IH and MoG were nerfed because regen scrappers were SOLOING +3 MONSTERS.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Clarify that please. Spines and Dark regens were doing that because of the debuffs from their primaries. (Slow and -acc respectively). Those debuffs caused them to take fewer hits. At the height of my Kat/Regens power (read: able to tank Hami) giant monsters were not soloable for me. Nerfs to Regen after issue 4's release were in direct response to PvP issues. not PvE

Phase shift was nerfed because it was being used for herding.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Phase shift just didnt hold aggro long enough for herding. In PvP, phased Illusion controllers were using phase along with Phantom Army to win matches at no risk to themselves.

Logic dictates the motivators behind those nerfs.

As far as hurricane goes, I personally dont use it very often in PvE. Artic Air is a much more effective power. When I do use hurricane its to 'corner' minions while I deal with boss mobs. If I ever PvP with that toon, hurricane would be the more useful power.

For instance, there are issues with Defense builds; we’re going to look at that problem more carefully (the Damage Resistance Inspirations are a step, but there's a little more to come).

Thanks for all your great feedback!

What about the 'no-defence' set.. Regen?
  3. Thanks Positron!

Dev feedback on why ideas presented here won't work is greatly appreciated.

Hopefully the contact check for souvenirs will pan out.
  4. How about a compromise then? if you dont want to allow petitioning for those badges, then fine. Instead make a 'check' contact in the Shard that checks the current character for the necessary souveneers and awards the badges. This is a situation that you really should have foreseen given the past TF issues. So if it causes you some work to add said contact.. really too bad. Its simpler than datamining the entire DB and it doesnt overwhelm customer support with badge requests.

There are already level checks coded into the game (Hazard Zone gates for one). My suggestion above limits the search to people already in the zone (therefore of the proper level). Have the contact search the DB for the markers for those TF souveneers.

Necrosis, let me say that in this day and age anyone that doesnt create a way to sort primary values in a database makes acessing that database an unnecessarily gargantuan task. I'm giving the Devs the credit that they would make a way to access and sort their DB. Not making a sort by level option in a level-based game would be really really dumb dont you think?

While my suggestion may seem obvious it may be an approach not considered by the devs. (I'm giving them credit for being ordinary non-omniscient human beings.) Not evryone looks at a problem the same way, nor does everyone see an 'obvious' solution. It may well be that my suggestion has no merit. Thats not really for you to say. I, at least, was offering a helpful solution.

    Post smarter, not harder..

I'll pop in here so you guys have a new target.

The original Task Force Datamine took 3 months to finish. That was to go over 2 months worth of data.

We now have 18 months worth of data. We looked for a more effecient solution, but our estimates still come out at 2 years to datamine and get you your badges.

    [/ QUOTE ]

umm those TF's havent been around for 18 months, for the shard TF's there is a level requirement to get in the shard..

Limit the parameters to L40+ toons and only from the date of release of the shadow shard onwards.

Auto award the TF badge to anyone that has the souveneer and eliminate that toon for that particular search.

    work smarter not harder..

my question would be... since the souveneer would be a simple way to award that particular badge (i.e. if Shard tf 1 souveneer = 1 then Shard tf 1 badge = 1), then why are they no longer being awarded? I mean, after all, you still get the souveneers for other TF's.

Moonfire is much more redoable than the shard TF's. My worry is that since i got the shard TF souveneers, that if i redo the TF's , I wont be awared the badges. My defender only recently got the tranmorgified badge and 1st Terra Volta trial badges because I did it (and won respec) when they were first released, but the badge was broken. And only because I petitioned for it.
  6. This is a powerset I've been waiting for since I bought CoH over a year ago. On the whole I'm pleased with the set. It doesnt seem over powered when you compare it to other attack sets.

Ice has an inherent slow factor, Fire keeps doing damage over time, Energy has .. well energy (which many mobs in later levels dont have an inherent defence against), Electricity has end drain, semi-holds and a pet, Assault Rifle has a grab bag of secondary effects as well as doing high damage and an inherent acc to all powers.

Most of the Sonic Attack powers initially do minor to moderate damage, it lacks a low level AoE and many mobs are resistant to smashing damage in the high end game. When you hit a mob with a sonic power, he's still coming after you, his attacks dont slow down and he isnt any easier for your teammates to hit. Not having a Snipe power, while initially dismaying, makes sense with the nature of this power set and will help balance out the set vs mobs in the later levels.

The graphics seem fine as is.. after all, what color is sound anyways? The sound effects need an overhaul. As has been stated, either more gender neutral or a male and female specific set of sounds would be greatly appreciated.

All in all I look forward to playing this set.
  7. Updating the listing for the Sisterhood.

We will always try to be helpful to others and having fun is the main goal. We are selective about who we recruit. We have to have met and played with you. Good players, nice people and fun to team with are what we look for.[/list]

Have created a tab on my chat windows, created a channel, and can get tot he member listing. I have folks I have invited on there but it says you can invite SUpergroup members but Supergroup is not availabe, it is greyed out.

    [/ QUOTE ]

I dont know if this was answered yet or not, but in order to invite an entire SG to a channel, you must be the Leader of the SG and an operator on the channel. I havent tested it with captain level toons. An ordinary member of a SG cannot invite the whole SG to a channel. I see this as a good thing.
  10. one of the earliest mishs you do is to retrieve a crate (stolen from a Govt warehouse) from one of the villain factions. The number on the crate is the same as the number placed on the crate that the Arc of the Covenant is placed in in "Raiders of the Lost Arc." Once completed, your contact says something like "you didnt peek did you?" I also believe a mish has you rescue a Dr Jones, a university proffessor.
