing Silver
summon an object that would cast pbae cure dot/negative effect every 2 seconds.
7. Midas Grab (Chaining Midas Touch)
Midas Touch with chaining ability
8. Magnet
Area teleport foe + Stun (same as Grav's but not knockdown)
9. Mercury Dopplegenger
Skill : Gain Ability : Toggle
Gain all abilities of target enemy until it's dead. -
Quote:Maybe it's a bit unrelated to the topic, but I think Gremlins have a similiar rate of death with Phantasm. As a melee pet, couldn't it have some better self protection? Most of the folks I know who play Illusion on a regular basis have been commenting on the change in Phantasm's AI causing him to run into melee and die frequently. This is a problem not only because you lose a chunk of damage from your pet, but also some folks relied upon Phanty's Decoy to hold aggro when re-casting Phantom Army.
I take Phantasm as a blaster, while Fire Imp as scrappers, and Animated Stone as Tanker to review its survivability and damage. These pets look balanced, but not Gremlins, who don't seem to tank and don't have the decoy to tank, and don't do good damage as well. I would say if with Phatasm's melee AI, it's still better than Gremlins.
I hope the dev can look into this too. -
Quote:I still suggest buffing up the damage of Gremlin,I admit I missed that . . . and I wouldn't try to mostly solo an Electric controller. I have soloed mine on occasion and I soloed a couple on Test . . . and even after you get the Gremlins, it is not fast. Before the Gremlins, the huge majority of my damage had to come from my Vet powers. If you really want to solo the Electric Control set . . . go with a Dominator. I'm working on an Elec/Earth.
lots of soft control doesn't mean it deserve low damage in my opinion,
Earth's pet can tank while it has good area control, and Illunion's do good damage even with Phantom army and Spectral wounds. I don't know why Gremlin can't have good damage or good defense. -
Hi:
After playing electric controller to 4x, my opinion that some electric control powers might need some buff.
1. Tesla Cage : I would like to see the activation time halved, it's currently too long.
2. Synapse Overload : The duration is shortest among all single/multiple confuses,
And with a really long cooldown, if you miss the first time, the entire power misses,
and the jumping distance seems short, not to say jumping takes time,
it cannot be used in emergency well.
For those disadvantage, I suggest to cut the cooldown half, and
make the duration the same as most confuse power.
3. Gremlin : the pets dont' deal good damage, and cannot tank well (only resists energy)
and they like to chase mobs far away instead of mobs near, their brawl
has a long cooldown, and AoE aura only hits 3 with long tick.
(Note : most of the time if they are at melee range of mobs, they would forget
to use Jolting bolt too )
The pets to me are just a bit underpowered, but because of the low damage
of electric control, we might still need any source of damage from the pets.
I suggest to double the pets' damage and adds more resistance to the pets,
including status resistance, and increase the aura's limit from 3 to 8,
then would make the pets decent. -
Ahhh....I found the activation time of single target hold of Electricity Control is the longest, almost doubling Fire Control. I am not sure the reason but, I think why Fire Control can has that fast activation time, but Electricity Control cannot?

Happened here too, I think maybe they started to block users outside from making any purchases.
