    Hi all.. I have a friend that is a F2P and is wanting to try a /storm summoning MM. As I am new to the AT I don't know what primaries pair well with /storm. He made a ninja/storm but before he put too much time into the toon I wanted to see if /storm complimented ninjas well or if they were a terrible pairing or somewhere in the middle.

    As indicated I searched and found a lot of threads that contained info on the demon/thermal combination and I did read them. There were some things they mentioned, like slotting the prince and gargoyles for end reduction and to slot for the slow on the demon prince.

    My question is how much of these do you need to slot for. I tried to search for builds, and I know my searchfu is pathetic at best, but all the builds I found the link was dead on or didn't contain a code block my mids would open. I've opened other builds from other AT forums so not sure what the issue is.

    I guess my question would be if anyone had a demon/thermal build they could post so I could look and get an idea what to shoot for and slot for. I've read that demon/thermal is a solid build but i seem to be having a hard time keeping them alive in mishs at 42 so I assume, as is usually the case, its my fault 8D.

    Any help would be really appreciated.

    Hey Guys,

    I was just hoping people could take a quick peek at this build and give any thoughts opinions. As the title says its going to be used for farming while staying away from purple and other expensive sets.

    With the low recharge of spin and burn I went with the energy APP to help with end issues and free up the use of musculature if he makes it to the incarnate trials.

    Hey guys,

    I wanted to make a fiery melee scrapper but can't decide what secondary to pair with it. I have a SS/FA brute so would rather it not be /FA. Not that I don't like the set just wanted to try something different. Of course if /FA is just that good with FM I'd do it again.

    Thanks for the quick responses. I've already tried the lower level rolls I was incorrectly assuming you would get recipes of only that level range as in only as high as 24 on a 20-24 roll.. oops lol.

    I was rolling on the level 45-50 golds and not making any money so wanted to see if there was a better more consistent way so thanks again for responding.

    I am trying to build some inf to slot up my SS/Fire brute (my first 50) and I was just curious when doing the AE farm maps which reward rolls were the most efficient for building inf?

    I'm not sure this is the correct place to be posting this and I apologize if it isn't but was hoping someone in this thread would know.

    Thanks again for all the responses. To the suggestion of SS/Fire I understand that it is a great farmer but I was under the impression that it wasn't very durable for fighting tougher enemies, is that not the case?

    Motley_Cruel I did make a scrapper because some friends were making heroes and I didn't want to wait to 20 to play with them, you had offered to post a sample build for a fire/shield and if you wouldn't mind I would appreciate it. I haven't played in a while and forgot what most of the commonly used sets were.

    Thanks for the responses. I like the fire/shield idea. I was curious why you think shield is better for scrappers? Not disagreeing just curious. If it is a lengthy technical reason you don't need to go into it if you don't want lol.

    Now I'm curious what the differences would be for brute vs scrapper. Do scrappers do more dmg for their lower hp and lower resist cap values? Or are the differences negligable?

    I just started playing the game again and was looking for a brute that as the title implies is well rounded. I want someone that can solo av's with the right build and set up.

    Reading through the forums it sounds like any set combination can farm with the right set up and map, being the fastest farmer isn't a huge concern for me so long as it can be done.

    Hi all,
    I was looking to make a brute and was thinking of making one for farming mostly and from what I have read SS/WP is good at it but looking at mids the aoe dmg on foot stomp just seems mediocre even with some fury and rage active. Is this not the case? And if I were to make a brute that I wanted to use for farming but be good all around (and not a fire/SD as a friend plays that) is one of the above combos best or should I look to other power sets. I can look at mids and see what looks good or bad on paper but would rather hear it from players who have experienced what some of the sets play like.

    I am looking to make a decent farming character and have decided on Spines as the primary because I haven't leveled that set before and it is great for AoE dmg. My question is which of the two secondaries would be best for farming all in all. If it isn't too much to ask any suggestions as to the benefits of one versus the other or the pros and cons of them would be appreciated.

    Thanks for the replies so far, seems as though elec armor is a little squishy when compared to others at least in the 30's which is the only experience I have with it and it seems to benefit a lot from IO slotting from my time spent in mids (although my midfu is sadly underdeveloped). Is this true and would it be able to hit the +2/x8 number I see people mentioning often in the farming posts?

    Hi all I have recently returned to the game and been looking through the forums to decide what kind of scrapper to play. Similar to a recent thread posted I was looking for a good all around scrapper, one I can farm on without being horribly slow or inefficient, and also one I could potentially try to solo some AV's on when I get 50 and the right build. I read in that thread fire/shield was voted best with a fire/WP second but my friend plays a fire/shield and my other friend plays elec/shield and I'd rather not copy them. I have 3 scrappers in the 30's and was wondering which if any of them could be made to satisfy my goals above and which would be best at it:
    30 Spines/Invul
    33 DB/Elec
    35 Kat/Elec

    I had considered leveling a spines/elec but I don't know if elec is the best for farming with it having zero defense offered through the set and how important defense seems to be nowadays.

    Any advice is welcome and will be appreciated!
