Wow, thanks Star. You're awesome!!!!
I love it!
I also checked out the Graver one, and thats pretty much how I pictured what he looked like in my head.

waaaaaaiiiit, did you call me insane? -

I do have a question for you: I noticed that you often draw the hands and feet slightly larger that normal. I assume it is on purpose so I must ask ( trying to learn from he bests here) Why? Just for style or is there more to it?
Thanks
[/ QUOTE ]
It's because Sam Keith has taken over Graver's brain!!! Mwahahaha
Actually, if I remember correctly, I think he said that it's because your brain puts importance on your hands so he draws them big to make them look the right size to your brain subconsiously(sp?).

Okay, 2 weeks ago I posted a sketch of roxstar
and I was wondering how many people actually saw it.
Please critique it if you want, but I just kinda wanted to see if anybody actually visits my thread. Juggerthas' sketchdump or individual piece thread just got me wondering. I stopped posting individual piece threads because I didn't want to crowd the boards with my posts, but I don't seem to get any critiques when I just post it in my Pep art trade thread.
I like getting critiques, so I'm justing trying to figure out if I'll get more if I post each drawing individually.
Thanks for your time

Those are really great star. So so cute.
I just want to say you are like an art machine. How do you pump out all this art so fast? It takes me forever to draw somethin'.
-Pep -
Um, thanks roxstar. Thats great, although I think her uniform may have shrunk in the wash.
-Pep -
It took me awhile to figure out what was wrong with the sketch, and I finally figured it out. She doesn't have a red flower pot on her head. Otherwise, it looks really good.
And Hemily should definitely "crack that whip", and get Graver moving on this piece
-Pep -
Looking good Rowr.
Now just put her hair up into pigtails and you can say it's Pep so you can get your rowr sketch I made you.
-Pep -
Thanks Foo, thats awesome. She's even in her new school uniform!
Really made my day.

Well, I haven't had a chance to do any drawing this past week because on top of all the usual things I usually do, my sister had a mental breakdown and was placed in the hospital for depression and stress. Alot of my free time has been used going to see her, helping with her 3 kids(1 has autism), or visiting my family. This also kinda put me not in a drawing mood. Hopefully she will be released this week, but she could be kept there longer.
As far as I know, Square_Woot is the only one I owe a drawing, and I hope to get to that this weekend.
Anyway, if anybody would still like to trade. Pep Rally is my character I would like drawn in trade. She also has a second outfit if you'd like to draw that instead. Pep is in many ways a typical teenager. She grew up dreaming about getting on the cheer squad, and had crushes on the hunky guys in school. Unfortunately, she was 4 foot nothin, and no boy would look at her and all the snotty cheerleaders would laugh at her, and tell her she would never get on the cheer squad, but Pep never gave up hope, practiced everyday, and was always positive and upbeat.
After being exposed to the radioactive carbon rod she had fashioned into a spirit stick which she had kept under her pillow for the past six years, Pep's pituitary gland became supercharged, and when puberty struck she grew to over 8 feet tall, and gained superstrength. The girls weren't laughing at her any more, but they still didn't let her on the squad, and would say mean things about her behind her back.
Pep was pretty hurt by the mean cheerleaders, but she remained ever cheerful. Vowing to cheer for her team from the stands.
One day her school was caught in the middle of a turf war between the trolls and outcasts, which the authorities could not handle. In order to protect her school, Pep fought off the waring gangs single handedly, and her heroing carreer had begun.
Pep is cheerful, bubbly, mischievious, eager to please, a team player, humble, very protective of friends, loyal, encouraging, helpful, down to earth, kind, but she will not hesitate to beat the crap out of you if you threaten her friends, a little goofy, and a little insecure when outside of battle. She is sometimes in awe of her own strength, and all the heroes and villains that she comes into contact with that come from her hero lifestyle.
Prone to getting crushes on hunky men.
well I hope to have some new art next time I post, so until then this is Pep signing off. -
Awesome work, Square_woot!!
Sappers do usually cower in fear before Pep because she has 6 slotted HO'd Intimidate. Before she got it, Pep was usually drained of all endurance then perma-held. The only thing I hate more than sappers are Knives of Artemis. Caltrops really suck.
I'll step up my efforts on my end of the bargain. I think I have an idea of what I want to do, but haven't had the chance to start it. My sister had a mental breakdown last week for depression and stress so I've been spending my spare time visiting her and/or helping with her 3 kids(1 with autism), and the double xp weekend didnt help either.
I'll try to get it done this weekend, I promise.

Well. Im on Champion. But Im not nearly as much of a art freak as the rest of the... freaks here.
[/ QUOTE ]
Yay for Champion!!! Woot! Atomic Knight is there as well, but I doubt any of our galleries can compare to TAs. I'm poor, so I can't afford to commision any art, but I do have some nice pieces I've gotten in trade.
The only non- champion toon I have above level 10 is Fenris Harlock on Victory at lvl 42. -
very nice DB, scarf_girl. I especially like how you colored her abs on up to her neck.
Yo already know how much I love the Pep drawing. It's your best ever!! Of course I'm biased.
-Pep -
Did someone say trade? I thought I heard trade. I'd love to trade some art with you, Kashalicious!! Thats a really great picture!

There comes a point where I think my art is good, look at others', and then sulk, and then I realize: noone else does music here.

Well there, look what you made me do. I've been known to play thee Gee-tah in numerous bad garage bands in my day. I put a few of our songs on the internet for your listening displeasure.

Well, since comcast was taking their merry time getting my cable back up last night, I had time to work on my Roxstar sketch. At least they got it working by the time I got up in the morning so I could post it.
Drawing a huge guy is quite challenging. I don't know how Liefeld does it. And I think I'm glad.
Take all the time you need Rox to finish your Pep drawing, I'll be here for awhile. I know you are going through some bad stuff. Unless drawing is theraputic for ya.
-Pep -
I really like the fun link in your sig, DJ. I wish they'd make an animation of that. BTW, what are light-speed's powersets?
-
Thats great, star!!! I really like the sparkles. How many horsepower is that vac anyway?
-Pep -
Wow, that looks awesome, Graver, soooo far.
You have alot mor esteps than I do. I basically try to think of an idea for the sketch. Maybe, Maaaaayybe do a little quick thumbnail, then start drawin'. Of course, yours come out way awesomer than mine.
Are those eyeballs on the medalions? at the end of the strings attached to the nemesis staff?
Since you dared, I'll guess that in the concept sketch TA is crouching on a ledge, with his left hand holding onto the edge, and his nemesis staff in his right hand resting on it. TA's cape is billowing in hte wind and draped down over the building's ledge. TA is looking down at the city below, and there are angels floating down from heaven behind him.
How'd I do?
-Pep -
well, I have 2 that I've posted before, but some people may not have seen them, and I think they are THAT cool so they need to be posted repeatedly ad nauseum.
Neither was actually taken by, but are of me.
Pep Rally being eaten by a Rularuu eyeball taken by my fellow Legendary Captain Triage, and Pep staring down a wisp overlord taken by Wittylibrarian.

When you say "next time", do you mean when you color it, or is there another art trade in our future?
