Of all the secondaries you have there, I'm actually less interested in the majority of "animals" (despite having an old concept that would take it) and would actually prefer the body morphing one-- even to go so far as propose it be a "melee-oriented" blaster powerset, though it would work better for the usual SCR, TNK, BRU, STK.

The thing with the animal forms is that you potentially have three or more different attack animations for each power in the set, thanks to the fact that one animal hardly attacks similar to another. Body morphing has better potential to get around that, in my opinion.

The other one I'd like to see is the dragon one, but they need to provide better costume options for dragons other than just the wings and that one head.
  2. I'll have to check mine tomorrow, since I'm done playing for the night, but I'm happy to hear people got some tokens.

    Shrinking to fit

We already have good scaling from 4' to the current PC cap, but I dunno what the stretch would be to lower or raise those numbers. Shouldn't be... that much of a change, should it?

    Shrinking to fit

    Classic team window > new.

But to get back on topic, here, I guess I should have put lowering the height cap on the regular body types as a third, since that did cross my mind... more than the two I actually posted. I've heard before somewhere from someone about the devs expressing the possibility problems with it, but I like to see it as "look at all the stuff we have now that we never thought we could see five issues ago?"

This is probably not the most challenging thing that I'd like to see in game, anyway. *coughduplicationmastermindcough*

    Shrinking to fit

Been trying to come up with a new concept recently for a small-sized character, but I end up staring at the height scaler and thinking four feet isn't small enough for what I really want to do. I also know at least one character that's supposed to change size and shrink to the size of a button. So, I'm deciding to throw in a suggestion for ways to get the concept of size-changing to a smaller height into CoH. Even got two ways to maybe go about it!

    1. A toggle power that allows the character to decrease his/her size and increase manuverability and evasion. This could come with a penalty of a decrease in damage output and increase in damage taken if hit. Alternatively, you could scrap combat effectiveness and cause powers to suppress during. ...Oh, and we can buy from the Market for some amount of points. (Then again, CO has temp and permanent shrinking (and growing!) device items. This might be a bit of a copy.)

    2. A "small" body type that can be purchased from the Market. It would work like the three body types we have now, but only scale between 1 and 4 feet. Possibly not usable on character creation, but can be accessed from the Superscience tailor.

I figure that it's a matter of scaling and adjusting hitboxes and whatnot (prolly more complicated with the first rather than the second), but it's my thinking it'd be easier to work down rather than try to break the ceiling with the opposite and nigh-inseperable concept of a growth serum.

    Yea? Nay?
  6. I'm getting my vet token two weeks late in this way.

I'm locked in to January yet, so if I decide to not re-sub on 01/15 (highly likely given my financial situation at the moment), do I not get the award token that should be awarded on the 01/28?
  7. To each their own, really. Even though this is a private group, the fact they're allowing the public to participate in their events (where other groups would rather focus on building their stories internally among the group) is a huge step I would rather applaud.

Of course, I have other opinions, but the world would be better served if I kept them to myself.
  8. I'm hoping to hear something, too. I was actually thinking about this contest again the other day.

Needs to happen before I'm forced to get a cut!

EDIT: Sent a PM to the MMORPG board's OP for the contest asking about it. Hopefully it doesn't result in my disqualification. :P
  9. So if I, as an example, lapse from a billing date of the 10th to the 12th, then my token would come on the 30th instead of the 28th?

It would be better to just resync to the billing dates, as the devs were telling us the reward tokens would be from the beginning.

If that points purchase wasn't your first or didn't break the cumulative 1200, you won't get one.

Sent my tic, response was the same confirmation of the 28th for monthly tokens. I replied with some more questions to feel out the situation, and thinking of more even now to send off when I get to a proper comp.

    2. It would also mean that absolutely no one should have gotten a new token before the 28th, and that doesn't seem to be the case.
But, people have been, as a result of buying points from the store/account management. That's WAI: think of the furor we'd be having if that was broken, too.

The more I hear of this 28th talk, the more I think that will be the case, though I still plan to send something to Support tonight and see what I get from there.

(But, then, if I subbed at Head Start's opening, could be even longer... but I can wait and see.)

    I need inf!

Ah, darn. Good luck with that backlog! Maybe I'll keep hoping for a new chance...
  13. Zwill indeed has a hard job trying to go to bat for us, especially for something of this magnitude.

I'll be sending a tic tomorrow pending what I see then, since I doubt I'll be able to log on tonight. (Posting from a handheld FTW!)

    I need inf!

    Ahem.

When it's not three in the morning and I can use something other than my DSi to post...

    ...I'll be contacting you.
  15. Aww, I missed a good one. Here's hoping you do some more stuff like this in the future, so I can get in on it.

PS: Whoa. Never thought I'd see Ocean normal again. I'm a big fan of that character.
  16. OK. Just to get my calculation out there:
The one everyone gets = 1 token
Retail purchase credit = 1 token, once. I bought Architect Edition and Going Rogue.
    18 months veteran time = 6 tokens
    1 year award = 1 token

I started out with 9 tokens, 8 of which were placed to fill out the table to Tier 4, and one that I placed in the vanity pet slot in the T5 line. I wouldn't have a Sept. token because I didn't play, so that is fair.

    1200 points purchased = 1 token
First time customer bonus! = 1 token

Those two are unused as of yet, but bought between my renewal and the end of my VIP cycle.

So the only one I'm missing is the token for Sept.-Oct. 13th.
  17. Better chime in here.

I resubscribed to the game on the 13th September, the day Freedom went on the VIP Head Start, buying a three month run of time. In addition to being granted the rewarded and placed tokens up to T4 (which I expected), I also had one token extra, which I presume was for either the September cycle or the veteran award that I did not log in to claim from before I went on hiatus a month and half before.

Since then, the only tokens I have received are a total of 2, from a first purchase of 1200 points. (one for the points themselves and one for having using the store to buy points for the first time). So I may not have my September token and my October one is, as of now, three days late.

My point stipend, however, was awarded as intended.

    Hoping this is fixed soon.
  18. (And that's too early for me. Hope it goes well, at least, since there are some people I know in this SG.)
  19. Just broke again this evening.

I was working on a mission edit with one character and it was fine. I log into another to attempt to publish it and play it, and the error is there. Going to edit another mission that seems fine also causes it to come up with the error and become unpublishable.

    *shrug*
  20. I've run into this as well in an arc (one I happened to transfer over to Live from Beta) or two, and /bugged it myself, but it's good to know what's going on rather than me running around like a head-cut-off chicken trying to plan what to do if it's not fixed by the time I want to run the thing.
  21. I've tried to convince my friend who introduced me to the game originally, but I don't think he's interested in playing now he has another MMO to play. Ah well.

My cousin, however, might. I'll try to teach him how to RP.
  22. Alright, this is the best timing. Just got resubscribed for this, but I have a couple questions...

    1. Since this is the head start, we're not being awarded the points that were accrued from June?
    2. Because I just reupped today (as in half an hour ago)... I don't happen to get any of the bonuses, do I?

Other than that, yay! Happy Freedom.
  23. Did end up making the event, but everything major must have happened while I was AFK (can't be denied food, after all). I could probably venture a guess as to what may have happened with great accuracy, but I'm not about to make any assumptions here and I'll keep any of my thoughts about that and other things to myself.

I did, however, have a nice RP with one of the remaining folks that was in the Midnighter's when I came back, so in short, the event was a minor success for me.
  24. I may peek in to this, but I'll see how it goes.
