So, what did we do when the game had no badges? Poor babies miss out on badges?? badges are only bragging rights, with the few exceptions being accolades that actually do something for your character before badges became completely useless ;-)

On Blasters: As stated above, by the time a blaster is in enough trouble to warrant the damage buff, they are running for their lives as opposed to taking more shots at mobs.
On Stores: IF all stores are going to be converted to contacts that will supply inspirations, make sure to list ALL inspirations that will eventually be available from that contact in the store screen. Gray them out until they are available but don't leave the player wondering if it's worth his/her while to invest time with a particular contact and then discover that the enhancements offered are of no use.
On Wings: Hire one animator whose duty will be to make wings work for every AT and toon (not as a seperate AT). Take as long as required to make this work. There is no such thing as investing 'too much' programming time for a feature that we've anticipated since prebeta. -

Observations:
1) The 'hide/unhide' buttons seem to be unstable; /chatbeta 1/0 is required to change this toggle.
2) Logging in as a new/different character seems to reset the global status to 'hide':
= good, so that players can choose which toons can remain incognito;
= bad, in that the '/chatbeta 1' command must be entered each time a more socialable toon is being logged into. Can the system be coded to remember which toons are preferred hidden and which are not?
3) Hiding in Global Chat does not seem to affect the 'server' status of a toon on another's 'friends' list. This makes the 'hide' function in Global chat useless.
4) The 'Shard' column (which should be renamed 'Server', btw) in the Global list does not appear to be functional. -

Of course it says 'Master' Account (then goes on to give a definition of what they mean by the term).

Your $15/month pays for whatever NCSoft games you have purchased and registered. Fair, since you can only play one of them at a time. Hence, the OP's concerns are unwarranted, as are the concerns of those that have filled 4 pages of this thread even after Lord Recluse's response set the OP's mind at ease in the second post.
