Quote:Yes, what this guy said. How much sense would it make to choose at side at 20 and then be banished to the Rogue Isles or Paragon City from 20 to 50? They have only talked specifically about the new "1 to 20 experience" but it's reasonable to assume there is a new path to 50 in Praetoria (or 40, if they save the 40-50 zone until Issue 18). The only previous expansion we've had (CoV) had a full 1 to 40 experience on launch. My assumption would be that the next expansion would have at least as much content... more, in fact, because CoV had 5 whole new ATs and lots of new sets, as opposed to GR's two new sets and possibly no ATs.
-
So then I should just plan now... play new 1 to 20 content and then power level to 50... ?
That is the big plan?
:e:
I am actually quite excited about todays info... but you guys are like serious Debby Downers. -
Quote:I read that too, but I think they just didnt put the rest of the information out yet. I dont know about you, but I have done all there is to do several times over. And the reason I am looking forward to GR sooooooooooooooooooooooo much is because I will have ALL new things to do on alts. I do not ever want to have to go back to Sharkhead simply because there is nothing new to do. Nor do I want to have to go to Talos. From what I've read so far, there'll be level 50 content in Praetoria (possibly 45-50 or even 40-50), but for character starting in Praetoria at level 1, it seems you're forced to pick Loyalist or Resistance (determining Villain or Hero) by level 20. Of course, if the choice is made at 20, then the lowbie Praetoria content may extend up to 25 or 30, but I wouldn't get your hopes up.
They have been working on GR for a really long time now. I would think they would offer us atleast as much as what came with CoV. -
i really hope your just WRONG about the level 1 to 20 content being it.
there really had better be content for lvl 21 to 50. -
Villains needs its own stuff.
I get that heroes cant handle that side of the game getting any attention. But, yanno... Co-Op -
This is the kinda tidbits I have been talking about, now if we can honestly get this type of information at least 1 time per week for the coming weeks, I personally would be extatic >.> spell check.
Yay. -
Co-Op stuff is just a cop out...
When is the last time VILLAINS got new stuff just for them?
I really hope GR doesnt turn out to be the new villains... redheaded neglected stepchild... -
I NEVER TYPED THE ZONES WOULD BE RESTIRCTED.
I just said the zones inner content would be origen specific... Anyone can go in and explore. The raids wouldnt be limited to just the person that can unlock them. -
Here is my and end game... >.>
In AoC, I have like ZERO desire to get to lvl 80 because I have sat here and watched my husband RAID... and OMG that looks like the epitome of absolute boredom.
Posi said this end game he wis working on is FUN, in all caps...
Guess what, Cryptic said their unity carp was gonna be fun... and guess what?! It's NOT. It's NOT fun. It's absolute grind boredom-suckfest.
When I heard/read Posi is incharge of endgame, I was like, "Oh". Wow, I wonder if this game that I have loved so much since forever, will actually have an endgame I think would be fun?
If not atleast GR is bringing a whole new 1 to 50 experience. I can always fall back on that.
Just a week ago thoe, I moves all my static 50's I was never gonna use ever again over to Freedom... (I moved 16 50's)
Leaving abunch more 50s on my home server Virtue, that I was actually gone move more over to Freedom... because I never use them. -
Can you just remove that post about that other story. I took it down to rework it and make it better.
I, instead, put up a newer story that I have been working on for a while. -
My husband came up with this brilliant idea tonight while we were - you guessed it - farming.
This is what he said, "We should have origen based end game content." So, as an example... Lets say your character is Science based, well when he turns level 50, he would get an invitation to an origen city. Science should be underground with a new "super bad guy" in charge.
The underground metropolis would obviously have a huge city in it, with large creatures flying around to provide the light for the zone. on the outskirts of the city it would be complete overgrowth of subterrainian plants, rocks, etc. He would also like underground hot springs/rivers to be flowing through here.
Now the story for the city would be based purely around science. So science storylines. Full zone content. And he says there should be a giant RAID available after completing the origen storyline... Where you fight some enormous monsters and that "super bad science guy" as was mentioned above.
He also think we should have Origen based "Super IO recipe's", for completing your origen storylines. -
Quote:Indeed that is what I was thinking.PP, you and I are in agreement there, but I fear we'd be in the minority.
I say let's apply the "giant monster code" to all baddies in in the "public" zones
I dont really think it should be in open zones, but what it should be in is every single mission in the entire game.
Then None of the content is level restricted, and you can pick and chose the story each of your characters experiences. It would make the game more of a "Chose your own Adventure" mmo, than any other game out there.
All games want you to play them the way "Almighty Dev Guy" has chosen for you to play it.
If you did what I just said, Almighty Dev Guy just has to make it, and then WE are in control over our characters, and the game.
That would be epically super extremely exciting. -
#366603 Culinary School Terror
Very Short, possible Elite Boss (depending on your settings)
Multiple objectives.
Had 3 people go through it and assist me with spelling disasters, etc.
Feel free to leave your thoughts. -

In my imaginary bubble...
I think foes should be your level. Period.
If I am lvl 33 and in Atlas and decide to kill a Hellion, he should turn to me, laugh in my face, pop some sort of pill/suringe and turn into a lvl 33 Hellion. And then he should kick my @$$... and laugh at me. -

Quote:I haven't complained yet.Yes, but we weren't sure if (or how big) this new end game would be. Them using the term "End Game system" implies something big. After all, you don't just throw the word "system" onto something small. Honestly, you may not be happy with the fact that the information we got today was a tidbit, but isn't that what you've been asking to get for weeks? A tidbit to "keep you interested"? Well, you have a potentially large tidbit to speculate over, with the promise of more coming, as well as a reason for why we haven't heard much. Be a little happier with what you have for a change, instead of complaining that it's not (and probably never will be) enough.
If I wanted to complain about this I would.
All I am saying is, there wasn't really anything new.
And I would like some new information.
Lol, my husband wants new videos of the game, a date when we can pre order it and ALL other information about Going Rogue, like Yesterday. -
Quote:Do you all disagree with something like this as well?
I also think that star ratings should be calculated by the length of time a person is inside said mission.
By maybe a average time it takes for someone to "complete the mission".
When one person starts a task and complete the mission, it may take an hour.. when ten other people do the mission it takes between 40 minutes and 90 minutes...
When someone goes inside a mission for 20 seconds, pops out and 1 stars it. They should get a warning, as they did not actually play the arc, and their rating would not be entered in for the mission. -
Didn't we already all know that they were bringing some sort of end game content

Quote:Animated hair could be a new powerset... why not wish for that instead?GG, I know that animated hair is like a holy quest for you, but given that BaBs recently reported testing with multiple capes and the news wasn't good, I think you can lay that to rest. Animated hair would be the performance equivalent of a second cape, and the framerate hit would be unacceptable. At least that's what I read into BaBs's comments.
You could have a hair whip... and have it do all kinds of neato stuff...
Animated hair on everyone is not as awesome as it seems, I was psyched about it in AoC, but now is just like "meh". If it comes... ok, but it would have been cooler to do something else with the animator guys time, imo. -

Cryptic is also working on end game content.
Wow is also working on end game content.
Lotro is also working on end game content.
Aoc is also working on end game content.
This announcement while interesting to our game was dont have any actual end game stuff, is like throwing alcohal on an already existing fire.
End game stuff... that he said he cant actually say anything about.. other than it is fun?!
Ok, well lets move on to some other something like maybe the new zones that are coming, with content in them. Something? Something new? Something we can chomp on for a few days befor we become the ravonous individuals we actually are. -
I think her first duty now that we know about promotions should be to tell us about the new zones that are coming down the pipe.
That would give us something to get excited about.
and keep us at bay for alittle while. -

I think if when you 1 star something a little box popped up that said, "So this story was so bad that you couldnt understand what was going on at all? There was no text? and you feel the author put no effort into the story at all?"
Yes No
If you click Yes and your rating will be submitted.
and do something like that for each star possible, but I think a Dev should actually chose what that box says, I was just giving an example.
I also think that star ratings should be calculated by the length of time a person is inside said mission.
