I only have one thing to say:

"All your base are belong to us"

    Pffffffffft....

If you think that is old then you probably haven't even reached legal drinking age yet.

The point was classic memories of games now forgot, and I just couldn't believe noone mentioned the above classic.

And if you must know, I'm 23. No I'm nowhere near old enough to fit into the category everyone else is claiming in this thread, but I'm sure as heck not 11.
  3. I only have one thing to say:

"All your base are belong to us"
  4. The difference is:
1: Keeping the forums organized so everyone can find the info they're looking for.
2: You're far more likely to get the feedback you're looking for by posting in the appropriate forum (in this case the archtype/powers general discussion or the corruptor sections)
3: Topics in the guides section do not roll off the forums, so inappropriate posts for the guides section sit on the server waisting space untill a mod catches it and deletes it.

EDIT: also, you might want to make your new post with a short forum export instead of the long one. The short export is immensely easier to read.

OK, Just so everyone here know:
I am starting work on adding this new Standardization setup to the CoH_CoV Character Builder. Now, this may take a bit, but I will get it out as soon as I can.

The question I have for those here:
Other than just updating for this new format (other than the current BI) how / what methods for displaying the information would you like to see ?

Please send any ideas / Requests you might have to:

Good to hear sherk. I love your builder. Can't wait for the next version.
  6. Ah, i didn't realize that only worked from the chat line. bummer. I'll have to try it. Good thing my binds are in short folders.
  7. I'd say just post a link named "Getting your coordinates unconfused" in the guide to guides. It would have meaning on more than one level
  8. Actually, I discovered that you can use long filenames with spaces. you just have to quote the folder path like so:

    /bind_load_file "c:\program files\city of heroes\my binds\testing the bind length.txt"

it's worked for me. I don't think many people know this. The guides I've read said the same thing you did. Try it
  9. LOL, in that case should The Nightling Fury ever not be able to recall a friend, I'll know it's because the devs saw this thread J/K. Ah, forgot to mention, nice guide you have here. Now, here's the bind I use for tp, etc:

    tp_off.txt
    Lalt "+ $$powexecname recall friend$$bindloadfile c:\coh\fury\tp_on1.txt"
    Lalt+LBUTTON nop

    tp_on1.txt
    Lalt "- $$powexecunqueue$$bindloadfile c:\coh\fury\tp_off.txt"
    Lalt+LBUTTON "+ $$bindloadfile c:\coh\fury\tp_on2.txt"

    tp_on2.txt
    Lalt+LBUTTON "- $$powexecname recall friend$$bindloadfile c:\coh\fury\tp_on1.txt"

When you get in game you load tp_off.txt first to setup the bind. Then, if you hold lalt recall friend is activated, the targetting reticle appears, and tp_on1.txt is loaded. If you let go, recall friend is unqued and tp_off.txt is reloaded. If you click while you had been holding lalt, recall friend is activated and the friend is teleported. As long as you hold lalt, you have a targetting reticle.

Replace "recall friend" with the power of your choice, be it teleport, teleport foe, recall friend, pet_com goto (I think that's the right command for that one), group teleport, or anything else with a targetting reticle.

Want it to toggle instead of holding? remove the +'s and -'s. Also, this is a direct copy from my bind files. This shows that you can use - instead of + and it'll work exactly the same. Try it
  10. Another note. In your guide you state that you need a space after the + to make press and release functionality work. Thus you need "+ $$". My binds all use "+$$" and work just fine. I hold the key, bind activates. I let go, bind activates again. Though my binds use the various shift keys (shift, ctrl, alt) so maybe it's not the case for text keys. I'll have to do some testing.
  11. I'd like to note that the various versions of the teleport binds can also be used for recall friend, teleport foe, and telling MM pets to go somewhere. Any power that brings up the targetting reticle.

The 3 file bind that I use is setup as follows: When I hold the left shift key the targetting reticle appears. If I let go of the left shift key it disappears. If I had clicked while holding the left shift key I would teleport to the targetted location. When I appear, I still have a target if I'm holding the left shift key.

My bind can be modified to allow toggle mode aswell easily enough. I'll post it later (after I've read through the guide to make sure you don't already have it). The point I really just wanted to make was that it can be used for the above mentioned functions. My defender uses it for recall friend.
  12. Why the h*ll are you posting this in the guide forum? along with EVERYOTHER forum too no less?
  13. Another nice way to pull is if you have a Fire controller in the group (yep, that's me). We can basically blind the enemies with smoke. The even a martial arts scrapper (a good friend of mine) can pull singles, if they're not standing right by each other. It also works great on vahz. With smoke we can take out the morts/reaps/etc without the idiot minions noticing.
