I work 10pm to 6 am thurs-sat, tues and wed, 4 to 12.
Sunday and Monday work best for me. -
Sure, I'm game... or did you already do it?
If not time and place? -
Forming up on test... if not enough people show, moving to Virtue.. in about 30 minutes.
-
I think the copy tool hates Virtue because I've been trying all day to copy my most current version of Shado-Strike to test and haven't been able to. I do have a previous build on there, but was hoping to get the new version a try.
Either way Virtue or Test I'm ready... sound off if you're part of it which one you'd prefer. -
Just wanted to toss out a reminder for tomorrow night!
Forming up at 6 pm EST hitting the TF at 7pm EST.
If this goes well, I have an idea for what to do next that is all scrapper...
We might end up turning Sunday night in the Scrapper Forums Take over Test night!!!...
ANd once again here is the final roster:
1. Oz
2. Iggy_Kamakaze
3. Shawn_Sage
4. Celeste Cat
5. Werner
6. BrokenPrey
7. Hejtmane
8. Rieze
At 15 minutes to 7pm EST we'll start filling with alternates so if you didn't get on and would still like to show up and cross your fingers! -
My set would have:
Focus Chi Changed into a power more like Rage, Drop the damage buff to around 50%, but allow for double stacking.
Make the moves work like combos as Drane said.
All powers had disorient or knockdown/back.
Cobra Strike would have more damage and actually be worth taking
Eagle Claw would have either the Eviscerate or the Shockwave Animation.
Give the Eagle Claw Animation to Crane kick.
Will come up with combos later -
You asked for someone from the scrapper forums to post... third post you got someone from the scrappers forum.
[edit: oops it was third not second] -
This is my AV killer, he also can fight large groups and wades through anything but the most difficult TFs and has only died once on a hami raid... the team I was on didn't have tp ready at that time.

I'll take one of those invites for test.
Also, I'd like to have an open call for alternates in case some people can't make it.
If we get enough for a second team, cool, if not then just in case always helps! -
[ QUOTE ]
OK I'm there. Anyone?
[/ QUOTE ]
Due to a bug with the STF, and no response saying "Yeah, might as well give it a try" I figure it canceled itself...
After the bug gets fixed, we'll be trying again. -
Ok this is the story:
Team 1:
1. Oz
2. Iggy_Kamakaze
3. Shawn_Sage
4. Celeste Cat
5. Werner
6. BrokenPrey
7. Hejtmane
8. Rieze
We'll start forming the team at 6pm EST/5pm CST/4pm GMT?/3pm PST at 15 minutes to 7 we'll start filling with alternates.
I think I got those abbreviations right...
Shawn I can help with that transfer for you, I need to do some stuff on there too.
[edit to include Rieze] -

How does regen drop faster then I can toggle up?
[/ QUOTE ]
It's one of our super powers!
When Regen drops, it's often very fast. The line between perfect and dead is sometimes a fraction of a second of reaction time. Don't be surprised if I just suddenly faceplant out of nowhere if I'm on the ITF next weekend. Now, SO FAR, the Cimerorans haven't killed my main. But I've also never run an ITF, so it could easily get ugly.
Or if we run on test, I can bring Dark Melee/Super Reflexes instead, which sounds like it would be cruise control except for the autohit Nictus.
[/ QUOTE ]
My first 50 was regen... can't say I dropped as fast as they were. Honestly I don't think you'd find yourself in a situation that's any harder then a RWZ challenge.
But yes, I think I'd enjoy it on Test as well.
Next Sunday night at 7pm Est we'll try it again, on test.
If needed we'll do two teams... make a race out of it. -
I can agree with that, on the other hand I've seen teams that should fail succeed.
My first ITF, the leader had it set to Challenge rating 5, our "tank" was a WS in dwarf, we only had two 50's and half the team was sidekicked. It was the most fun I had had until I descovered the scrapper forum! We did the Tf in 2.5 hours... give or take a few minutes.
Well played team everyone knew their role.
I'll give the others a note of credit... they knew what they were getting into, I asked for no whining and I got none, despite the numerous deaths... so it may be that in the future they'll look into what scrappers can really do! -
I liken the scrapper forum to a martial arts dojo.
Generally speaking we all get along and are more then willing to help each other out when asked a question.
You have the friendly rivalries and competitions amongst the students... why do you think we keep track of our kills?
But in the end our training is proven in battle!!!
[Personally I find the term "Min/maxing" kind of insulting... for the most part people use it as an insult. Why is it a bad thing to understand the rules and make a character that accomplish lots of awesome things and be cool at the same time?] -
[ QUOTE ]
Sorry to hear about the ITF guys. Admittedly once we canceled the STF I wandered off to greener pastures for the weekend. What caused the loss, Nicto-rommy?
[/ QUOTE ]
When Shawn showed up and we were killing time Kraken popped up in PP, I'm bored, no ones biting. We go and kill Kraken, just the two scrappers against the golgathan.
I felt good, if two of us could take out a GM, Rommie had no chance!
But as I said earlier after two fights 5 deaths or more... It would have been easier to drag a platoon of marines up a hill... in the desert.
All the key points they dropped like flies. Phalanx, Requiem, Romulus [pre-nic]. With Shado having siphon life that helped me survive along with soft-cap of course. How does regen drop faster then I can toggle up? My first death occurred simultaneously with the phalanx going down. I died one more time when Rommie got a lucky swing. One of the dead scrappers by Phalanx was feeding me greens while I killed Phalanx... solo.
The end proved too hard, but I've never seen scrappers drop like that. Not even in standard PuGs, it was like all of them were used to fighting with full "Standard" teams.
Werner, we did have a Kat/Regen, she had a few IOs on her, and next to Shawn and Me, by far the most effective of the rest. But I agree, Sergei probably would be better for it.
Transhade, I'll admit I was tempted to go play on that one as well. Sorry to see you go, "Brothers in Arms!"
I stand by my feeling that if everyone was a fully capable scrapper, you know the kind that yawns when they wade through a "Heroic" TF... Basically those of us on here. -
heh... let me know if its acurate according to what you saw
Well as I said Shawn-Sage and I did an all scrapper ITF...
Unfortunately [as far as I am aware] no one else from the forums came to join in.
I felt real good about it when we were making the team, it was just the two of us and we went and duoed Kraken. A Kat/Regen joined and we killed time fighting on the wall in Cimerora.
The team filled, I feel it may have been a bad decision to allow two sidekicks, Kat/WP and FM/* [I think he was wp, but can't remember].
I set the death limit to 5 with a 2 hour clock for stat reasons, perhaps morbid curiosity.
We failed the death challenge after the second or third fight.
After going through with it all the way to Romulus, I truly believe an All Scrapper ITF w/o pets is possible, just a few ingredients are needed.
All characters must be 50!
All characters must have good survivability [tested with RWZ Challenge, Pylon, AVs, the wall in Cimerora (if you can't survive the wall solo, how can you expect to fight more)]
All characters must have decent DPS.
Now to explain:
Leading this expedition a few things became painfully evident, anyone sked was dying too much to be effective.
There were often times that I was fighting alone while the rest of the team was dead or dying, Scratch [Shawn-Sage] kept pulling aggro off the others and paid the price for that. If each team member was as survivable as the two of us were, it would have been a walk in the park. [Perez Park... if you must know]
When a team of Scrappers can't manage the dps to drop Rommy when everyone is attacking him... something is obviously wrong [I kept getting eaten alive by the auto-hit]
If all of us were 50, if all of us could survive without support, and if we had all had some focus on DPS, success would have been ours.
Shawn... do you think that'd be an accurate assessment? -
[ QUOTE ]
An ITF?
[/ QUOTE ]
Yeah, we were gonna do an ITF because of the repairmen bug with the STF -
Its the general opinion that all powersets with the possible exception being spines are capable of Soloing AVs.
Primaries I've seen DM, FM, Claws, DB, BS, Kat.
Secondaries: Regen, SR, SD, Inv, WP, FA.
The only primaries I haven't seen do it are MA and Spines, I believe MA can.
The only Secondary is DA, again I believe it can.
Basic rules:
1700+ HP
150+ DPS
300%+ Regen
As WP you'll have 0 trouble getting the HP, and don't forget the accolades.
BS should be fine with DPS
WP has no problem with Regen
Basically as I understand it, the easiest way to kill an AV for you would be to fight a Lethal/Melee AV, spam Parry...
Chimera, a nice starter AV, Bobcat isn't far behind.
Oh, and most would suggest a clickable self-heal.
Hope that helps and happy hunting! -
Well...
Did an All Scrapper ITF, not many of us who had declared our intent came, but it was what it was.
I feel we should have done better...
I have written a full assessment of it, and observations about it but I'm not sure if its too harsh.
How's about we try it again next Sunday? -
[ QUOTE ]
I have a hypothesis that the less DPS an AT has, the whinier its forum is.
[/ QUOTE ]
I like that!!! -
In game accepting people now...
I just learned that there are people who hate these forums with an undeserved passion... seems like you learn something new everyday. -
to the jobless which I only recently emerged from the recesses of, a word of encouragement... look into security, its one of the few industries that hasn't been hit hard by the economy.
The work is boring and sucks, but its a job and one that doesn't take too many requirements...
Btw I'm gonna log on in a little bit and start an all scrapper ITF. -
I could do an ITF, what difficulty? That is my only question...
Hmm... it also depends on time now, after I saw the STF was canceled I promised my GF I would take her to dinner... Maybe since we got alot of response we could do an early and a late one? -
ok, team is full
we got two scrappers, two blasters, a Tank [Transhade], a PB, Ill/emp Troller [if Fedor can make it], and a Rad/Rad fender.
Next order of business, the bug about the repairmen...
Think we can still do it?
If so, setting the time tentatively for 8 pm EST, immediately following hami raid on Monday night.
