War Witch loves temp powers IIRC and we haven't had any Ultra Rare recipes for temp powers yet, sooooo.....
How about an Orbital Lance purple recipe? -
I had a Zalman VF1000 on my HD4850 for most of the time I used it and it kept it nice and cool. According to the Zalman website, that model is also usable on a 8800GT.

Sign me up as TBA, I'll fill whatever role is needed.

I've tried a few times, but the only PuGs they seem to ever take are Rads, Kins, FFers, or Cold Doms. Of course, by the time I do get an invite, the change currently on Test will roll Live.
Tasks
- Warburg Missiles can no longer be used in the Cathedral of Pain.

It was fun, thanks for hosting it. 4½ hours is still a very good time for a 1/2 PuG run without a meat shield.

Eh, I figured with 2 quickly recharging AoEs and Shield Charge, every minion and lieutenant would be dead. The 3 single target attacks (plus Brawl/Boxing, Nemesis Staff, Blackwand, and/or Sands of Miss) would more or less destroy any boss that survives. 2 more AoEs seems like extreme overkill, but YMMV.

Quote:I recommended the KC's because he was 4-slotting Mako's Bite for a meager 3% damage boost, while KC would give him a melee defense boost. While, yes, KC is more useful for the smash/lethal defense boost, it's melee defense boost is far more useful than the damage boost, IMO.I'm a little confused by the Kinetic Combats too.
Shield has positional defense so why would you be interested in typed defense? Obviously typed and positional gain 50% of each other (if you see what I mean).
I use typed defense for typed armour (ice, WP etc) and positional for postional armour (SD, SR etc)
Am I missing something?
Quote:I'm no expert that's why I come to you guys for advice. Maybe you can suggest something better that isn't radically different from what I was going for. The bonuses I was going for were in end reduction/modification/recovery (this toon is an end hog with just common IOs), recharge, accuracy, defense, and damage. I honestly don't know what the softcap is for defense but I was under the impression that I was at or close to it by following the build that Paragon posted as closely as I could. I noticed that both he and I forgot to slot resistance into deflection and thought that I would add that. I put the kb protection in because I thought I didn't have enough. Is active defense all I need? When I do start slotting this guy with sets I plan to go after the problems with end first and then worry about defense, etc.
Edit: Here's a quick serious build I made up. If I were to roll a Shield/Fire Tank, it would look something like, but not necessarily exactly like, this.

If you replaced the three 4-slot Mako's Bite sets with all 4 non-proc Kinetic Combat parts and replaced Hecatomb with 4 Kinetic Combats + Mako's Bite quad, you'd softcap to melee. In my opinion, it would be a better choice than the small regen/recharge boost you lose, but might not be necessary with Darkest Night. I also swapped out a few other IO choices (namely in LotG and AAO), but those are just personal preferences. If I have more time, I may do a complete rebuild; I don't like not having Taunt at 10 and AAO at 28 seems really late, but that would be for MY toon.

Sign me up on Dr. Hollywood (Emp/Psi Defender).

Sounds more like Grimlock. Me Grimlock no bozo, me king!

The team managed to aggro about 3/4 of the top of the platform when the AV spawned. For whatever reason, the AV went straight after Morna, while the rest of the ambush went after me; the only reason I survived was due to Demonic Aura. I managed to keep everyone else alive, but the AV plus about 40 enemies just overwhelmed me. ;p

Go ahead and sign me up on Infinite Agony (Mind/Thorns Dom).

Sign me up as TBA, I can bring whatever we end up needing.

Vigilantes and Rogues can join any Task Force or Strike Force (barring the ones in opposite-aligned Ouroboros), but a Vigilante cannot start a Strike Force and a Rogue cannot start a Task Force. If you're asking if they get the badge or not, I would imagine they do. I moved my badgers to the full opposite alignment before I could test that, though.

Obligatory....
This is Tonight! -
Sign me up as Dr. Hollywood (Emp/Psi Def). I think Morna wanted in on this one too on her main hero badger (her emp/psi too, I think), but I don't know if she still has Saturday free or not.

I tried to take a screenshot, but for some reason I got myself standing all alone in front of the galaxy city sg portal.
Time was somewhere around 2 hours 20 mins, but I forgot to set a defeat limit. Smooth run for the most part, thanks for the fun!

Oh, and in case anyone's wondering why you're only at 11/14 for Dimensional Warder, Bobcat didn't count for some reason, Siege was removed from the updated arc (for no apparent reason), and Anti-Matter has never been in the arc to begin with. If you're at 10/14, there are reports that either Battle Maiden or Mother Mayhem doesn't count in the new arc. (Thanks to MB for this info.) In case you're wondering why it's now 14 instead of the previous 13, Mother Mayhem is now required for the badge.
Update: Nightstar doesn't count from the new arc. So if you're at 11/14, you need Nightstar, Siege, and Anti-Matter. -
I've remade my toon a few times now, but I think I'll settle with the current incarnation. I'll be on a Fire Control/Radiation Emission Controller named Alchemist Rockbell, my first true hommage character. She's sitting in Nova Praetoria, having chosen the side of the Resistance.

Don't enter any opposing faction's "Board Train" mission (regular or TF/SF) from your faction's side of the world (Ouroboros, Green Line, Yellow Line, RI Ferry, SG/VG Portal) or a co-op zone (RWZ, Pocket D, Midnighter Club, Cimerora). Leaving an opposing faction's zone resets a Vigilante's/Rogue's "base status" to Hero/Villain, which makes them con as an enemy when (s)he enters the mission. This "PvP exploit" has been exposed on the forum by several other people already, so I don't see any need to keep quiet anymore. There has also been two patches since I first reported it and it's still in the game, which suggests it's not a priority fix.

Has deleted.
Sorry, out of character slots and Kinetic Melee fits the toon's concept better. Anyway, Dr. Hollywood (Emp/Psi Def) is the mission holder.
-
In case the team leads don't know, the arc's called "A Hero's Epic" through Ouroboros. I think it's one above "A Hero's Hero" on the list.
I'll be on Infinite Agony (Mind/Thorns Dom). -
Quote:I've never been on a successful Cathedral attempt, so I couldn't tell you. I was just pointing out that the "huge" had NOTHING to due with the merit rewards, since that's what you were asking about, as I understood the question.Originally Posted by GhoulSlayerDoes anyone know what ParagonWiki is alluding to when they say a huge mission bonus?
