I don't like the tailor/trainer (tinker/spy?) idea either. If one of my lowbies needs a tailor when I'm in Atlas Park, I just run down to the Vanguard building and use the one in RWZ. No need for an Icon there imo.

I'd like to be able to customize the colors of the chat channels. Right now we have the help, hero zone event messages, npc dialog, pet and request/auction channels all in purplish colors and it can be really difficult to tell them apart at times. My main concern is the hero zone events, would love to make them a brighter, more noticeable color as the Praetorian and villian channels are.

Thank you, this makes much more sense. Can't wait to try it out.

I know, it's really a mess which is why I'm asking here. I took some bad advice and wound up with a jack of all trades, master of none situation. What I would really like to use her for is team play so that would be concentrating on defense with holds and debuffs.

This is the first controller that I've gotten to level 50 and would appreciate help on her end game build. I'm not locked into fire as an epic power set and actually have been wondering if I'd be better off with another set. Any thoughts are appreciated.

I was having trouble getting the full view because my mouse doesn't have a middle button, just the wheel, and when I'd try to zoom in to change the angle or view I'd wind up looking at my back again. Switched to a newer mouse and that did help the problem.
What Samuel described is what I meant. The head/shoulders area of the toon is always in the center and you can't change that focus. I would like to see a separate option for photography that will allow us to change the point of focus. -
Okay, tried this in world and while you can get a partial front picture you can't really zoom out for a full body shot. It would be nice if we were able to move the camera around a bit more without it resetting.
-
Sheesh.....been playing all this time and never knew that. Color my face red
-
I'd love to see an option that would allow us to take a front view snapshot of our toons in-game without having to be in combat or having someone else snap it for us. The character select and tailor screens are the only way now and are pretty limiting.
-
I'm having the same problem from the home page. None of the drop down menus or links are working today.
-
Have we heard anything more definite about a release date for Issue 17?
-
Yes, thanks, someone directed me to the hotfix last night and that took care of the problem. I appreciate the help.
-
Thanks, I should have realized that. I'm so bloody frustrated with this that I saw "player help" and ran for it.

Today I got a new computer and downloaded CoH but I'm having problems getting the game to load. About 3/4's of the way through the loading I start to get heavy screen flickers. The log in screen will appear and I can enter my user name and password, select my server and character, but the entire time I'm getting screen flickers (appx every 3-5 seconds). When the zone loading screen appears it only gets about 1/5 of the way on the loading taskbar before crashing. The entire time I'm getting flickers, even seeing the loading screen graphic again. It takes over 5 mins from the time the zone screen appears till the program shuts down. I've tried verifying files, safe mode and running under Windows XP compatibility. I know it's a tech support question and I've submitted a ticket but thought maybe someone here might have some suggestions.
The computer is running Windows 7, graphics card is an ATI Radeon 5850 and I have 4 gigs RAM.
Any ideas would be appreciated.
Found hotfix for my graphic driver. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction. -

Thats just what I did too! Put the powers I wanted for each toon in the same places in the same tray and now each toon is set. Thanks to all of you for your help.

Quote:That is excellent, exactly what I needed! I think I actually complicated things by trying a combination of keystrokes (shift+alt) rather than just alt or control and the number. Leftover mindset from another game, I guess. However, your 2nd and 3rd trays that come off the first (via the little up arrow at the rightmost end next to the buttons for the enhancement and inspiration trays) react to the control and alt keys (IIRC, Alt is second tray, control 3rd). If you haven't changed what tray is in the 2nd and 3rd, then it would be on 1 (the default) and not differ from what you have on your main power bar.
Quote:Shift + # auto selects the matching teammate (Notice the little numbers by your teammates names in the team window?)
Thank you so much for your very fast answer. -
I've been playing CoH for almost a month now and have a question about the accessing the different power trays through keystrokes. As my toons level and get more powers, I've needed to use the 2nd power tray. Are these trays accessible by keystroke? I have a Logitech G15 keyboard and would like to assign some of my most used powers to the function keys, but Shift+ the number or Cntrl Shift + doesn't seem to work. Seems very inconvenient to have 9 power trays available and your only option is to spread them around your UI and mouseclick.
