I don't know if it's much consolation, but I see a lot more pictures of you with other Con-goers than I did of those with the contest winners. That may be selective memory on my part as I got to meet you personally and Braxx & I instigated what turned into the flurry of photos with you & Ms Liberty.

I try. Also, I'm patient (as was pointed out to me while I was soloing a tanker in Crey's Folly in the very early days of the game.)

Still... I believe BaBs & the other devs have surprised us with enough time-intensive projects to suggest that this dev team is capable of working on things we want so bad it hurts & also keeping mum about it. If Sunstorm loves what he does as much as BaBs does his bailiwick, then bases will get some lovin' & eventually we'll see it. Hopefully it'll be sooner than later, but I guess that will depend on what they try to tackle.

One thing some of us learned at the Con was that BaBs squeezes in things when he can. It's not unreasonable to extrapolate that others might do the same. A number of BaB's "secret projects" were not discussed on the boards until they went into Beta. As a result, we were spared much of the foolishness that goes on when something is "announced" and then doesn't show up immediately, in perfect condition, with a pretty bow on top. I appreciate that. I like nice surprises too.

This might be happening with bases too. Or it might not. You'll find out one day. Wait for it. Bathe in the awesome when it's your time.

Also, while it might be understandable, being envious or put out when someone else gets a shiny is petty & unbecoming. It's also a pretty good way of ensuring dissatisfaction and unhappiness. Folks should do themselves a favor & not go there.

I'm a big fan of captioning pics! Sometimes they help me remember an occasion, other times it's just fun making something up that suits the picture. And then there are the times when I just blather.

There aren't nearly as many as I'd have liked ("durnit* Meg!"), but here are some of the pics I did take.

BTW: I'm not sure if you see the same stuff I do along the top of the picture (vs the thumbnails), but if you do, then towards the middle you should see a magnifying lens with the words "All Sizes" next to it. If you click that button, you'll be directed to a page with a number of size options available & the image likely displayed in the "Large" size, or whatever the largest size available is. I've found this handy for getting closer looks at details. If you do have access to this feature, you should be able to check my interpretation for accuracy.

I hear sleeping in cars will do that to you.
