DEFIANCE! *one shots Fusilier smacking him upside the head*

Again, it's only Ifinity. I get the Issue Infinity part, but the lack of the N between I and F keeps throwing me off.

    [/ QUOTE ]
Why didn't you tell me that in the first place? /smackbacksideofhead Fusilier

I went and corrected it. Hate it when I typo things.
  3. [ QUOTE ]
Outrider, I'm confused. Is it supposed to be: Infinity, where as I finity means finite issue? At least, I don't understand the punchline.

    [/ QUOTE ]
No, I for Issue and with nfinity or finity infront it becomes Infinity. . Like sometime in the future where its never gonna happen. Even you should of gotten that one you dolt /smackbacksideofhead Fusilier

Didn't know, thought it only boosted fire, seeing how its in Fire Melee.

edit: corrected to show two points of view.

It got put off to Ifinity

    [/ QUOTE ]

If you made that up yourself that was [censored] HILARIOUS.

However, /Fire is good stuff. All I'd like to see done is the removal of burn in exchange for Fiery Embrace.

    [/ QUOTE ]
Thanks Abysmalyxia, I think. Thought it was a bit subtle and nobody would get the joke. Your idea for Fiery Embrace is good, but I don't think it would work out that well for anyone who went anything/Fire which would be as useful as Powerboost is for Fire/. I think anything in the secondary should support the primary as well as the secondary. If it was changed to modify any damage type by whatever % for the duration and stacked with Build Up's 10 second duration then /Fire could be the king of damaging secondaries, see so few /Fire blasters post 15 I consider it to be small contender to the throne
  5. It got put off to Ifinity

It got put off to Infinity

  6. Gothbat, have you even tried /Device in the era of ED?
    [ QUOTE ]
    *toss smoke grenade*
    *cloaking device suppress*
    *WHOOSH!*
    *MISS (1 mob)*
Baddie01: Hey Guys! I see a hero over there. *draws pistol
Baddie02: I see him to *picks up piece of asphalt*
Baddie03-12 pick up assorted guns, grenades, swords, rocks, and throw them at hero.

You do what you logically would have done pre-suppression: Watch for "miss" floating up and re-apply to catch the one(s) missed. The only difference post-suppression is the wait for CD to un-suppress.

    [/ QUOTE ]
You missed the entire point, or you would of seen it if your up to date with /Device. Your close to aggro range when you toss a smoke grenade and cloaking device suppresses. If one mob sees you, it can yell to its buddies, they all draw weapons, and take shots at you while you visually watch the puff of smoke hit them. They are hit with the -perception and pitiful tohit debuff, but they are still aggroed on you.
    [ QUOTE ]
Before ED and the SG fix and the caltrops fix. Yes, it was overpowered then. It was godmode before the SG and caltrops fixes.

    [/ QUOTE ]
Over powered or broken? They got fixed damn fast, or the next Issue release. Now, compared to /energy which is over powered (but not godly) it has everything you could want: build up, conserve power, power boost, boost range, 3 blaps. Hell, if "Range is defence" why the frack is a boost range power not in every secondary? The only reason so many considered /device great was the different play style it offered other then blapping the hell out of stuff.
    [ QUOTE ]
AT was rarely used beforehand. Not like it was the key power of the set. More like the booby prize at the end of the road.

    [/ QUOTE ]
One thing I will agree with you there. When hasten was permable I think you could get out about 3 turrents at once for a very short over lap with a few recharge. Thought that was damn cool. Never could fit it into my character though.
  7. [ QUOTE ]
You realize if you wait a few seconds after throwing the SG, CD un-suppresses and you can toe-bomb as normal?

    [/ QUOTE ]

    [ QUOTE ]
But, then, there are few powersets that the same couldn't be said for. It is my belief that the majority of the griping comes from being too used to the set's previously overpowered status suddenly finding themselves knocked down to the status quo.

    [/ QUOTE ]
OH?!?!?! /Device was overpowered since when? *points at the /Energy secondary* /Energy has the best of everything and its been FoTM for how long now? Kinda felt I was just under par pre-ED on my AR/Dev, didn't bother me that much in groups. Feel extremely underpowered at times post-ED as it got frustating to play my AR/Dev on solo heroic missions with mobs that mezz out the wazoo.

    [ QUOTE ]
Odd, always wiped out full packs of minions up to yellow when I used it. Toe bombing isn't a tactic for use while teaming, no, but for street sweeping hazard zones it's rather effective.

    [/ QUOTE ]
Shows how long since you really played /device. The only /Device that were streeting were Fire/Device abusing smoke grenade. Nobody really street sweeps anymore except for "Kill X amount" missions. Its far more effiecent to get a mission (reduced debt!) and a better experience reward at the end.

    [ QUOTE ]
Like I said, /dev is not the godmode it used to be, but it's not as horribly weak as people make out.

    [/ QUOTE ]
Its effectiveness got reduced on a power that the majority of /device skip. Auto Turrent, an immoblie/low damage/long recharge/short duration/huge endurance cost power was neutered so its good only for one fight then wait for its long recharge, now compare it to Total Focus which is used every fight often and does a hell of lot damage.
  8. [ QUOTE ]
I'll give ya a hint, the FF generator doesn't make up for it!

    [/ QUOTE ]
Lets see, higher defence then cloaking device (for arguments sake, 3 defence SO) and low status protection. Or, buggy mines that need to be inserted into a mob's shoe using a crap -perception power (SG) which suppress my steath power (CD), best decription for that is "self defeating."
  9. [ QUOTE ]
Just confirmed it on test: Auto-Turret can no longer be teleported.

    [/ QUOTE ]
Though you confirmed it, I had sent an PM to Castle last night. He didn't respond to it before I left for work and first thing I saw when I got back was this:

    [ QUOTE ]
Yes, it applies to Auto Turret.

    [/ QUOTE ]
Yet another pointless nerf for a sub par power. I am so angry about this (and I don't have AT!) I am wishing that Thunderstrike, Total Focus/Conserve Power/Boost Range, and BU in every powerset get nerfed to the effectiveness of /Dev. Thanks Devs! Waited 6 [censored] months to see a positive change for /Device. [censored] IT! He is retired from here on out.
  10. [ QUOTE ]
Do you not realize that they couldn't even be talking about devices??? They could just as easily be referring to specific powers from the future Inventions system (speculation, yes).

    [/ QUOTE ]
I am leaning more to the slip of the mind. Gadgets and Devices are the same thing, mechanical objects? It also says there "Gadget secondaries" in the patch message. It doesn't say any up comming "Invention" and the inventions will probalby just be temp powers you can make (wild speculation)
  11. Test server: Connecting #10....

  12. [ QUOTE ]
Well, in the past "token" has typically meant that you get another chance to change something for free.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Level 15 characters will also have a whole new set of titles that they can add to their character name. Simply visit any Trainer and check out the new titles that are available.

    [/ QUOTE ]
Thats what I am asking, Are they giving out "tokens" so you can change exsisting titles? If you read the above qoute, thats the little bit of info on the Vet rewards page when it comes out. All it says "Level 15 players recieved new new titles" and not "You also will recieved a free (costume, example) token"

    [/ QUOTE ]
Anyone curious if they are giving us the ability to change titles as well with free costume tokens and respecs? I have several characters I kinda want to change the titles but I can't since you only get two chances.
  14. Wow, great work. Those are awesome! You have amazing skills. I just can't see myself spending that much money on a picture though, I really wish I could

Endurance drain is cut in PvP, you only do 1/4 effectiveness against a player then you did in PvE. example 100 drain cut to 25. Electric blasters can't drain a villian melee fast enough while that melee beats on them. So I don't see any point for resistance to endurance drain for PvP, only thing I would fear is a Kinetic Def/Controller/Corr but i think they can only drain about 1/3 a bar per shot.

    [/ QUOTE ]

One of my best toggle droppers is end drain. I love using energy drain on hard to hit targets like /sr scrappers of anyone running ff. Down go their toggles, theyre shocked, i kill. Ice tanks have an autohit energy drain too. And I would hardly discount a 1/3 of your bar end drain.

    [/ QUOTE ]

With the cut to endurance drain, the only time you can drop a toggle is if they are already sucking wind. It would be very difficult for both an elec blaster and /sr scrapper who are at full/hp, for the electric blaster to outright drain the scrapper before the scrapper kills the blaster unless your really luckly. It might be a viable tactic, but I don't find it to be very effiecient for a quick kill against a melee.
  16. I am not talking about massive amounts of endurance recovery from attacks, but its enough to keep my toggles going and I have only had my endurance drain to the point all my toggles dropped twice, but this is from 1-10. I have just started my early teens. I don't even care for the Malta sappers drains, it takes them like 3 blasts to get my 44 blaster down the point my toggles start shutting down and they are usually dead or incapacitated by then. Mu are a pain, but EVERY attack applies -recovery and that is over kill in my opinion. Simply giving them a quick burst type power for damage and a heavier attack with -recovery would be easier to deal with.

    [ QUOTE ]
I'm interested in keeping the -recovery resistance as is, it's impossible to get any other way and it looks to be a pretty good pvp combo.

    [/ QUOTE ]

  17. I just got Static shield on my brute and was looking at what it protects against. It protects against both Endurance Drain and Endurance Recovery. Other then the Mu minions, I don't know of any other villian type in both CoH or CoV that drains/debuffs so much. Could not one of those be removed from Static Charge and replaced with Knockback/down protection? I would prefer to see drain removed, as both electric melee and lighting field do recover some endurance back, Conserve Power/Power Sink, and endurance drain/recovery plus endurance regen in the 38 click power.

Don't know if it has been mentioned before, only about half way through this thread and saw some mention of changing the Grounded power into something like Rooted. It would be easier to remove one of the Endurance Drain/Recovery and replace with either immoblize/knockback then redesign an entire power to act different.
  18. [ QUOTE ]
...You already owe one to everybody who took Whirlwind...

    [/ QUOTE ]

You do relize Whirlwind was being abused? It was never ment to unroot animations and such. The power was just poorly designed to act as Repel/Repulsion Field. It should of just animated the player to spin for a few seconds, then have a graphic like Repulsion field or Hurricane to indicate the toggle is active.
  19. [ QUOTE ]
I didnt come here to start a war I'm just saying 9 outta 10 blasters are /nrg /electric on my server and I'm telling you the Bone smasher from the blaster set is 100 percent diff from Brutes/tanks/stalkers its totally diff everytime I get hit I lose all 3 of my toggles and I'm stunned instantly it totally negates mez protection (I run integration) having played both sides of the PVP war for quite sometime now I know blasters are a bit over powered when it comes to detoggling they do not need to detoggle to kill remember you do 30 percent unresistable damage with each attack I beleive I wish I had an attack other then AS that dropped 3 of your toggles and stunned you everytime in 1 hit.....I thought that was a controllers job? I can have 5-6 holds from a controller stacked on me...but 1 bone smasher kills all my toggles AND stuns me If they were to nerf detoggling by half of what it is now it would probably still be over powered.....I liked issue 4 when one of the main and only detoggle powers was brawl in the arena

    [/ QUOTE ]

Regen has one toggle, integration. There is a good chance it will be detoggled by bonecrusher, it has the chance to detoggle 2 and if integration goes first you can be hit by the disorient turning off the third. With Resilence, you can't be stunned easily if integration is off and clicking on instant healing can make you difficult to be killed by a blaster.
  20. All this talks reminds me of that post so long ago with these words:

"And the blaster rose his hand, waving the finger of righteous indignation at the developers."

It was something along those lines, kinda like a Bible scripture. Wish I could read that again
  21. It will never happen. They will just find an excuse to fix something about scrappers/villians first. I am done with CoH and my month is just about up so I could careless, but for those sticking around I hope they do something to improve blasters. Good luck...
  22. I am betting someone didn't check the decimal point for smoke grenade when giving them powers. If its a 10.00% debuff, it could be 100.0% and when the npc is higher it only gets worse trying to defeat their defences. Of course, my AR/Device's smoke grenade is completely worthless as I miss the intended target most of the time and it hits all the mobs around it, but that just could be me.

    This is Moirae on Triumph.
    Moirae Posing
    Moirae in flight
    Moirae close up

    Moirae closeup 2

I would of used my newly earned Aura, but it would of oblitterated the view of the costume so I used accererated metabolisim effect. I really like the halo effect in the Moirae close up. Added the last two close ups to show better detail on the costume, Icon seems to be the only place with even lighting.
