Thebe's got herself a nice green dress (To go with the mask) which has one end longer then the other to give it a diagonal swipe across her legs, and is happy to dance, if people give her enough room so she doesn't accidently send someone flying

And Sue will be around as an early eveing chaperone who'll head off to her room about mid evening :P

Sorry if I can across a little harsh there Warcythe, it's a bit of apersonal bugbear of mine, as for what's reasonable? Well staying withing a powerlevel you defined as per the power levels established in teh canon, such as States being the strongest person on the planet so he'd still have the edge on any super strength characters.

But it's kinda hard to define what the set limits are, because to me a good fight is one where the characters are smart, play off strengths/weakness and the enviroment try to outthink the opponant and so on, os as opposed to jsut standing there and pouring a massive blast of enegery into each other it's more fly around trying the find a break in the armour as it were, if I'm making sense.

Perhaps an exmple would be thus, say I have a character with lots of tech devices, no obviously in a straight up fight they'd get pasted by Jurrasik pretty badly, but they could in theory lure said gaitn monster into a large rap laced with high explosives therefore beating it, works within established pwoer levels, in a stand up figth said char would be pasted by anyone, yet thier downing of Jurrasik in this cse makes sense.

Because not all of us can maker uper IO'd up to the gills build yet still want to play characters who arn't neutred by game balance?

Take a psychic for example, most of thier things can't be replicated properly in game!

It bugs me for people to use OOC game level and so on to judge the power level of RP character myself. Though saying this I'm against excessivly powerful! Just ask some people what my average character power level is and see!

However, you've got to take into account that those are real world laws, and that primal earth most definatly isn't the real world.

Given the sheer number of dimensional refugees and visitors out there, I'm pretty sure there'd be some sort of special consideration in place for them. In addition we don't as of yet know the details of how the resistance is getting people to primal earth, fo all we know they could have a bargin with the law enforcment community of Primal Earth.

With the sheer number of unkowns here, it's hard to give you a definate answer.

Hey, Sue isn't an uber character damn it, and that argument was simply based on teh fact there wa a glitch in the mission so it made it look like there was a hostile where there wasn't, leading the other character who sued super senses to say there was more people to inist there was more people, as the glitched map said there was, when there clearly wasn't anyone there.

This is another issue with high level powers like that, it can lead to this sort of situation.

It's also an issue that if said 48 hours take that long to pass in a forum thread, yet IC said 48 hours happen say... this weekend, it leads to problems and conrdictions for on server RP.

One of the CoH comics had a hero trial thing too, due to conduct which seemed to non-deliberatly cause the death of a fellow hero.

The way it seems to work is that you register yourself, and so long as you don't go too far ie using excessive force adn killing people, you're all fine and get the FBSA's help, resources and list of contacts for investigating things.

If you do however use excessive force or kill or otherwise get your lience revoked I belive you loose all that and simply become yet another villian to be caught by the police/longbow/hero corps/indipments and so on.

And that Tech, is the point I'm making, RPwise we have to understand we are at a point divorced from game mechnics, thus saying 'But I can do it with game mechnics so I must be able to IC!' just doesn't hold water in my eyes.

Technically Mech some Nemesises do rule multi earth empires, the Nemesis from primal earth has at least one other earth in his intra-reality empire, no to mention abses in teh shadow shard.

And no CB, there's no unified Nemesis Emprie ebtween realities, there is in fact a rather large war going on between rival Nemesis Empries in the multiverse.

See if people actually read the portal corps mission dialogue instead of jsut using them to farm we wouldn't have this confusion.

Reading through the story of portal corp makes me think he discovered it at -exactly- the same time...

I could go on, I really could. Simple fact is Pandroas box opening just massivly increased the number of super powered individuals, not that there wern't any at all before hand.

Just to counter the Game Mechanics vs RP, I hate that so gods damn much, if we go off game mechanics we can have a street gng member fill us with leaf from a machine gun and not have to worry about it until burst number six, so personally I don't think basing what you can do in RP soley off 'I can do it in game though!' is a good idea.

Good thing Sue's schedualed to be out on Friday then.
