    Hami Mondaze!!

Wow Shay. Everyone's mad at you for leaching XPs at the raid. Next time just turn the XP off.

I couldn't get there on time and wondered what happened when I did log in. Nicely done all.
  3. Take care Bud and hurry back when you can. I won't ask for your stuff because you already said no, but can I borrow it while your gone?

    Keep up the great runs!

I too solo'd this. Was killed 47 times on the first map before giving up.

    Great job ... again.
  5. Happy Forceday, Birth.

AAAAHHHH! Got that mixed up AGAIN!
  6. Yikes Witty. Good thing you typed that early in the morning because you should be all patched by now.
  7. I was a little worried about an invul tank but she did great.

Ever have any trouble with autocorrect? Here is a whole web site to it. Some very funny stuff here.

But I tried to download that about 8 months ago for my son's computer and the download time was 80 hours estimate. I just installed and updated instead. But since you have 18 updates to do, it just might end up faster for you witty. (Or just have it upload overnight, which wasn't an option that I had.)

I've tried that and keep getting killed before I can find the door. Lusca really is a devilfish.

    Hami Raid

Good luck everyone. That is at least 4 hours before I can possibly make it but I have all the confidence that Liberty will bounce that jello.
  13. I can make Monday's at 8:30 ish PST start. I can contribute a blaster or tank. I've only run this once but the raid seems fairly simple. Hardest part is remembering where your original mob is between spawns.
  14. Thank you everyone. I tweaked the settings (most significantly World Detail 175%) and still get 28 fps looking the "wrong" way in Grandville and 50 fps everywhere else.

The 10.9 package should have the 8.77 drivers in it.

Thank you so much. I was so confused. I'm up to date with the drivers now and I'll report back after I visit Grandville.

    Hami Raid

12 minutes is just fantastic. Good going everyone. Wish I could have been there but my son had a baseball game. *ahhh* Got to love SoCal.
  17. Thank you for the suggestions. Implementing as much as I can now and if I finish early enough I'll jump into the game. If not, I'll go tomorrow and let everyone know how I fare.

I deleted most of the bloat but I am getting nowhere on updating the drivers. Catalyst, the ATI drivers program, keeps telling me my drivers are up to date but it's stuck at version 8.77 when I've downloaded v. 10.9 to install. I've tried uninstalling the drivers but it only succeeds in uninstalling the card, and reinstalling the card only gets me back to the old drivers. I know it is probably something very simple but I just can't get the drivers to update. What am I doing wrong?

    first things first.

do a good cleaning of the system and remove all the bloatware.

loose any of the HP and norton background apps (the best video card in the world wont help if your CPU/memory pipelines are choked down with useless junk.

    load the latest ati drivers

I uninstalled Norton and some of the HP stuff. Is there something you recommend for removing this stuff?
  19. Thank you. I wasn't sure about those. They're on on the other computer but wasn't sure how much trouble they caused.
  20. OK, I see one thing, update drivers. Which version because I see some comments there are problems with the newer ones.

  22. My son bought a nice computer about 2 years ago and got a 9800 nVidia card. The game looked great and we never had any problems.

After Christmas, Staples had a close out on computers and I picked up what I thought was a screaming computer for a very reasonable price. HP Elite HPE-250f with an i7-860 processor, 8GB DDR3 RAM and an ATI HD 5770 video card. Much to my disappointment the City runs slower and looks worse at the same settings as the 9800. Two items that are readily noticeable is a lower frame rate even in non-stress settings such as running alongside cars and much poorer world detail. I was hoping I could get some help here to fix the problem because I have little confidence Staples will know what I'm talking about at all.

Thank you for any help you can give.

  23. I'm on my first character, Peterbilt, and I just made the switch to Port Oakes and got an invite from a level 11 MM to join a team. We played that night and as we ended he asked if I wanted to join his SG. Not knowing what it was I said yes and was the second member.

Over the next month or two we recruited about 30 or 40 characters/members and started to get teleporters and all the other goodies for the base. Except we knew nothing about what we were doing and couldn't get the Cap banner for the teleporter. The leader got it in his mind that we couldn't get this one because we had members who were part of the group who joined after we got the banners for our characters outside of the SG mode. Neither of us knew that all we had to do was revisit the beacons, so instead, he starts kicking all the members so he can visit the beacons and get the banner. I kept telling him this couldn't be right, and then I started to tell him we were losing prestige, and then I told him we were getting negative prestige. He stopped when there were only 5 characters left, me, 2 of his, and 2 other people. He logged in frustration that night.

The next day I log on and there is a message from him saying he was sorry he destroyed the base and that he was quiting. I looked at the base and there were only two characters left, apparently one of the other players decided to quit too. We were over 100,000 in debt and I was in no mood to recruit, so I quit too.
  24. and yes, thank you for another fine raid. Thank you for leading it.
  25. The after Christmas sale at Staples had a 3 month old HP with an i7 processor and a 5770 video card. I thought I could crank everything to "11" but my experience with the video card is very disappointing. I'm finding my son's 2 year old computer with a 9800 has better details and faster processing at the same UltraMode settings. Should I have expected this or is there a problem with the card that I should ask about? I've had the machine less than 2 weeks and wanted to put it through a Hami before I made a final determination.
