Sorry I missed the opener guys.
Things in real life sorta took a turn for the worse today with my grandmother who has been in the hospital since before Thanksgiving. Going on 24 hours of the "waiting for the inevitable" limbo.

Thanks for checking in again Father Xmas. Going from memeory I went with the 3 GHz 1075, the HD 5770 and bumped up from 6 to 8 GB. I dropped the blue ray player.
I also suggested to the wife that, intead of returning the Intuos professional pen tablet she got as part of her Xmas bonus from work and adding a couple hundred bucks for a new flat screen in the family room, we add 50 bucks or so and put that towards a monitor and speakers at best buy and she went for it!!! So no monitor and speakers from Dell.
System should be here around the 18th. I am sure it is not ideal but I am close to my budget and it should be a big improvement over the current machine.

BM went off pretty well. One mish team in the Warzone and a Silver Mantis TF.
Thanks to everyone that came out and to Kanga Red for taking the on the mish team and Ms. Diva for basically running the show to get us started. I think Ms. Diva is Philly but all these people with different forum and global names fry my addled old brain and get me all confuzzled.

If that "with LED" means 'LED backlight' that sounds like a recent model monitor. Ditching that and putting the $$ toward the video card might be the way to go. Regarding the CPU, you might want to check if dropping to 4 cores would save you any money. Six sounds like a lot more than you need, based on your description of your computing activities. -

Yes, the graphics is sad. Not as sad as a system with integrated graphics but the HD 5450 is more suited for a quiet home theater system where playing back Blu-ray and DVDs without stressing a low end CPU than serious 3D gaming. I would say the HD 5770 is the minimum (they also offer the HD 5670) if you want to scope out the Ultramode settings.
Memory is fine. But do you really need Blu-ray (understandable option if you tend to watch movies on your PC)?
Thanks again. I would have been PO'd if I ordered and been disappointed with the graphics. From what I can gather, the AMD processors shouold work fine. Is that a good assumption? -
I know this gets asked repeatedly and I have spent the better part of today looking over various comp configurations online and here on the forums and quite frankly....my head hurts.
I have been playing on a Dell XPS 400 since I bought this game almost 5 years ago. It still fires up and does what I need it to but it is time to add a new machine to the fleet and put the old one into reserve status.
I know squat about computers. I want to be able to experience the new graphics and still be able to use the comp for basic office applications as the wife and I both do some side consulting in our fields. I was hoping to max out at $1200 but that seems to be impossible. This is what I am thinking about:

Congrats! Kids are great. My wife and I love visiting people with kids. Seeing just how much joy and happiness they are to be around. Then returning to our nice quiet and tiddy home.

I have an AR/Devices made for the Natural team but would be perfectly fine making something else so I am neutral on the matter. I might suggest having everybody get Preator White's missions out of the way just to dispense with the whole flower non-sense and have ninja run available at lvl 4 for a bit more speed getting around.
Also, what time are we talking MB? -

In an effort to lend a little help to Infy's attempt to restart Hami raids here on Tri, I have patched together a list of some of the guides that seem to have some good info. Please, if you would like to take part in the raids and have never experienced one or never been on a successful one, educate yourselves. The more we all know about what everybody needs to do the easier it will be on the raid leaders and the more successful and fun the raids will be for everybody.
Overall raid guides, the first is pretty recent the other two are a little old but from what I can tell they are still useful. Some info is repeated but worth a scan through:

The strategies differ some and I certainly am not saying they must be followed to the letter, but the basic info about how the raid works is good in all.
Other tidbits, from my past experience, for those that have never done a hami raid are:
There is a hospital bed in zone now so no more getting shut out because you left and somebody snaked your spot.
Think minimalist when it comes to costumes and extra auras. Anything to help reduce the lag.
If you cannot fly, go get a jet pack. You will likely need to get airborne at some point if you are attacking the Mitos.
EoE's are your friend. Hunt some Giant DE or buy some on the markets. Remember you need atleast 2 spots open on your inspy tray to get an EoE drop when you are hunting.
An lastly, be patient. These can be a bit like hearding cats, especially during set up.
I am sure others have better search-fu than I, and more experience, so please post anything you think might be helpful. I have been on successful raids redside here on Tri and I know we have the peeps to do these. Kudos to Infy for stepping up and putting in the effort. -

Thor, however, I am a huge fan of and collector/reader of the comics. I will look past a blip like earth instead of midgard if the film delivers on the godly bad*** feel that a Thor movie needs. So far it looks good. I can't wait for this movie to come out. -

I would be up for a mid range TF. I believe the good Major is lvl 30 at the moment so maybe a sister, Cit, Manti or a Striga TF if somebody has them unlocked. I know I dont because I think I have gotten every level on that tank through TT's. Looking forward to TT as always. -
TT will be on Champion tonight. Justice the following week then Freedom or Virtue week three, cant remember which. After that I have to check the schedule.

Yeah, it was a bit of bad luck scheduling wise for our TT. My announcement on TW was quickly drowned out in the din of LGTF, ITF, Ramiel, STF chatter that was all over channel, but that was to be expected on a launch day.
Still had fun and dinged 38 on my shield/mace so was a good night as always. -

It is not Baba's fault that myself or any of the people you know are unemployed right now and the fact that we are does not lessen his misfortune. Sure, he still has a job and we should all be thankful he does, but it is still a crappy situation.
I know we have probably only teamed a handful of times Baba but I have been around long enough to know you are one of the good ones. I think I have a couple time cards stuffed in a drawer that I bought for a buddy that never came back to the game. I would be more than happy to send them out to you. -
