ROFL. When I read this it played in my head as Hugo Weaving's voice...

The bling on my belt, too much?

    [/ QUOTE ]

He does have quite a blinging belt in that shot. Goes well with that 70's V-neck robe, I must say. How the heck did that guy end up with the council?
  3. Duh! What part of "sudden death" didn't you understand?

((sorry... just saw balls of fury... and unfortunately those are spines sticking out of him. Spines/Dark scrappers are a bit messy in combat.))
  4. I capped this wicked cool action shot from that Ming the Merciless wannabe, Maestro, just the other day.

But its missing something... a whitty quip, quote, a little pizzaz... so please... if you can think of a good one, lets hear it.
  5. Hmm...

Should mention that Mineral Armor also grants +perception. That's an important factoid for dealing with stealth and perception debuffs like smoke grenades, etc.

Also, Crystal Armor is missing in your primary power pool list in your first post.
  6. Marisa's costume in game is killer... wish I had thought of something like that.

Her real life costume is definatly incredible. The Belt and Shoulderpads are a bit cheesily made, but the rest more than makes up for it.

    Severe Kudos are in order.
  7. But they were fully empowered to cause a raid to fail before this change happened. They are no more or less powerful with regards to causing a raid to fail.

Everyone can agree that the Hamiden is lame post 50 content requiring rediculously large teams to perform successfully over a very long time of boring activity and creating demands so harsh that the graphics requirements are impossible to satisify.

The real problem is the Hamiden itself is lame and boring to kill.

I really don't think the AOE beam that can fire when held hurts as much as people are crying about it. Griefers can break up a raid if they want to, regardless of the change. Roll it back, and every raid that would have failed because a greifer exploited the beam would still fail because the griefer just lures in a GM.

If it introduced griefing into the Hami-Raid, it would be a big deal. Suddenly a situation that couldn't be griefed can. But since griefing a Hami-Raid already happens, and can be accomplished easily by any AT (regardless of if they have a taunt power), this change won't and doesn't increase griefing.
  8. Congratulations!

Expect a corruptor nerf next patch!
  9. Well, you can't do anything about an entire team of retards... that's insurmountable... but I doubt if that were the case that you'd get past the mito phase with them around dragging GM's into the frey and nuking your ISS and Taunt teams during the Mito phase.

I suppose the sick bastards could get a kick out of waiting till Hami was way under control before doing that, but even before this change, they could still drag GM's into the hold team during the phase. Now it's only slightly more convienient. *shrugs* You can't do anything about jerks, recent changes or not.

The point I'm making is you're not going to get an influx of griefers just because of this change. They've only got a new option in nuking a raid, not a new motive. They've always been empowered to break up a raid at any time by luring in GM's... so whats the BFD?
  10. I get it.

But your hold team has healing, dispertion field for Mez protection, and heals going off like mad, and thier own taunt team with more taunter's than the one greifer. One stray shot isn't going to nuke the hold team.

*added* It will take a talented griefer with great timing to get multiple successive shots into the hold team to be successful. It's not easy when the griefer is competing with a taunt team, under laggy conditions, and unable to see Hami rendered to time the taunts to it's attacks.

This topic is a ball of complainers and whiners crying about how Hamiden has changed. I only know of two attempted raids on Virtue since I7 dropped and both failed only due to a lack of participation. It hasn't been tried enough times for this to be much other than whining.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Gee aren't we swell? Going against the game mechanics and making Hami attack while held makes no sense. It adds nothing to the challenge. Only makes it a gamble of whether or not he is held. As well as opens raids up to griefers during the attack phase to get the hold team wiped out and cause a pop and failure. So how about you take your smug [censored] attitude elsewhere?

    [/ QUOTE ]

I'm just saying it wasn't even a week after I7 drops before everyone claims these changes have broken the game. Yet you find plenty of people who have rationally attacked Hamiden since the change, and succeeded, claiming it's no more or less difficult... the tactics to defeat him haven't changed... it just takes longer to do on something that's already boring to do in the first place.

Oh... and comments about it being easier to grief doesn't hold that much weight to me. Even before the changes, idiots could bring GM's into the ISS group or hold team anyway. People could Taunt Hami away before... that's left unchanged and no more or less easy to wipe the ISS out prior to the hold phase... The only difference is griefers can now exploit the hold phase. Yay. How about spreading out the hold team around Hami? Your taunt team should be taking the majority of the agro anyway. And why doesn't your taunt team win that battle more often than the one griefer?

So far I haven't heard of a griefer griefing since the Hami changed, only hypotheticals of how much easier it would be. I'd like to see evidence that a griefer really can demolish the hold team in a way that wasn't previously possible just because Hami can fire while held before I pass judgement.
  12. Earlier someone made a comment that the lamest change the devs have ever made was allowing Hami to shoot his lazer while held. I have to contend that making a regen power which not only prevents regeneration but DRAINS health was the lamest change ever made...

    But I digress...

This topic is a ball of complainers and whiners crying about how Hamiden has changed. I only know of two attempted raids on Virtue since I7 dropped and both failed only due to a lack of participation. It hasn't been tried enough times for this to be much other than whining.

Yes, Hami raids are not fun. They haven't been for a long time. They are in some cases 3-4 hours worth of work for the potential to get something completely useless - yet something about him keeps bringing people in to farm him consistantly (once a day).

The devs, in thier infinite wisdom, seem to think Hamiden wasn't unfun enough because the raids were usually successful. Clearly Hami needed to be more demoralizing to their player base because people were still bothering to log in and play thier level 50's for a chance to get a piece of Hami-O goodness.

The fact is the only thing that will tell our developer's they screwed up is if they stop getting money. You wan't Hami fixed or hero-like heroes who haven't been hit so hard with a nerf bat that they are cripples? It'll only happen when subscriptions plummet. Whining and crying on this forum will do you no good.

Hami-Raids have stopped on Virtue and there haven't been any real attempts to organize them again. The best message that can be sent to the Devs is to flat out ignore the Hive and stop playing your 50. I heard recently that post 50 content for the hero side was a priorty for developers post I7. Lets hope this will bring in a new TF that does rival the Recluse SF.

And I know there's a conflict of interest for your hero... here's this huge thing growing that theatens to take out the city but you know what? It's too tedious to bother killing soooo.... lets just leave it alone? It's just a big floaty ball of jello anyway... and there's always room for jello in a city.
  13. Jury selection began today in the trial of Tyrone X as more alleged victims crawl out from every corner of society. Rumors of abuse and corruption seem to follow Tyrone everywhere he goes today. Hero Corps has placed him on indefinate suspension and his closest collegues and contacts, like Haley Phillips of Skyway City, feel Tyrone may be "a loose cannon".

New allegations from the strange counter culture known as the "Lost" claim Tyrone used illegal search without a warrant when he raided thier warehouse one week ago.

When asked about these new allegations, Tyrone's lawyers declined to comment.

Tyrone is now sidelined by Hero Corps policies and a new masked hero has burst on the scene: Rasta Mon. Witnesses say Rasta Mon has busted a series of criminals in wake of Tyrone's absense.

When asked what Tyrone thought of Rasta Mon filling the void created by his suspension, Tyrone replied "You think Tyrone being sidelined is gonna make him loose a step? (N-word) please! Tyrone will be back and badder than before and they won't be rememberin' no Rasta Mon."

Rasta Mon's sudden burst of celebrity on the hero scene has left many wondering why they hadn't heard of him sooner. He is the same height, weight, and has the same powers of Tyrone leading many conspiracy theorists to believe that Rasta Mon and Tyrone are one in the same. If this were to be proven true, it could mean terrible things for the Tyrone X camp with their pending trial.
  14. Tyrone X is currently under investigation by the Hero Corps internal affairs division for use of excessive force in the apprehension of criminals. A grand jury has found that there is enough evidence to bring this case to trial. The Paragon Gazette has obtained these exclusive photos to be used as evidence against Tyrone:

    Exhibit A
As you can see from this photo, Tyrone's use of this Hellion's own sledgehammer has effectively turned this man into a eunuch.

    Exhibit B
A far too common scene in Tyrone's criminal busts. Many victims have been hung and left for display. This is cruel and unusual.

    Exhibit C
This Abomination will never walk again.

Despite the viciousness of these attacks, Tyrone has many supporters. Laquanda Jones of Kings Row says "Thems (Hero Corps) are a bunch a racists. They just tryin' to keep a good brotha down. We be needin' a brotha like him to keep the 'dine of the streets and keep our kids safe."

Brutal Vigilante or Righteous Hero? Will Tyrone be found innocent or guilty? Can Paragon City survive another Hero incarceration? Haunting questions on the virge of a potential Rogue Island invasion. And what might happen should Hero rights be infringed upon and greater caution be used in not harming the villains they are apprehending? Will the powers that be pass and enact the nerf law codenamed "Issue 7" in the wake of this political nightmare?
  15. The bind structure is very similar to the old quake engine bindings.

In quake, you could configure aliases (which equate to macros in COH) to do specific things on the key press and release. I wonder if the same is true in COH.

What I mean is you it may be possible to do something like this:

    /macro +float "powexec_name Hover"
    /macro -float "powexec_name Hover"
    /bind q +float

Then when you hit the bound key it would execute +float on the key press and -float on the key release. Could someone verify this?
