I find myself wondering whether anybody has ever actually tried to estimate its size, other than "big". I mean, we know (or at least can measure, thanks to in-game character height) the approximate size of its teeth, thanks to a couple of the mission maps; assuming that it's physically similar to a shark, it should be possible to extrapolate its full size from that information.
. . . I think of strange things when the power goes out at home, and the strange things don't always go away after the power comes back on. -

I'm wondering if it's just me, or a client error, or if the staff is SUPPOSED to make an oddly . . . organic sound effect during the draw animation. It sounds more like something I'd expect to hear from Spines and less like a regular weapon being readied.

A few months back, a number of players--myself included--reported a very annoying bug wherein any "undocked" windows, such as the Inspiration window, moved randomly around the screen each time a character changed zones. I seem to be encountering the issue again following I22's release, and I'm wondering if I'm the only one or if others are again running into this?

Quote:Oh, lord, why did I never see this one? It must have been spectacularEspecially its use in someone's AE arc, which featured a faction composed entirely of hoverbots and drones, entitled, "Explosions: a film by Michael Bay." He was, of course, the contact.
I've also noticed that anybody (not just WP-bearing characters) who receives Mystic Fortune does the Dragon's Tail animation. I'm considering linking it to a macro that says "Your fortune predicts breakdancing." -

Quote:I'm actually kind of on board for this idea. Of course, I'm also on board with the idea of Psyche jumping into Darrin Wade and jacking up his plans during the grand finale. I was discussing that notion with a friend, and suddenly realized that if that did happen, then Psyche would be stuck in Wade's body. Cue the yaoi fans making disturbingly happy noises and running off to draw PsyWade/Manticore fan-art. But wait! She just has to unlock the right option in the Market, and then she can just go to the tailor and change the body to female! The only possible way I can see myself "forgiving" the writing-slash-railroading we see in SSA 6 is if somehow Sister Psyche is now mind-riding Justin/Manticore ... so that even if her original BODY is dead, just like Mother Mayhem's was/is, Sister Psyche is still very much "alive" in mind and spirit, and just merely in need of a willing "host" body to continue living in (like both Aurora Borealis-es on Primal and Praetoria). Of course, that would be a really *WEIRD* thing to have happen to Justin/Shalice, where they wind up being united in mind, body and spirit like that ... but it's not IMPOSSIBLE given the way things are turning out.
Then my friend suggested that, instead, Manticore could just swipe a few Tilmanrora clones from the "Minds of Mayhem" trial for Psyche to puppeteer around. I instantly got the mental image of Justin Sinclair, wearing about half of a tuxedo, lying in a humongous bed with a harem of a half-dozen PraetorPsyches, holding a glass of champagne and talking about how unbelievably awesome his sex life is now that he can have seven-ways and still be completely faithful to his wife.
His insufferable smirk and jaunty pose would almost certainly look a lot like this: http://www.historyguy.com/comicshist...lk_starfox.jpg -

Running on beta tonight, both I and my friend noticed, in a Safeguard mission, that the "drop" effect also turns up upon seeing "The bank is being robbed!" and "The robbers are getting away!" messages. It's as if the game's treating almost any such message as a "reward drop". It's not a gamebreaker by any means, but it's definitely annoying . . . there's clearly SOME problem with the coding going on.

Whenever the Secondary Mutation power activates (either via click or as an auto), in addition to its usual sound effect, it now also gives the coin-like "ping" sound normally associated with receiving a reward drop (salvage, enhancement, etc). I hope this wasn't intentional; it's distracting at best, and annoying at worst.
-
Follow Through clears Momentum, but the power doesn't activate.
This doesn't happen *every* time I try to activate Follow Through, but it happens frequently enough to be very noticeable and very annoying, especially when facing multiple enemies. It gets a bit harder to smack them around when I keep having to rebuild Momentum.
Has anyone else noticed this happening? (If this has already been reported, apologies for the extra thread.) -
I feel the world would be better for more "Jonathan Ghaly: Two-Fisted Invincible Civilian Detective" stories. Bravo, MrCaptainMan!

Please help me to silence the sound from Healing Aura/Twilight Grasp/Warmth. The high pitched ZING and the followup sound wobble. Tremendously annoying while playing a /Dark MM and spamming Twilight Grasp. Also very annoying on my /Empathy Controller. Definately gives me a headache trying to heal my fire monkeys. Thanks in advance.

I'm still hunting for the Warmth sound myself. I get the feeling it's a combination of sounds, but I don't seem to have the knack of sorting them out and testing properly to find the correct ones. -
Help. Please. Before I go mad and just start laughing hysterically while sobbing as teammates drop dead.
If anyone has been able to identify the sound effect for "Warmth", please let me know what it is. Given that the sound becomes progressively louder and more aggravating the more people are within healing range, the less inclined my corruptor is to use it. -

I think we are missing one very WEIRD aspect of the new comic and if it is not addressed in this thread I threaten to start a new thread just on this issue.
Statesman gets mad when the others free him from the Vahs and Crey who are whupping his butt.
Statesman said it was helping him meditate. This is cut and dried folks. Statesman is a masochist. That's a fact. He's going to be dating Pin-Head in the next issue. I GOR-ONE-TEE.
[/ QUOTE ]
You know, that was the first thing I thought when I saw that. "Statesman's into some seriously kinky stuff!"
Then, having obviously failed to leave a spiffy holographic note ("Dear Team, I have gone to get some strict discipline from Mistress Cynthia, will be back soon."), he chews out his "friends" who came to get him out of his predicament.
The biggest turn-off for me so far has definitely beenn the first issue's "We're superheroes! Oops, now we aren't!" and the second issue's shark-jumptastic "oh look, gods". It takes most comic series a while to reach that point. -
If I were any happier about this, I'd need a wet-nap. No, seriously. Even though reading this thread has reminded me why I dislike the rabid PvPers (and the ultra-snotty high-end twedges and the power-mongering dribble machines) as much as I dislike any fanatical, extremist fringe group.
I'm sure that my entire team will be much happier when this goes live. Not a single night goes by that they don't hear the refrain over TeamSpeak: "I'm held/stunned/sleeping, you're on your own for heals! Why can't I use Clear Mind on myself! (Insert colossal spate of vicious profanity.)" Maybe now their tender ears will get some relief from my uncontrollable longshoreman-like cursing as I watch my poor defender stand there with amusing status-effect animations twinkling about her head like a halo of pure hate. I will be able to peek around the corner at a Malta Group Ops Officer without saying a dirty word! I will peer ahead and glimpse a Carnie Illusionist without blaspheming! I will witness the approach of a Crey Cryo Tank without making paint peel off the wall! JOY!!!
(It's been suggested far too many times already, but I must also offer support for the idea of adding this perk to existing Discipline inspirations.) -

man, some people just cant appreciate new content if its not specifically what they want in their wildest dreams. i'll bet if cryptic made jesus pop out of the game when you hit level 15 you'd complain about a grind too!

I can guarantee that five seconds after that was implemented, there'd be a huge flame post on the boards by some politically-correct meathead screaming that Allah, Buddha, and Yahweh didn't also pop out, which clearly indicates that Cryptic is run by extreme right-wing Christian conservatives . . .
Followed five seconds later by a rabid feminazi type shrieking her skull off that Athena, Brighid, and Kuan Yin are also significantly missing so this obviously means that Cryptic is run entirely by male chauvinist pigs . . .
Followed five seconds later by an enraged atheist protesting the inclusion of any religious entities whatsoever . . .
You get the idea.
