    I have tweaked it a tiny bit.The unaltered screen capture has abit too much lemony yellow for my taste. I sorta see Infernal's fire blast a tad more orange. I changed the outer edges of his fire to a slightly darker shade. Not really worth the update to the thread I guess but anyway...

    Tweak

    Also a slight de-saturation of the colors so they are not so overwhelming.

    Not too much to add to this one really. This might be my favorite screenshot ever. I really don't think it would benefit much from any additional effects.

    But I bet I don't leave this one alone either.

    OMG DJ! That is without a doubt my very favorite piece you have ever made. That just looks stunning. I really need to just sit and stare at that for a bit to take it all in. Almost photo-realistic.

    That's the guy! What happened to him? He was really good at coloring. Hope he's still around.

    Oh hell yeah. Being a good colorist is an awesome thing to aspire you. Coloring can totally change the art. It dramatically affects the mood of a piece. In many some ways I personally feel that a colorist is more responsible for a piece's emotional impact than the penciler.

    Not to take anything away from them of course. A colorist has nothing at all until someone makes something to color.

    I remember one artist who used to frequent these forums. I'm gonna go research him in a minute as I forget his name and haven't seen him around lately, who was spectacular. This guy made me so jealous with his ability. I think he was a friend of Jomaro's if I recall. Anyway. He took a piece from Dale Keown (admittedly a wonderful starting point) and colored it. The ending art looked like a painting! Really wonderful talent.

    TA help me out here. You remember this guy, I know you do. He had a shark toon which was his avatar on the forums also. His backstory included some problems with Mako, even though they were both villains they hated each other if I remember right.

    The shoulders/chest/helmet are all part of the Roman Costume which you can unlock by running the ITF.

    I think the blast goggles definitely DO work.

    There is a bit of a dissocnnect with the look, as if the low tech goggles and the hi-tech costume should not work but they DO. It loos nice I think, like a lot of Cyber-punk stuff seems to work when at first glance it shouldn't.

    If your striving for a more unified look to the whole I would say try the wraps or even one of the visors. I personally think it would make the costume slightly less interesting to look at though. Hell, I might even try taking the goggles as they are and actually making the frames brown. Just to see what would happen to throw an even more realistic look to them.

    I like it very much as is.


    P.S. I'd love to see thw cyber belt on that costume though, just to see...

    BTW Jacobi looks VERY nice. Gratz on using subtlety to make a wonderful costume. Nice color choices etc. without being overly-bright.

    I was under the impression that if you slotted 4 Miracles into, say, Aid Self that the +5% Enhancement(Heal) would NOT apply to it.

    I thought that the bonus was only applicable to powers that healed OTHER people not yourself. Is that incorrect?

    Mid's seems to indicate that the +5% heal bonus DOES apply to Aid Self.

    Weeellll,

    Here's another take.

    Not sure I like the lightning. It definitely adds more "pop" to the picture but it may be overshadowing the character too much. Then again maybe that's ok?

    Hello Heroes!

    It's been awhile! I decided to roll up a Claws/SR scrapper and he totally got the best of me. Concept is important to me and I really fell for the idea of a speedster. Actually it's a concept I have wanted to explore from the very start of my trips to Paragon City but CoH really doesn't let you just roll up "the Flash". I settled for Claws/SR because of Claws fast recharge and SR obvious potential to fit a speedster mold.

    I had no idea my end result was gonna be so powerful! I love this guy! Having so much fun testing and challenging him that I just haven't gotten to any Photoshop shenanegins. Until today.

    This started as a bit of a ripoff of an older paper I did featuring my blaster of the same name. It completely took on a mind of it's own though and I have had a great time with it. I'll most likely tweak it some more but it feels done enough to post!
