I have teamed with Starfire-One many a time. Yes, his style is his own. Yes, it doesn't work for everyone else.

But please, trust me when I tell you--this build does its thing, and it does it well. Maybe it's because it's suited specifically to his fighting style, but I'm telling you. It works, in play.

Furthermore, ease up kids. It's a build SUGGESTION, not a how-to manual. Post criticism and critiques that are POSITIVE and HELPFUL, not commentary that slams the person without having seen him in action.

Yeah, hopefully. She's good, too--her turnaround time is pretty decent, and she's been doing this for a while, so she can do lots of styles. And even if this doesn't work out at all, it's been a hell of a lot of fun!

So a while back I posted a piece that I commissioned from my friend Akane no Hime. She then gave me the piece I affectionately refer to as: Phaeton and his Ladies.

Well, guess what? She's open for commissions. And I'm helping her manage her business and get started. (I'm SO LUCKY--she's so good, guys. Seriously. And she works EVERY DAY on different styles so she can get better. She's a flipping WORKAHOLIC)

We're not quite ready to start opening up commissions yet--but soon, I promise.

Glad to hear it, Peregrine. We're trying to determine if the style works for people--that is, is the Manga-influenced thing still popular enough with people to warrant commissions. Not to mention, she does painting (oils, acryllics, watercolors), which could mean good, new stuff for people.

Hey all. It's Phaeton. You don't know me really well (well, some of you do. But I swear, i won't tell anyone), but hopefully, you'll like what I'm about to show you.

I am in the process of working with a very talented artist to develop a commission business like MMOart and the like. She (the artist, akane no Hime, or Akane for short) is professionally a graphics designer who also draws--we're experimenting with different ideas and styles for her.

So I'm thinking about writing some comics with a friend. But every time I go online to check to see if some name is in use by a professional comic company, I find some minor, obscure character with the name I want to use.

Does anyone happen to know what the copyright issues are with naming characters the same thing, if conceptually they're different (for example, with two Captain Marvels, do DC and Marvel have some agreement, or what)?
