  1. At first I read that as "Enter The (Hanna-Montana) Matrix" and I thought this forum had gone insane. Glad I just wasn't paying enough attention.

I can understand why you don't like to watch him. But I still feel he doesn't really talk down to his audience, you're just not part of his target audience. Whenever he talks crap about movie audiences, it never effects him negatively because his target audience are the people who agree with him. He's not trying to change anyone's mind, he's preeching to the choir which can often be apparent by the comments that are left on his videos.

And Spoony has said he thinks fans of certain things should be dragged into the street and shot. Yet Spoony is one of the most popular guys out there, most people think he's better then Nostalgia Critic or AVGN.

Distressed Watcher can not seem go too many vids without insulting the human race. Being such a joyless individual who seems hate everything makes it really hard put much stock in his stance. It's one thing to nerdrage it up, It's really hard to get fans when you're taking such sweeping over generalizes on the public all the time. There's movie I didn't like the public did.(which i nerdrage over plenty.) I'm not going suggest the world needs reeducation because of it. He crosses that line all too often.
You're taking him too seriously. Plenty of the internet critics exagerrate things, including the Nostalgia Critic who pretends to hate something just to justify ripping into it.

I'd probably agree with you up until I remember that movie audiences allowed Transformers 2 to be successful which is just not acceptable.

I've got a mixed feeling on this. Comic Ivy seemed to get hotter when she turned green. But BTAS Ivy was hot as heck and she was never green.

Because they don't get paid ad revenue for posting. Well they can if they have ads on their site but even if you don't like it. Video reviewers get more viewers then text bloggers get readers. Guess reading is too hard.

I'd probably hate Shia less if he didn't get put in roles that felt tacked on. Yahtzee randomly pointed out that he's in Transformers because we can't relate to robots and he's in Indiana Jones because we can't relate to a man who's past his 30s.

My point was since they were putting it on the PS2 (largely because next gen systems were new and they knew they had potential customers with the PS2), there was already a graphically weaker version of the game being made. Infact there are a lot of games that are cross plattform on the PS2 and the Wii even now. Because they are closer in graphical capability, meanwhile cross platform with Wii and other next gen systems... not so much.

It's certainly gonna be interesting. I wonder how they'll handle the differences going into the sequel. I mean he didn't get the girl in the comic so wouldn't that likely have a big impact on the story between the two?

You're right! Hannah Montana: The Movie: The Game was across all systems. Boy are we thankful for that!

My argument is that it's a time sensitive issue, you can't extrapolate data from today and assume it would be true in the mid 90s.
I hate to admit you might have a point. The Super Mario 3 nostalgia wouldn't have been as strong back then since the game would have been to recent.

Saturn still is the system with two of my all time favorite games. Dragon Force and Guardian Heroes.

Basicly WWF went a very long time with no competition at all. Then Ted Turner randomly decided "I want me some of that wrasslin stuff!" and bought a wrestling company. Turning it into WCW. At first it was very very bad even by wrestling standards, but Ted had tons of money to throw at it even more then Vince ever could hope to do with WWF. So he started playing dirty and hiring the big name guys off of WWF. Which led to WWF getting absolutely destroyed for awhile. But getting dominated like that actually forced Vince to try for the first time in like ever. But that's where the comparison would really end because once Vince started fighting back it became apparent that WCW was run by a bunch of corporate morons who had no idea what they were doing and it fell apart.

You could easily say Sony did the same thing to Nintendo. Sony forced them to actually try instead of just rest on their laurels.

Yet New Super Mario Bros Wii is the top selling game of 2010... and it came out in 2009.

Also the reason Sony succeeded was because Nintendo kept making games for babies when their original customers were growing up. Now they are somehow successful again by making games for babies and old people.

BTW LOL at anything that's not rated M being for babies. Heaven forbid an adult enjoy something that doesn't have blood gushing left and right.

I think the best comparison to what happened to Nintendo is what happened to WWF when WCW got strong. The only difference is that unlike WCW, Sony isn't completely retarded.

I thought this was going to be about who we love, to which I was gonna say girl Ranma. Now I don't know what to say.

Darn it thread, I am dissapoint.
  21. Gamecube actually did have online play. The problem is... the developers didn't use it. There were both a dial up and broadband internet adapters made for the system but PSO was the only game to use them.

Not only did Gamecube games usually look better then the PS2, they often had far better loading times. If you compared playing Gladius on the Gamecube to playing it on the PS2 (Which had load times in mid battle!). You'd probably be sorely tempted to take a sledgehammer to your PS2. PS2 rode on having backwards compatability, not being the better system.

Sony really did make the same mistakes Nintendo previously did. They let their success get to their head. They were making jerk moves and stupid mistakes. They actually blocked certain games from being released in the US for the PS2 on the grounds that "Americans don't like 2D games!". And let's not forget the infamous "The next generation doesn't start till we say it does!" which led to "Congratulations you just told a ton of developers who also work for you that their games aren't true next gen"
