I can't read japanese so I didn't find that very constructive.

Justice is a great server. You can up your post count without having people see your comments too.
PS. You should also ignore all the malcontents and nogoodniks on this server. They are only trying to make your life better. -
I think she'll have to get on trials that randomize the individual functions on each team in order to reduce any effect that a team function has on the leagues, if any. That applies more to Lambda than BAF.

Other than that. nuffin. -
I'm not sure if anyone needs to feel like "that special snowflake" but incarnate level powers have really skewed the game to the "see it - kill it - move" without very much variety.
This makes most ATs kind of pointless except the damage dealers, a tanker and the occasional heal. I am referring to the trials specifically but I've begun to notice things have gone from easy to ridiculous 'phone it in' as people have gotten their T3s and up with level shifts.
- Soft control: kind of pointless when defeat is the best debuff, which usually happens in seconds.
- Hard control: mostly pointless except to evade an alpha for a squishy or to prevent mob scatter.
- Buffers: mostly pointless now that anyone can grant PBAoE super defense or full mez protection
- Rains: You get off a second or two worth of DoT damage before someone fires off a judgement power.
- Long casting powers: no effect since someone rolls in before you can even get the power activated and blasts the mob to bits.
- Healing: see soft control.
- Immobile powers: long cast time, long recharge means they are left 2 mobs back the moment they are cast.
- Enemy toggles: Useless against anything except AVs since even EBs get crushed so fast it is barely needed.
- Non incarnate pets: mostly blown to bits by 54 enemy AoEs, slow to follow, [not counted for rewards?], general liability for run and gun teams
It looks like toons that have been great at damage, especially AoE and focused single target damage are where it's at for the late game, and the Incarnate powers just add to it. Fast firing damage dealers, crashless nukes and -regen -dr are about all you need now. -
How about 'yet another tray' that would show up with the trial temp powers only on it, once you acquire them? It would disappear once the powers are used or out of the trial instance.
That way it won't be buried in a huge power list or not show up in your tray at all if it already fully populated.
This would make the noobs see they have something that might be (critically) useful, and the vets who don't know what to do but have a full set of powers see they acquired something as well.
*temp tray would only have 2 slots -

http://www.virtualbox.org/ is free for non commercial use.
It's like parallels or vmware, so you may need more RAM, but since you didn't say how much you currently have I can't comment either way. -

Most of this should not surprise the devs because this is what you get when you introduce things without any instructions. Paragon Studios seriously needs to document the stuff they put out.
On the flip side, most people don't bother to read any instructions or warning labels. Reminds me of the time I went over to my buddy's house and saw a rickity IKEA shelf he put together, more a parallelogram than a rectangle.
I looked at the pile of unused parts and asked him what those were for. He said, "extras." We spent the afternoon undoing the shelf and using said "extras" that were detailed in the instructions, which included a 4' cross brace on the back. -

The whole LFG system being introduced without any instructions are a big cockup in itself.
This has been one of the biggest failings of CoX IMHO because documentation has always been sketchy in this game, which seems to stem from the way the game has been developed.
This means that bugs that have been squashed can come back, patch notes can be scarce, the game manual has never been revised since launch and new features and changes are supposed to be absorbed by osmosis. The help screens themselves can be hit or miss too.
The devs should state full out whether players are required to come to the forums or website for information and updates because I doubt a significant percentage of them do.
I never even noticed the tiny LFG part of my chat screen until someone pointed it out to me, and even then there wasn't any indication that that's where and how you start a league, join one and start a trial. I just thought it meant "Looking for Group."
Did they introduce any new pop help for the LFG stuff?
Heck, I still don't know what the colours mean in the searching for teammates screen since they changed it up. -

Quote:If that is your concept of leadership you're doing it wrong.Super heroes stand out. When the Hulk shows up to a fight, it means something. If there are 20 other Hulks there already, it doesn't mean much at all. These trials are designed so that you're not allowed to stand out, and they're balanced so that if you try to, you get smacked down. The only person allowed to 'stand out' is the raid leader who gets off on barking orders at strangers via pre-made binds.
Being a good raid leader is the ability to make your teammates feel super for contributing. -
Quote:Why would people scatter them willy nilly? A good stormer/bubbler won't scatter them either, since they always spawn near the same spot.Well for one thing, if people killed the reinforcements with AoEs instead of scattering them everywhere, there would be more iXP. The final phase is a bit too tight for that, but the Nightstar phase in particular can result in decent iXP if her reinforcements are killed.

Quote:It might also turn out that someone who wants to maximize iXP would benefit more overall by simply going with the fast runners, since the newcomer can follow the fast runners to the next trial.Read what I said again:
I didn't say the wouldn't TAKE newcomers.
I said they wouldn't run the trials in a way to maximize Incarnate XP because:
They got thiers already.
I didn't say everyone is like this, but sad to say this is a majority of what I experienced. As of monday a high majority of what I experience on trials are to get the objectives done as efficiently as possible so that they can start another trial.
No sharing spawns, no distribution of tasks so everyone in the trial gets a fair amout of xp. None of that.
If the same overall time is taken running 3 fast trials vs. 2 iXP maxed trials it might work out that the fast trials might give them more iXP in total, or something very close. -
Quote:I reported you for griefing my tables.as much as i would like to have that become a widespread rumor, i dont think it actually matters. i got around 6-7 very rares and about 8 rares and 25+ uncommons over the 1st week of play on my cold defender. some runs i would toss only buffs for the puller tank and some i would go crazy and buff all 24 people and some pets... i think its still random, we were just lucky.

I've gotten 3 rares and the mostly uncommons and commons (65% unc) in about 50+ runs. Sample size is too small to make a comment but seeing someone getting a rare/v rare in the league each time makes me think I'm doing it wrong.
Not sure how random is random but the luck I get is the bad kind mostly. Usually I have to make my own luck.
