  1. At first I was going to say that I laugh at you silly heroes and your TFs with hunt missions until I realized that Operative Renault SF has 3 hunts (small hunts, but still hunts). THEN I realize that I already did the WST on the three characters I wanted to do it on. So I point, and I shall laugh at you! "HAHA!"

All kidding aside, during the Ustream event they said they were going to activate the Halloween event this weekend because of the maintenance. They didn't say anything about Zombie invasions though.

  3. Wait a sec, wait a sec. When Mortimer Kal becomes the WST, will a 50 who's never run it before and is Alpha Unlocked get two Notices at the same time?
  4. Well I almost finished this build, only things missing are the regular EndMod from Performance Shifter, Achilles' Heel chance for -res, and Miracle's +Recovery.

I also removed Air Burst as apparently, a 2% increase in Knockup was enough to change it to knockback against level 50s. I placed common IOs in its place.

My preliminary run was good. I survived against Arachnos at +0/x8 until I accidentally aggroed 2 spawns that were level 51. It's a vast improvement over my previous build that was sitting at 39% melee defense and 33% ranged because I didn't have to sacrifice as many powers as I did with the old build.

It's something she's been clamoring for a long, long time. But everyone knows only Ghost Widow is allowed animated hair, and it'd be par for the course that only villains get animated hair when/if it does show up to add to their dramatic effect. Dramatic hair to go with their "muahahaha" or some such and all that.

Oh don't misinterpret where I stand on this argument. I don't care whether they call themselves 51 or Death Ponies. I know what they mean when they advertise themselves as level 51.

I just found it ridiculous to ask for proof of a level 51 player having more HP than a level 50. For 49 level ups, you gained more HP, a new power or new slots and your powers' base damage went up. So a level 51 will naturally have all of that happen too, not just some parts of it.

And entities that do go past level 50, NPCs, have more HP at level 51 than 50.

Why not buy them from the nurse in RWZ? Would be a lot closer than Ouro.

I've always preferred Apex to Tin Mage, Boobcat is one of the many reasons why that's so.

  9. My favorite and fondest character was my first 50, my Dual Blades/Electric Brute. Back then, there was no self heal and I was only using non-set IOs and I was still having fun. She's a whirling dervish of chaos and fun. It helps that the concept is so off the wall, a demon warrior priestess (not princess!) that preaches and "enjoys" battle before Silver Mantis became famous for it. So when I get on RP teams with her, it's an absolute blast from start to finish. My most fun recent memory with her was running an In Character Apex a week after i19 came out (that we still finished successfully in 38 minutes). Everyone was gelling, the heroes spatting out disagreements, the villains showing a disappointing lack of devotion to battle. All in non-stop combat too. Battle Maiden was nothing more than a speed hump to the RP.

Oh, I also love my Necromancy/Trick Arrow. A lot of resummoning, no doubt, but tons of fun. Do I wish TA had better numbers on Masterminds? Sure, but I don't let insignificant numbers get in the way of fun.

As I learned recently myself, Achilles' Heel proc will not stack from any source. Once a mob has it, it will never go above -20% from the proc even if it's 8 Rad Blast Corruptors with the proc in all of their powers. Since the mechanic from the proc is that the source is the target itself, and not the player.

Preach it! My first main and also first 50 was a Dual Blades/Electric Armor brute. I played mostly on, sometimes off from the release of City of Villains on. I never got any character to 50. Issue 11 comes out and I've got my first 50 before issue 12 comes out. All due to having a blast with Dual Blades and Electric Armor (before it had Energize) without even taking Aid Self. Hell, back then I didn't even bother with IO sets so no soft capping either. But I had so much fun with that character (despite having tried Super Strength and Energy Melee).
  12. As I just found out completely by mistake and completely irritating:

    Necromancy:

-Soul Extraction: It can go off non-necromancy entities with absolutely no effect but still prompting its cooldown. Case in point; Oil Slick. I had set it on fire, and by misclicking (well mouse has been funky lately, the click on me targetting a Grave Knight did not go through) and firing off Soul Extraction while still having the (now dead) Oil Slick targeted. It's a minor bug no doubt (in 50 levels I just encountered it today through user error), but it shows a lack of polish. Thankfully the pets from Traps don't stick around after expiring.

I've been living in the U.S. for 17 years and only knew spunk as a positive adjective. You know, full of life, energetic. It wasn't until this thread that spunk having a vastly different meaning even crossed my mind.
  14. My Jester Dominator took Jump Kick and uses it because it fits so well with the Jester theme.

  16. Well it's a disappointing answer. I was hoping to make up for a Mastermind's anemic TA numbers with that single proc. Oh well, I guess it was a good dream while it lasted . Thanks to both of ya.
  17. Ahh, so whether it's my Grave Knights or myself, it doesn't matter?
  18. So I have a question on procs, specifically on Achilles Heel chance for -Resistance. I know it won't stack from the same power (say if a Rad corruptor slotted it on Neutrino Bolt), but will it stack from the same player/entity?

I am on the process of IOing out my Necromancer/Trick Arrow Mastermind and there's a few places I can place it. On my Grave Knights, as all of their melee attacks debuff Defense. though that's already a definite slot/IO choice. But I've also set my eyes on Acid Arrow and Oil Slick Arrow. If I place it on both and they both go off on the boss, will the boss suffer an extra -40% or only -20% from a single application?

I know that Oil Slick being a pseudo pet might complicate things a little. So if they do stack, I'd imagine it's from the pseudo pet status of OSA, but let's go back to the Radiaton Blast corruptor, if he were to add a second -Resistance proc to X-Ray beams, will it stack from the Neutrino Bolt or no, because it's from the same player?
  19. I'm more or less on the same boat as Ironik.

The only difference being that I like the current end game design from a mechanics point of view. But the storyline could be better. How about a more villainous lean on it for once? Yes yes it's a story of survival as Cole doesn't care whether you're heroic or villainous, but they tend to have an overall heroic theme. Let's say they do 10 co-op SFs, make at least 3 of 'em be more evil than good. Let's call it a necessary action for the greater good, more lives said in whatever way.

  22. Wasn't there some loud clamoring about how hard the Rogue PPD are when the heroes finally got to face the PPD? I could have sworn that was when it was proven fact that redside is tougher than blue.
  23. I think my safest bet would be to simply use Spanish. Unless it's those weirdo Spaniards with their weirdo Spanish.
  24. Lich would benefit more from HOs than IOs. His primary function is control, not damage. Between his fear, hold, immobilize, and knock back, he'll be too busy using his Dark Blast (only pure damage attack) and Life Drain. So I'd use a mix of Acc/Mez, Dmg/Mez, or Acc/Dmg. Unless you're slotting specifically for set bonuses.
  25. Trick Arrow:

Pets treat your Oil Slick fire as an enemy effect, sending them fleeing in terror. This is most noticeable with melee pets (zombies, ninjas). Very annoying, and at times very dangerous since they'll flee to high heaven and back, drawing aggro from surrounding groups.
