Not actually entering because I really don't care about the inf, but I'd love it to be Statesman getting dead as payback by Kara The Scorpion.
I mean seriously, what the hell did she do to piss him off enough for him to personally break her spine? -
Hey all random question about endurance (mind you my search fu is weak, so if this has already been asked/addressed please just steer me in the right direction).
What is the highest possible endurance on a single character given Powers, IO's and accolades? The highest I've been able to manage on Mids is around 139/140ish between a brute and a Mastermind.
Thanks all for your time -
After looking over what's been posted, and then running a bit of it in Mids...all I can say is thank you all for the advice. While my current/originally posted build operates fairly well, I can see where the suggestions and tweaks will help to make it run a whole lot better.
While I do occasionally use Blazing Bolt and Thunder Clap (The former for annoying runners and the latter for fun) I definitely won't cry at removing them.
Of note on the Force feedback proc, is that thing auto fire? Or should I be throwing it into hurricane for a constant buff? (Assuming toggled on state vs. off/constant gale use)
Also, going to look into re-slotting Web Envelope with Gravitational Anchors if/when I can swing the cash.
Any other advice and critiques are welcome
Thanks all,
-Opti
EDIT: Missed the above - not auto fire. The question itself still stands though. Would the FF proc be better in gale or hurricane or some other power? -
Hey all,
I know I don't post much (though I read the forums a whole lot), but I was hoping to get some advice in making some refinements to my Fire/Storm Corruptor.
I've got him set up mostly for a moderate level of recovery, but it seems to be mostly at the expense of defense and recharge. I was wondering what a good approach to increasing overall effectiveness would be.
Money isn't too much of an issue, as I can always blast away at stuff to make more of it. My real concern was what I can or should do to more or less optimize effectiveness (Kill more, die less).
Thanks in advance for any constructive criticism,
-Opti

Awesome idea for a thread.
Arc ID: 248072
Author: Kunoichi Indigo (in game it wasn't a global)
Title: Limits of Parental Tolerance
This arc made the villain in me sing. Every parent has things that bug them about what their kid watches on TV or listens to as music, but not often do they get to do something permanent about it.
I thought this arc was really well written, funny and had some of the fewest spelling and grammar mistakes I've seen in a while. -
My question is in regards to the Korean version of the game that closed down.
(If any of this is already out there, I apologize in advance, and I would love the relevant links)
Okay, here goes:
Was there a completely different storyline and setting for that game, or was it a more or less a translated version of what we have here?
Additionally, if it was it's own entity with unique story, lore and locations; what happened to all of that data? Is it still floating around, or does it require translation (If so I'd love to have a crack at it)?
Thanks, and I hope I didn't sidetrack or derail too many people's lore questions. -
Thanks for all of the good comments. I'm hoping to be able to come up to HeroCon with my wife, son, and "Freem" in tow.
As for spontaneous powersets emerging from my son...well, let's just say he operates like a classic Thief from D&D. So it's looking like Super Reflexes all the way. :P
Anyhow, thanks everyone! Hope to see you all online when I've got the time (If anyone ever tells you that learning Korean is an easy thing that won't eat up your off time...they are liars!).
Later! -
Hey all, wasn't sure where exactly to throw this out at, but Virtue is my main server so...
Funny thing happened tonight when my wife and I were putting our two year old to bed. She was reading to him, and I was hunting down one of his toys that he could hang on to (a small apple-cart from his train set), but I couldn't find the one I was looking for.
So, I pulled the old switcheroo and nabbed up one of his other trinkets instead. So as I hand my boy a small toy astronaut dog that came with a space ship, my wife stopped reading and asked our son, "Connor, what is the puppy's name?"
"Freem," he said.
My wife and I exchanged a glance before I turned away trying not to laugh. After a moment of composing ourselves, my wife asked again, and for the second time our son tells us that the puppy's name is "Freem"
Now both of us start chuckling a bit, because we both play, and we haven't to our knowledge said freem around our son. After we sung him his goodnight songs, I asked one last time, and he still said the puppy's name was "Freem."
It was cute and funny for us, and we decided I should share this with you all. Thanks for reading, and I hope I didn't waste anyone's time too badly.
Goodnight all -
Arc 164205
Triumph of the Beast
Villainous
5 Missions
Estimated Time to Completion: Not sure, need feedback.
Created by @Unchained Malice
Forum name: Optimism_Penguin
Brief description: An alien race known as the Beastlords have legally acquired residence on Earth. You are being hired by some interested parties who want them "removed." For a price of course.
Notes: 1 Custom EB, 1 Custom AV, Fusionette.
The difficulty of the custom group is moderately challenging, but can be done solo. However, going solo is much harder than in a group (I watched my wife tear it apart solo, but I needed assistance, etc.)
I look forward to any feedback.
Thank you all for your time. -
Hammerstar, THAT is a really good suggestion. It hadn't even occurred to me to think of AE in those terms.
Thanks, -
Sweet, thanks!
What I'm looking to do with this is create a new sport all together that deals with superpowered beings of all origins.
Thanks for the assist -
Hey all,
I'm looking to do a kind of sports story for both Paragon City and eventually the Rogue (Etoile) Isles.
I'm digging through history and game lore for some semblance of accuracy, but I was wondering if anyone already knew, or knows, where to point me to find out what sports (other than Arena combat) already exist within both locations?
Other things I don't want to screw up too much would be along the lines of who would regulate such a thing in either location. I imagine in Paragon City it would either be a City or Rhode Island State decision (by means of some committee or sports commission). With the Rogue Isles I'm not sure if it would be beneath his interest or something like that would have to be approved by Lord Recluse.
Data or where I can find canon data would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks all! -
Not that I can say whom specifically these would be good for, but if you plan on doing a classical version I might suggest any of Richard Wagner's works for Redside use (if you should happen to want to do something similar for Recluse and company), or while distinctly overused (but still very nice) the 1812 Overture by Tchaikovsky.
Beyond that, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=chcV6Wm5grg may also be useful for Redside: The Disintigrators by Megadeth
I realize you are working on the Phalanx right now, but I figured just in case you get ambitious down the line here's some extra stuff.
Best of luck
