Why not..

1. Invite all the RP'ers interested to a designated channel.

2. Start a mission.

3. Invite the 'hero' to the mission.

Pretty much it. Roleplaying occurs in or out of mission maps, the channel is used for OOC discussion, every other channel is IC. I mean.. guy logs into CoH, asks for team invite OOC, then once on team, slips IC. If the events become more popular, then more teams.

Regarding the Sirens PvP event, I'll try and get the elite corruptor squad: Shogans of the Dark to come.

We take weekends off, but fingers crossed, 'cos we pwnz!

Alts: Atlantic (24. Ice Tank) : Pious Hunter (40. Decoys & Shields) : Nathaniel (14. Empath) : Lily' (14. Blaster)

I play those four in-character. They'll more likely team with heroes of similar security levels or become a sidekick.

All four are bound to the Dark Covenant SG.

We doing villain-side as well? I'm enjoying CoV more than CoH these days.

I defeated Back Alley Brawler today so I'm loaded. How much for a dozen of those?

You know Samy, that is an excellent idea. I dunno if it has been done before, but why not suggest this to the devs? I'm sure loads of RP'ers would support the request, I for one wud be right behind you.

Maybe they could even include this feature in the i7 release.

Very true Doc. I mean, the way I look at it, there are four ways to city of x. 1) In character missions 2) Hardcore level crunching. 3) Player vs. Player 4) Badge hunting.

I actually like all four. But no everyone does.

Count me in please, if we are making an RPSG coalition. "The Gang" VG and "Dark Covenant" SG should be okay with it.

Oh good. I mean, I've been one of three leaders of a supergroup for five months, so I know a fair bit, but a mentoring group would really really help! I have loads of questions on base raids and IoP's.

Skull Biker and I will be leading "The Gang" after i7, so a mentor would be great.. Do you guys have a global channel we could join?

Sounds like you want a roleplaying group of gamers, rather than a group of roleplayers?

The best thing to do in this case is find a supergroup that plays the game in-character. I dont know any, still looking.

I mean, my cousin and I used to roleplay two blasters, we'd do an in-depth pre-mission session that'd be linked in with whatever we're about to do. Heres an example scenario..

D: The man's name is Statesman. What is it with you? You got a problem with capes?

J: Spandex Davorus, spandex. I'm afraid one day you'll walk in tailored in brightly coloured tights, acting like a mutant.

D: Whatever man. I'm the commander of this team, not you. And for your information, Statesman has promised to shuttle the squad back to the US.

J: So what are we waiting for?

D: I promised him we'd help his city out, use our extensive devices, advanced weaponry and military tactics to uphold the law here.. for 50 days.

J: Davorus, we are not cops.

D: First mission briefing Jay, we are to patrol. Atlas Park, largely populated. Criminals groups: Hellions and Clockwork. Get the boys, we move out in ten.

Then we enter the mission and blow everything up while chatting in-character. Awesome fun.

Hi Bonnot. One idea would be to keep him under your own tactics, and keep enforcers/punks fighting relatively near him (the "go to" command).

I would advise slotting bruiser with 1x ACC, 1x EndRd and 3x DMG to start with.

Will you be soloing or partying away from the gang mostly? B'cos you should take into account other people's enforcers that'll be running about stacking manuevers, tactics and assault, let alone the leaderships of other masterminds.

She remained silent.

The two paced across the central hexigon before making a u-turn around the back of the school.

"Adam actually gave an order to Dirigente, did you notice?"

Myrtyl did not reply, the silence made Pious feet very awkward. "Yeah" she sighed at last. "Only I get to order my dad" she joked, a slight smile playing on her lips. Pious felt at ease. He decided to change the subject.

"Myrtyl, have you ever fought crime? I mean, like an actual fight with thugs"

"Yeah, there was a time 'The Family' raided our house. They burnt down the mansion looking for dad, mum and I had no other choice, we had to defend our home."

"Wow, a full on fight with 'The Family' huh? How was it? How did it feel?"

She didn't answer, she couldn't. It took a while, but Pious soon noticed the tears in her eyes.

"I.. I'm sorry, I.."

"No, its not you silly" she breathed, throwing a playful shove at Pious. "Fighting is ugly Pious, I dont like it, I dont like it at all."

At this point, Pious reached for her hands, when she accepted, he followed through and embraced her. He would not pretend to understand her, but he comforted her none the less.

"Daddy always said 'with great power, comes great responsibilities', well, sometimes I hate my talents."

"You can manipulate gravity, right?" asked Pious, she simply grinned. "That'd explain your super jumping, even the way you threw my folder.."

"You're partly right, I am indeed gifted with gravity control, but I can jump high due to some severe reductions made to my inertia."

Pious chuckled. "You and your Physics, say, when our next tutoring session?"

"The Gang" are currently doing time, but Shin Apostrophy will be there to represent.

But yeah, there is a villain group forming over on the test server. 24 guys from union, some from defiant, some on vigilance and a few on here. Skull Rider speaks german so he is finding people who may be interested in a Thugs MM supergroup.

I wish I could read what you're saying better, but I can pick out one or two words at least.

So Skull, what I said was; maybe when issue 7 hits, the german thug masterminds who break out of jail might run into "Die Gang" and join up then, if not on here. I can imagine a similar thing happening on the french and defiant servers. Also, what promotion system and rank names you have in mind?

Blind invites (team or sg) are the most annoying thing ever. When I'm looking for more teammembers, I type:

/tell $target, Hi, four-man team fighting level 21's, need some help, you free?

Then I simply select the name of the individual, send the tell and carry on with the mission. If he or she ignores my plee (which by-the-way I think is rude, all thats needed is a "yes i'm free" or "no, I'm busy" *rolls eyes*) I simply select another individual, scroll up my chatbox and send the same tell. I'll do this until the team is set or if no-one seems to be free.

Blind supergroup invites I dont come across, if I make an alt, I make it into a pre-set SG. But I can understand "testing" a build and then being disturbed with spam'd invites. Annoying! If I were at your keyboard, I'd join the first to prevent others. Making sure to point out to the invitee exactly how annoying blind invites can be. (Whether or not you let him know its only another test build is up to you).
