    Carni go bye bye

only teamed with you a couple of times, but it's always sad to see a good hero departing.

Congrats on the impending babyfax too.
  2. I should be able to make it.
I had another check on Hami today and ... well there're mitos all over the shop - see. There's a nice little cluster on Not-Cowards Hill too.
  3. I just logged back in on my main, back in the jelly in the hive, and it seems that the cluster of mitos that spawned on the hold team are still there. How long should they last?

  4. great job on the organising guys. its a shame someone spoiled it all.
in any case here are a few screenies i took myself
    Hamidon, pre-heroes
    Start of the hold phase
    Hold phase again
  5. thanks for the help guys, much obliged.
And, I've been trying that "goto" command, and yes it is much better.
  6. Hi guys, if anyone can answer a couple of questions for a new MM it'd be much appreciated.

Can you stack the /poison debuffs (envenom and weaken in particular) on a single target? In other words is there any point in me spamming it at a boss or other longer lived target?

If I picked up vengence from the leadership pool could I use it when one of my henchies kicked the bucket? (I suspect no, but thought I'd look for some confirmation from more well informed people than me).

Lastly, I've noticed that reasonably often, when I send all the thugs to attack a target, particularly one on a higher level, one or two of them will just run back and forth for a while before jumping up there and attacking, or one will do a slow motion run at some piece of furniture in the way. Is there any good way to avoid this? I'm assuming this is just wobbly AI and not really a bug, or should I just /bug it when they do this?
  7. Cool, grats Tyl
    nice one like
  8. Is there some rule for how to spawn two versus spawning three? Its a real pain when three show up, as they appear to be very difficult to separate out.

Clicking other players etc will not unhide you and no self/team powers will drop it either (A least I believe that is correct for the team).

Just to add to this list - you can summon all your pets as well - its very handy to be able to throw out spectral terror or phantom army while staying invisible in PvP for example.

I don't have a high enough stormy to tell if any of the powers in that set count as pets - I'd guess this applies to anything that shows up in your pet window.

Fallout has a bad rep, possibly becuase people focus on it as a damage power. The damage is mediocre, the debuff is spectacular. I wouldnt say its thats its a great power by any means, but come the 40's with a shed-load of AV's (who are going to be even tougher now...), you ARE going to have deaths, and exploding a corpse by an AV's feet always gave the team a considerable breathing space and chance to inflict much greater damage.

Fallout is probably the last on your list of priorities in rad set but don't dismiss it lightly. I found it usefull, and I think it will be even more so when debuffs are going to be vital to face Av's in issue 7 (and deaths more common).

    [/ QUOTE ]

    True and good points.
To be fair, I really shouldnt have commented on fallout since I've never seen where i could fit it in my build to give it a try.

Now that I think about it, have you tried this in PvP? with people are dropping pretty regularly it might also find some decent functionality there.

(I think only 2 AV's spawn for backup each time, but I'm not sure - could we end up fighting all 5?)

    [/ QUOTE ]

Going by the couple of times I went to RV when I7 went to test first, it was pretty common for a third AV to show up (which seemed to Capt. Mako usually for some reason) while fighting the first two. And IIRC one on occasion when there was a bit of back and forth with pillbox capturing in the zone I think I remember a second wave of reinforcements showing up too - so all five out (but maybe i dreamt that, it was kinda late).
  12. Sounds like fun.

I'll try to be there with Proc (ill/rad).
  13. ok as the rad powers -

radiant aura - well you have to take this, not exactly the worlds greatest heal, but slotted up with 3 heals can save you and your team on occasion. you might add recharge+end redux if you can spare them, but I wouldnt worry too much about it.

Radiation infection - take this early, it still provides good damage mitigation for the team, and people will hate you in PvP. Get to-hit debuffs in it in the early levels, and look to have it six slotted with 3 to-hit debuff, 3 defense debuff by the late game. (You'll find the defense debuff part really handy against Paragon-protectors and other high defense mobs later on)

Accelerate metabolism - take this early, its a great buff - buffs damage, recharge rates, run speed and recovery (maybe other stuff too). Slot 3 recharges first and then move on to 3 end recoveries after that as you can manage.

Enervating Field - this is another one you probably should take - a real tip the scales power. It reduces the damage output from a mob, as well as debuffing their resistance (which will provide a bigger buff in the late game when people are SOed up on attacks, since damage buffs apply to the base value, while resistance debuffs apply to the final buffed value). its quite heavy on endurace, so wait till after stamina, then 2 or 3 slot with end reducers.

Mutation - this is the best single target rez in the game. rezes to full health and end, while giving a nice buff to boot. The power text mentions a crash once it wears off, but this has been removed for some time afaik. Despite all this, you'd might be better off going with something that would stop your teammates from dieing in the first place. Just put a recharge in the one slot that comes with it if you take it I'd say.

Lingering radiation - another one I'd say to take. Slows move recharge, movement speed and regen, so it'll be of enourmous help against AVs in the late game (particularly with the I7 buff). Slotting this is a matter of preference really - i think i have 2 recharges and an end redux in mine.

Choking cloud - i'd regard this as optional. a bit end hungry and you'll probably have better control available from your primary. I think at base its a 50% chance to hold every 5 seconds, so 3 slotted with hold durations you'll have 3/4 of the mob held within 5 seconds which isn't bad.

Fallout - skip it. it can do good damage, but its far too situational to take when theres so much other good stuff about IMO.

Em Pulse - take this. Massive PBAOE hold, with good base accuracy, long base duration and with an end drain part too. I have mine slotted 3 recharge, 2 accuracy and 1 hold, but a lot of people will go 2/2/2. Be careful using it when you're running toggles since it stops you from recovering end for a while - it bit be worh investing in one of the end-affecting powers from the epics because of this.

    Invis in pvp

the numbers of the powers are discussed here

the upshot is, even someone with the lowest +perception they can get (one small yellow insp) can see a non stalker from about 50ft. Someone with a +perception power will see you from something like 250ft. (its a pretty similar story for stalkers who just run hide, but they can stack powers and have a much higher stealth cap which is where their advantage comes from)
I usually run group-invis, which is the same invis number as superior invis (but when it supresses it stays supressed till its reapplied).
I work on the assumption that everyone can see me unless I keep my distance since most have some form of +perception in the PvP zones.
  15. Just to make a quick suggestion - if you have trouble getting enough people you could do it on the test server. That way debt is also meaningless, people with a spare respec could add in some powers that might be specifically useful to what you're doing, and people from Defiant (like me) and elsewhere could join in.

But fair enough if you'd rather not. Best of luck with this and fair play for doing some investigating. The whole thing has me most intrigued.

You've got to love someone who's willing to charge into any group of enemies first, no matter how likely he is to die instantly.

    Hamidone!

    Great stuff everyone
Thanks to the all the organisers for a really great job. In particular Archy for giving me a spot in the PA drop team keeping us updated; and Xanthus for his awesome organisation and giving me a handy singy to target
  19. Thanks everyone,

especially all the Iron Monkeys - a fun bunch and a great help along the way, and the Heroes of the City who helped out a hero in his early days in Paragon. And to everyone who took part in my weekends AV-athon and helped me make it with all of half an hour to spare for the hammi raid - that was great fun

And cheers for the screenshots, my screenie-fu is quite lacking

ok then. I found the site where I read it here, so you people don't think I'm just making stuff up. And in looking for it, I found plenty more places that said they DO in fact stack aswell.

I could be wrong on this, but I thought that when used in combination build up and aim cancel out their secondary effects.
    i.e. build up: +100% damage, +50% accuracy
    aim: +100% accuracy, +50% damage
but used together: +100% damage, +100% accuracy.
So maybe you'd get more mileage alternating between them.
*I read this on a forum somewhere so it could easily be wrong*
